One of THE best racing games out there.
easy to learn, hard to master. Extremely competitive.
Has a nice social flow to it, Online experience is nice, not a lot of bad people i came across.
The editor is stunning, you can do whatever you want and make whatever you want.
again here, easy to learn, hard to master.
For example, you can make a track and be done. OR, You make a track, give it a nice touch with ellements to dress it up a little.
THEN you make a custom replay with the (Simple to learn hard to master) video editor. you can make custom intros, custom effects in races, custom replays, custom stage cam's and even ambiance.
There is even a interface creator!
You can do all this, Ofcourse, After you painted and dowloaded your own personal vehicle!
truly a game for the real racers and creative ones with us.

This game will yield hours and hours of fun. I shouldn't be so quick to call it a game though; It's more of a sport. There are few controls other than stop, go, turn, and restart, but don't think for a second that there is no room for improvement. The game engine catches every slight turn of the wheel for split second victories or defeats. The community is great too; there are countless custom tracks that refuse to let this game become stale.

WELL worth the price.

I'm writing this review while giggling, because TrackMania² Stadium absolutely is the most competitive but absurd racing game ever! It gives middle finger to all rules that made by other racing game before, and build its own mechanism. You can imagine this is like a qualification session in F1: the track is yours alone, others are ghost, we all try to score the fastest time and the result get displayed when the racing time is due (around 4-5 minutes), winners get podium and some points to raise level, loser stands behind, and we go to the next track. No parts to unlock, no coin to buy, no secret move, no NOS, everybody got the same engine, same car, same speed.

So what makes this game stand out?

There's a lot of wacky track created by a maniac in multiplayer mode. Sometimes it's so absurd that maybe just around 1-2 people able to finish it, the rests are struggling, "Where should I go?! Where should I go?!" There's a lot of fliptable and WTH moments when you accelerate your car very fast and laughing the next second because the track is just disappear into nowhere. Most of the tracks, even absurd, is doable. But it's pretty normal to hear people cursing the track maker because the sensation of getting trolled is high here.

Competitive racer will get satisfaction from scoring the fastest time, while the more casual racer will get fun and hilarious time from able to defeat those absurd tracks. Everybody got their own share of pie, enjoy!

Who played TMN since its releasing (i believe it was in 2007?) will always be addicted to it. I've played that from 2008, and continuously get TMNF and TM2S. Fun as it always was :)

where do i start i use to play tm1 and loved it it was easy simple but this they had to update parts for no reason, some of it is fine like the new slightly underground parts also i love how dark it goes but the otherday i made a track and it worked fine other than the fact it took about and hour to compile shadows but today i go to make a track and before the editor could even load the game crashed evertime so i had to delete the game and restart it also for some reason my server list page keeps changing from the old to the new style and i know this has nothing to do with nadeo but why is every server filled with crap tracks made by 6 year olds, tracks use to be decent and now some ♥♥♥♥♥ decide that there track needs to have extra track when you wont even get close to that peice of track all in all i think people should just go back to tm1 much more reliable than this garbage and before anyone says oh hes just ranting trust i had full intentions of liking this game to the point where i purchased the game before i played the demo.

This game is perfect. The graphics, the map editor, and most importantly the community. If you like technical driving this is the game for you. Every run is different. Hit a wall? Restart. Everything has to be perfect for the best time. Some bugs make the game better and allow for more freedom in mapmaking.

Pros:
Fun driving
great community
great map editor
unique approach to racing game

Cons:
Menus can be a little annoying, do not support controllers.
Weird input bugs that require restart can happen from time to time.
Occasional crashes.

9/10

My most favorite and most played game of all time spending over 2000 hrs on Trackmania Nations, some more thousand on Trackmania United and also on the Forever expansion for both of those games. I have a long history with this game and it will always be in m heart. The developers are cool guys and ive had the honor to meet them on several occations, including their 10 year anniversary at the Ubisoft HQ where we, the invited, played against the developers where we crushed them.

I can't say more about the game itself because I straight up ♥♥♥♥ing love it. Especially the tools. ..and also the gameplay. Trackmania 2 Stadium doesn't do much new other than upgrading the engine, adding a few new block types and upgrading the mediatracker. The single player by Papychampy is probably the best campaing they have made. The gameplay is still the same, (which is good though) but has a constant flow of new maps every day to keep it entertaining. This is the reason why I can still jump into the game and play some maps, 9 years later. Though since the original (and expansion) was free, I have no problem paying for this game.

Sadly the game isnt what it used to be, because a lot of the core community players have fallen off the rails. This game was fun because of the community. People made a lot and was very creative. You could join clans just to have fun, which made me play it for at least 6 hrs a day back in 2006.

My one reccomendation doesnt justify how much this game is to me.

First of all, there are billions upon billions of possible levels.
If that isn't enough for you to buy the game, you should also know that it features lots of speed, wall rides, loops, offroad sections, boosts, massive jumps, and just about everything you can imagine a racing game should have.
It doesn't huge open areas to play around in, altough that can be both good and bad.

Oh, and the skill cap is so high that i can't imagine anyone reaching it within 10 years from now.

EDIT: I also recommend getting a good high quality controller, that is comfortable to use. You will be infinitely more precise with something thats analog than with your keyboard.

A fantastic racing game for casual or even competitive, it is not like say a Need for Speed in the way that the cars are less varied and the laws of physics are more bent. It is very satisfying when you manage to pull off a track pretty well you haven't tried before. The game will have you doing upside down 180s (gravity still applies so you need good momentum) and crazy maneuvers on all kinds of ramps and tracks, from dirt to concrete, ground level to very high in the air. A great game I would reccomend to prety much anyone
