Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition coming to Steam!

Hey everyone!

The moment you've been waiting for is finally here! Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition will be coming to Steam! Teeth, eyes, corridor - everything you ever wished for!

Here's the trailer:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35Mo1WvtKD8

The NEW VERSION of the critically acclaimed, BAFTA-nominated, one-handed, clumsy, bumbling, surgery simulation game has now (almost) arrived on Steam! Operate one of would-be surgeon Nigel Burke’s flailing arms, in an attempt to perform life-saving surgery on his peaceful and trusting patient, Bob.

In the super-elite Anniversary Edition, Nigel’s surgical adventures will take him through over 20 operations and across 5 different locations, including the new eye and teeth transplants, corridors, ambulance and space. There are now over 100 achievements for you to collect and admire. Aren’t you lucky?

If you already own the game, you'll just need to buy the DLC pack, and that will upgrade you to the new version with all of the new stuff. We wouldn't make you buy the game again. That would be terrible!

If you have any questions, we'll be in the forums or on Twitter.

Cheers!

The Surgeon Simulator Team

This game is just... hilarious. Trying to figure how you're supposed to do the operations is one part of the equation. Doing it without brutally murdering the patient is the other part. It's going to take a lot of practice (and held laughter) to get through this game.

In Surgeon Simulator 2013 you control Nigel Burke, a guy who can't even tie his shoe laces without making "finger spaghetti" out of himself. Anyway, you control his fingers and thumb using the keyboard, which works well at simulating a hand. The controls can get a little frustrating, however I think that was a little on purpose. Now, most of you are all wondering the same question: Does it have a good story? Yes. It shows a man who poses a lack of hand motor skills and has a dream of becoming a surgeon, the best surgeon, but you are the only one who can fulfil his dream.
The story and game play intertwine nicely and always makes you ask the same question: Was it worth it? As you stare down at the life insurance fee, was it worth it...? That aside, the game has three different types of surgery: Heart Transplant, Kidney Transplant and the Brain Transplant. They all are extremely fun and varied and include funny references, while you Tomahawk Chop someone in the skull. There is also a few secret levels, which I won't tell you about since they are...secret. Just go easy on the heavy (I've given my condolences to enough Team Fortress characters).

In a nutshell, Surgeon Simulator controls well, Has frustratingly-fun levels and even the starting menu provided for several minutes of fun.

NOTE: This is my first review, so I know it isn't that good, however I hope to get better as I write more.

I lost my watch in the patient. Demanded the watch back. Was Denied. Smashed patients face in with hammer.

But in all seriousness, they really need to fix that. I am SICK and TIRED of all of my watches being lost in these patients rib cages. I NEED that to tell me what time it is.

too comical. I did not feel that this was a proper medical grade simulator. Extreamly disapointing. Also, the equipment given is so unethical. I do not beleive the creators of this game have ever stepped in to an operating room. 0/10 would not disect again.

Unfortunately although I really enjoy this game, it's not worth the $10 as it is a game that you see on youtube and it looks funny but then when you play it, it's much less enjoyable and only play it for a few hours then never touch it again. The physics is fun to play around with as well as the controls and the patients face, but it will get boring very quickly.

TL:DR
You'll only play for a max of 5hrs and never touch it again. Although I'm going to score it off of its gameplay. 7.5/10.

The controles are a bit hard but other then that it's ok.
I have nothing against this game but since there's blood and time limits and stuff, it just makes it harder to play.
To be honest, when I first got this game I thought it would be grat. Since I had played the demo online, I thought it would be a nice challenge. I was so wrong. The demo made it look easy but once I started playing the actual thing, I was so annoyed.
It's a great game for people who want a challenge. I'd say it's alright. :)

All aspects of a quality game are hear, even though the controls take a little while to master, you will get the hang of it and enjoy messing around with this game! I have thoroughly enjoyed the game so far, love the difficulty, love the options. Great game! 8.5/10

I would suggest this game to anyone, and I mean ANYONE with half a funny bone in their body (btw, you might have to transplant one in this game XP), this game is just a lot of fun, it is challenging, funny, and each level is unique enough to keep unintersted players going. If you find this game on sale you should buy it, if it is not on sale you should buy it, if the price spikes $50 you should still buy it. It has been a very entertaining game for me (I mostly played it on my friend's computer, I have a total of about 10 play hours with this game)

I give this game a solid 9.5/10

As far as the controls go, this game is broken... as far as the entertainment level, I'd give it an 8 out of 10. The fun of beating someones ribcage out with a hammer like a barbarian or stabbing them with random sharp objects to see just how fast you can make them bleed out is hilarious!
