About This Content

War of the Roses: Kingmaker is a team based third person action game set in 15th century England. Two rival branches of the Royal House of Plantagenet - the house of Lancaster (the reds) and the house of York (the whites) – fight over the throne, and the player is thrown into the fray.

War of the Roses: Kingmaker arms players with a wide variety of arsenal and armor from the Knights Hospitaller, Gallowglass Mercenary, Winter Has Arrived, and Outside the Law updates. Three new maps and two additional gameplay modes, including the Assault Mode released specifically for this version of the multiplayer action title are also included. War of the Roses: Kingmaker will separate the nobles from the rabble and put knights on the fast-track to glory, ready to fight and die for York or Lancaster – and go down in history as true heroes.

Note that I will still continue to play this game only because:

- I know the game mechanics
- I do not get owned 1 hit by rank 60 people with peasant weapons
- I don't care when people trashtalk me
- I find it fun 1 hitting people
- Fun for me

First of all, this is a very fun game with lots of potential but people would rather trashtalk you when you win once and start flaming you, which makes this game's community really toxic. Infact, you will end up in a bad mood.

Mentioning the community, it is the most toxic community I have seen. From rank 60's down to the lowest, it does not make sense. They have the most illogical reasons ever, mentioning that they use swear words down to words that are made to make you angry. The swearing vocabulary is to be sick of. They can not speak with a decent grammar, but when they are angry they suddenly get the perfect swearing grammar. It is pretty fascinating actually, but really sickening also.

I will list the non-swear-words-vocabulary of this community:

- Hi
- Lol
- gf

And now I will list the ''toxic'' words:

- ♥♥♥♥
- ♥♥♥♥
- Noob
- ♥♥♥♥♥
- ♥♥♥♥
- ♥♥♥♥♥
- Kid
- Owned
- ♥♥♥
- ♥♥♥♥♥♥n00b
- l0lnoob
- usuck
- Learn to Play
- LOL U EXE'D ME UR GONNA DIE NOW U LIL ♥♥♥♥♥
- DID U JUST EXE ME?
- LOL EXED U NOOB
- duel me u ♥♥♥
- GALLOSPAMMER NOOB
- LOL GALLO?

Do you see the difference? That's right.

Now let's talk about the duel servers, as they are a big part of the game and most players play on some kind of duel server. The admins are total crap, like TOTAL crap. Too many people agree on the admin part, they should do something about it.

Back to the toxic part (duel). 80% of the toxicity comes from the duel servers, once you beat them with some kind of weapon they are going full sparta about it. I think that comes from people being angry, like in the words of; they are sore losers.

Mentioning again; I still love this game by some reason and I love playing it even though the community is toxic.

It is a great game but definetely not worth 20 dollars, maybe 10, anyway, this game is a medieval 3rd person multiplayer game developed by Fatshark and produced by Paradox, here, lets start with the pros: decent graphics, addicting, MANNY items to buy with ingame cash, people still play it, pretty historically accurate, now heres some cons: it can be veryyy buggy, there are pathetic weapons that are extremely op such as the pitchfork, i swear, the pitchfork one hits people in heavy armor, the games creators abandoned the game meaning there are no more updates or anything, people hack alot, anti cheat sucks, this game is kinda a paytoplay game. Otherwise, this game could use alot of work, my review is maybe a 5 out of 10. Anyway, if you really want this game, your gonna have to dig deep in the game and see what its like. Hope my review helped!

This game is great, but the community is about as pleasant as a room full of ritalin-addicted toddlers on a massive sugar-high.

Medieval combat with a ferociously steep learning curve; 'War of the Roses: Kingmaker' brings a similar game-style to Mount & Blade while vastly improving on what was a grand template already.

Pitching yourself in battle, there's a huge amount of authenticity and splendor you get while charging through a field with around 25 other players around you. With many weapon choices, each one unique and different to handle, there's plenty within the game to enjoy. Strikes feel viscious and you genuinely feel as if it's your mouse alone making the cuts of your enemy run deep.

In comparison to the more arcade-feel of 'Chivalry: Medieval Warfare', War of the Roses is a realistic battle-simulator, however, that being said: it's definitely a game and by all means it's completely awesome.
