Bug Fixes
Resolving:

Aura Heal post level 4 heals only 1 HP of the others party members instead of the correct physical attack percentage
Sell a bound item, obtain an unbound version, buy back the bound ones and all become unbound
Quest List resets when you change map
When an unbound card is accidentally stacked together with a bound card, both of the cards will become bound
Players lose equipped cards if they replace a card on top of it. They used to go to their bags, now they are deleted.
Bind on Equip cards will be bound to player in their inventory if they acquire two or more and they stack.

Take it a step further at level 10, and try your hand at the coliseum for five stages of brutal battle! I've never experienced another MMO with this many bugs.

First, in order to log in with Steam there is a separate launcher from the game. This only works half the time and there is no way to manually log in. After every update it stops working or sometimes it just stops working for no apparent reason. Second, quests are bugged. I've had a main storyline quest just break with no way to recover it and no other quests available, effectively making the entire character useless. Google revealed that there are several quests in particular that have been broken for years without anyone working on them. Third, the prices for items are different depending if you are on the Warp Portal website or if you're on Steam. The best deals are on their site. Also, some items expire after a couple of days (which is bad if you can't log in half of the time.)

The game has been doctored so that Warp Portal can make more money. In the original Korean servers, there are quite a few Tiger mounts that you could purchase for in game money. All of these have been removed and put in a cash shop were you have a CHANCE at getting them permamently in a box. (There is only one mount available that does not require real money.) Costumes are not permament either. Most costumes expire after 30 days and you need to buy extenders to keep it. Both these items cost real money. If you want a permament costume the only way to get it is by more chance items, or by getting a lot of rare stones to play a pyramid game (which has an extrememly low chance of getting an item.) Inventory / Bank space is severely limited. Only 'medium' bags are dropped / purchasable which hardly have any slots. You will get these at level 10. If you want actual space, you need to buy bags from the cash shop. RO2 may not be a 'pay to win' but it sure is a 'pay to do anything fun' sort of game. Server population is pretty low. No one seems to be socializing. In fact, all the social interaction I had was a creepy guy hitting on me. So, if you play MMOs in hopes of finding some new buddies to talk too, you won't find them here.

If you insist on plaything this game, do not do it through Steam. Go to the site itself, or better yet find another company / private server. Warp portal is not doing a good job integrating RO2 with Steam. If the game actually worked as intended I might suggest it for someone looking for a casual game to play with friends (if you don't mind old school rpg grinding) but since Warp portal provides such a terrible service, I suggest trying one of Aeria Games' anime MMOs instead. They have a cash shop too, but they are more fair about what they give you.

Overall RO2 is a HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT and I am not saying this because it is different from the first game. I am saying this because of the bugs, Warp portal's poor choice of business model and all the issues I've been having. I've played a ton of f2p mmos and none have quite been this bad. You have been warned!

I would totally skip this game... it has somewhat the nostalgia factor if you played the first ragnarok but it has nothing to offer beyond that... there are several better games (and with a better comunity) than this.

The GM promised us capes for an guild event - never delievered,
not only that - they actually handed out free Egg DNA pieces to their friends,
there was a lot of proof on the forum,
many ppl quit,
too many bug,
not balanced,
P2W

Would not recommend

I was hoping that its gameplay would be like the first Ragnarok Online but just in a full 3D environment. But the game is almost unregonizable from the original Ragnarok anymore except for some familliar places. The game became more restrictive and doesnt have the openess of the old one. The visuals are subpar from its contemporaries and its gameplay is seems to be very common with other Korean Online games. The early game bosses doesnt offer that much challenge as the bosses from old RO. Although the inclusion of raids is good, that is also the only place where you can get an actual challenge because this game is too easy. All in all, I do not suggest this game to old RO players and I discourage players new to RO to try this one because you will be dissapointed.

A fun and colourful game with some interesting classes and enjoyable zones. End game is horrible, grindy and boring.

Just feels like a grind near the start of the game to actually get anything. Mostly generic quests like go find item A or kill x number of mobs. Graphics and design isnt that bad but overall for me I dislike it.

Don't play RO2 with RO1 in mind, you'll be disappointed. Even though there are some nostalgic features from the original one, RO2 is a common MMORPG, it is another generic MMO, with boring quests and stuff. Play it if you'd like to play a regular MMO with cute creatures in it.

*The animation clips are cool, I'd support the animation series
*Let's hope Tree of Savior is good :]

I'm probably - no, definitely - biased when it comes to my feelings on this game. I had been waiting for it's release for years since I was an avid fan of the original. RO II isn't terrible but it isn't RO and does not really give me the happy feelings of nostalgia I was hoping for. The original release of this game back on the original engine they had, looked and felt much more like RO than this version. So, basically, if you want a cute (and free) MMORPG to play give it a shot but don't bother if you're coming for the RO nostalgia feels. Also, I couldn't play it via Steam because I had done the early registration via the website.

I was once a knight on Ragnarok 2 known as Shoryuuken, the guild leader of Titan. This game used to be fun and I used to play it with my girlfriend (Priest). Then they decided to change everything from stats to equipment balancing. I've put a ton of hours into this game and it was probably one of the funnest experiences prior to the big patch, but I just can't continue with the amount of grinding now required to play the game.

At I enjoyed this, real fun with friends, but after playing it for a while I noticed it was very repetitive. There was no unique feature to any quest, was all the same BS over and over. Not really anything different in this from other mediocore mmorpg games, the fact you can set up your own "shop" and sell the stuff you make to people was pretty cool experience for me in this game. I played this for a bit longer even though I was bored just to see if there'd be anything cool to keep me playing. Being in a guild gave me something to actually do other than do those tedious "Kill X amount of..." and "Deliver to.../Talk to..." quesys which never develop in to anything great.

Maybe if you're a newbie when it comes to mmorpg games then you could play this to learn the basics like preforming party roles, how to use stats & skill points for the highest benefit and such.

I can't say it is a good game, and it if you see my time on the game I don't have much time on it. The reason is, I can't even get in the game and it is not just my problem. It seems this game is not friendly to WIndows 8 and 8.1, especially 8.1. I found this ia a heavy problem over 2 years on the Warpportal Forums, still asking why this happens, and if they could fix it, yet the only reply to those were change the capatability mode that doesn't even exist.

If you have a Windows 8 or 8.1. Don't try playing the game. It will just not work. (windoews 8 probaby has atleast 20 minutes of gameplay beffore it kicks you, and 8.1 will kick you as you start the game) If you are on a Window 7 try if out if you want, a F2P game, has no drawbacks like P2P games.

Don't get fooled by my (nonexistent) playtime:

I've played the original Ragnarok Online for more than 13 years,
And I can say confidently: Ragnarok Online 2 doesn't even compare.

-1/10 Wouldn't spend time nor money on it.

To most Ragnarok 1 players of course they won't initially like it because it did not stick with the original, I was a former player of Ragnarok 1. But I adapted and fell in love with this game, not bad for me, no overcrowding of merchants on prontera, no deadbranch abuse on low level places, the graphics still give the Rune-Midgard feel, I like the questing system. This is a game worth trying honestly, even though it is bashed I think it is on it's early stages, there is still room for more cool updates. Plus, weapons and armor are cool. More power to Ragnarok 2. I hope more people and former Ragnarok players adapt on this game : )

First of all, this is a whole new game. Treat it as such. Get RO1 out of your system.
If you're still too stubborn to get RO1 out of your shnoozle, then don't play this game. Period!

For those open minded players, keep on reading!

Here's my opinion for those who are looking to play this game.

PROS:
-Decent character design
-Diversified Classes and Subclasses(you'll see once you've played it)
-Interesting Storyline
-Interesting In-game features/events( Dungeons, Raids, Rankings, Honing, Pet summons etc.)
-Costume availability (you can look different and be different)

CONS:
-Stale and repetitive quests (too much kill a number of these, gather a number of that, talk to this blah blah)
-Boring (when played alone)
-Not much diversity in builds( stats are based on your equips in master level/ same equips = same stats)
-Some skills in some professions are not worth getting causing a generic build in skills

I recommend playing this game with friends. It's really boring to play alone after you've reached master level(based on my experience). Don't get me wrong, I had fun playing this alone, up to a certain point. The storyline is good IMO, the characters are quite lovable, and the graphics are not that bad either. I suggest you give this game a try. Altogether I'll give this game 7/10.
