Malpractice Makes Perfect.

Surgeon Simulator 2013 is a darkly humorous over-the-top operation sim game where players become Nigel Burke, a would-be surgeon taking life into his own shaky hands, performing life-saving surgical manoeuvres on passive patients. Curious to know how Bob, the patient ended up on the operating table? Check out 'I am Bread' - the prequel to Surgeon Simulator, also available on Steam!

The original prototype – developed in just 48 hours at the 2013 Global Game Jam in January – challenged players to complete a heart transplant, armed only with an arsenal of clumsy and inappropriate tools and a hand that was diabolically difficult to control, using a combination of keyboard and mouse actions.

The full Steam version comes with additional features, operations and environments. From carrying out terrifying transplants in theatre to surgical procedures in the back of an ambulance, Surgeon Simulator 2013 now takes operating to the next level.

I get the controls being frustrating is the point, and being silly about it is the whole idea, but when the game starts demanding precision from these controls, that's the point I want to start breaking things and the point where I just need to put the game down and get it off my hard drive.

A fun and silly game that I would normally consider a novelty game, but Surgeon Simulator is simply too elaborate and too lengthy to be a simple novelty game. Surgeon Simulator is full of features, to an honestly unnecessary degree, which makes it delightful and surprisingly interesting. There's so much to do and so many hidden goodies in Surgeon Simulator that, if you wanted to, you'd have to play this game for an absurd number of hours if you wanted to truly complete the game.

Overall Score = 7.0/10

Umm, so I have had this game for a few years and haven't played it much. You probably know a bunch of people on youtube who have played it in the past and have gotten mad with the difficult controls, and even if it's the real deal I find that I as well can't even play for 20 seconds without losing my mind. It controls bad (on purpose) and even if you complete the level and for example put the new heart in, it glitches out somethimes for me and the level never ends... you just sit there and do nothing. I have nothing against the people who made the game but I just don't like the game/controls. If you like the game that's fine but I would not have bought it if I would have known any better.

You don't really get paid properly for performing your operations, so a fairly accurate simulation if i'm being honest.

10/10 would kill a patient in 0.5 seconds using a laser and a drill again.

Will It Run?

I have only ever written a review for Steam games that are exceptionally easy to run on almost any computer.
As for myself I can hardly run Minecraft but I have no problem running Surgeon Simulator. Even on max quality settings

Learning Curve

Game just comes with practice but then again it isn't skill based at all. I would compare it to a standard phone game it only gets easier by playing over, and over again.

About The Game

In case you haven't noticed from the game trailer or a video of this games gameplay. It's not anywhere close to being a Surgeon Simulator.
In this game, you have to grab any object around you that looks decently sharp and attempt to tear and rip out your patience organs until you have reached whichever organ you are preforming a transplant on. At that point, if it were a heart transplant for example. You would have to rip out the heart and simply drop a new clean healthy one in its place.
Not saying this game is bad but I to clarify for the few people who think its an actual surgeon simulation.

I'm honestly embarassed to have supported this youtuber-bait garbage.

The base game only has 3 surgeries, but they just make you repeat them over and over with slight variations.

Despite the developers posting about free updates when I bought it in early access, most content is DLC.

Physics are awful, and make the game unfair and frusterating.

Even though I have a very small play time,I can already tell that this game is good,it's a halirious and challanging expirence,there is alot content! Buying this would be a fantastic choice,it's REALLY FUN.

I recommend this to everyone!

Now with the Sale,you can sell stuff that are worth barley 10 cents on the Community Market and get the base game and the Anniversary Edition in a couple of hours!
