I'm going to recommend this game, even though it has it's share of problems and I'm mad at it. If you enjoyed Oregon Trail growing up, and like zombies, you'll find this game worthwhile. I have two general problems with the game though. My first problem is that the achievements are very buggy. Playing through the game multiple times over for an achievement turns from fun to horror when the achievements reset. My second problem is that once you figure out how the game works, it gets boring. Basically, theres generally an 'optimal' way to play it and once you know how, the game becomes less fun because you know exactly what to do in each situation...there are no more surprises. I mean, in the 15 hours I played I learned the more-or-less "right" things to do and got ranked in the mid 300s on the global leaderboards for a playthrough. I didn't feel particularly skilled at the game, just that I followed the obvious rules. Anyway, still fun for a few playthroughs. Get it on sale.

This is a nice replayable parody of The Oregon Trail, nice hunting and scavenging gameplay, it's just as difficult as Oregon Trail, and it's super replayable.

This game is amazing if you put in your friend's names as the survivors and put it on suicide difficulty.

Oregan Trail for grown up horror fans. Relive that vague memory of your youth as an adult who enjoys the horror genre.

A fun variation on a classic game. In Organ Trail you and your closest pals have to venture across the country in your station wagon, trading for parts, scavenging supplies in zombie infested areas, and hoping that you and your crew don't get bit. I purchased it because I had an itch for the nostalgic game I played in elementary school, and found myself playing through a couple of times to explore all of the game's features.

I named the characters in my group after people I care about in real life.

My best friend ended up getting bitten while out on the road.

Raising the rifle towards his face, pulling the trigger, and watching his pixelized brains splatter across the screen while his lifeless body lay limp on the ground was one of the most traumatic things I have ever done in a videogame.

This game is so difficult to give a stern review for. It's just a silly 8-bit game with a lot of humor mixed in with despair. You can name the characters after your real life friends and it makes it kind of heart wrenching when you have to put one down or they get sick or held hostage. You really get put into the game and realize how difficult it is to scavange and survive during a zombie outbreak. Replay is great and doesn't really get all that old. Aiming is kind of a pain in the ♥♥♥, if you look up videos for it you'll understand what I mean (it's so hard to explain), but you can overlook that. If you can overlook that, it's a really great game and I definably recommend it for hours of addiction.
