After finally giving this a decent go, I have to say I can't really recommend it.
The cycle of training/nightlife/gameday gets fairly repetitive, and although at first it's kind of amusing shuffling your players from venue to venue to make sure they have their needs satisfied without getting hopelessly addicted to anything, and the training facility and nightspot unlocks help the variety a bit, it becomes much of a muchness after about a season of this. And the controls for when you play the actual matches are janky, to say the least.
Obviously if you're after a proper football management game, well, you're already playing Football Manager, aren't you? The spin on this was to give it a bit of a Sims feel, but there's not really enough of that. You never really feel it's John Terry running around with his philandering.
