7.1/10 - An RPG Focused on Battles!

This is an interesting twist to the RPG genre; Battles similar to an RPG maker, but with a little more freedom. There is no exploration, just a map view, battles and quests. You can dictated the number of enemies you face and build a team up to (5) players.

The game is ultra-focused on the combat so I did get bored after a few hours. I personally wouldn't pay full price for this game; but on sale it's worth the pick-up.

Worth $4-5 if you enjoy RPG fights!

More of a mixed review here. They really should put a middle option between Thumbs up/down.

I really enjoyed the game. I really easy to feel like in a real AD&D session. Very nice humor too.
Lots of party possiblities and choices of bonuses using the table customization option (after you bought them with gold, off course. It may take a while to grind but it is permanent across games).

I have to say though that the UI doe not make sense (esc quit to menu and the real options screen including save and quit is instead acessible by a button in the location area actions). If you happen to try to bring this menu on a dungeon by pressing esc... surprise! You will be restarting it.
There are also minor bugs as NPCs sometimes taking the wrong amount of items from inventory after a quest handover or when backtracking a dungeon to previous floors, getting stuck on specific locations (having to restart) or a few already visited location turn unvisited by magic.

Oh, no steam cloud either.

Also, for those who got the game before the expansion and bought the expansion when it came out, the is no option to acquire the bonus content of the deluxier edition other than buying the whole thing again. Unaceptable.

There's the outline of a good game here maybe, but they didn't bother to fill in the outline, just plugged in generic filler

Ever want to play to play Dungeons and Dragons but find that people are weird, smelly, gross, and always are taking the good loot, fudging their character sheet, or destroying your carefully planned quest line? Do you enjoy pixel styled graphics? Well the good news is this game has got you covered on most of those points. Go adventure and save some people and the world! All without leaving your house, or inviting people to your house to eat all your food, leave your toliet seat up, digust/impress you with their hygine or lack thereof, or interact with any people at all!

If you enjoy casual gaming, fantasy gaming, ever watched the D&D cartoon when you were a kid, ever played a tabletop book and dice RPG, or played any of the similar console or PC based titles and enjoyed them. Then there is likely no way you will not enjoy this game immensly.
