“As a small team, ‘Dream’ is our first game and so we have a lot to learn! One of the best ways to make sure we’re on track is to get community feedback as we go along. This also helps us focus our time on the features that our audience most wants.”

“Being on Early Access allows the community to help refine the game all the way to final release.
Upon completion, ‘Dream’ will have a rich story throughout the games levels in multiple languages and released alongside the Oculus Rift version to offer deeper immersion at no extra cost.

Mechanics and features for ‘Dream’ will be added, altered and refined for the full version after being tried out and tweaked in Early Access. Some of these include a more comprehensive and easy to use Inventory System, Collectibles to find which offer story and rewards, Options expanded with more intuitive menus and In-Game items which help aid with exploration and game optimisations.

While these are already somewhat available in the Early Access version they only represents a small part. The story serves as a placeholder in order to give a general idea without spoilers and give players some context in order to voice their opinions in shaping the game”

Dream Update


Just to let you know were in the final stages of testing the main Act III dream so the update should be with you within the next few weeks.

Again apologies for the delay, we’re a small team and lots of things are happening right now and it is pretty crazy! We couldn’t do this without you and the support both before and on Early Access so far has been great :D

Oculus DK2

Quite a few of you (including myself) have been asking where the Oculus update is. Well the harsh truth is that we can’t do anything until Oculus/Epic release the new version of the engine. The rift prototype of Dream right now is around 6 months old and doesn’t include the defining elements of Dream we have now, such as the look at system, intractable, levels and that much needed player mesh for VR.

It’s quite a shame it’s taking a while, all focus seems to be on the new UE4 engine which is unfortunate as a lot of devs started a big project in UDK before UE4 was announced.

Dream - Development Update

So whilst we are not too far away from an update for Dream we thought it would be nice to post an announcement explaining to you all where we are right now on the process of finishing Dream and what we are all currently working on.

As some of you may know, there are only 4 of us developing Dream so we apologize for wait between content updates. With this being said however we are not far away from moving from Alpha to Beta stages. Once all main dreams are created and in your hands we will then be moving to Beta, which will involve the final stages of development such as Tweaking Menus, Improving Mechanics, UI overhauls, Level Populating, Endings, Story Implementation, Localisation, QA and Stability Improvements and just generally other bits and bobs that would take some time to list.

So, here are the main chunks that is left to do of the alpha build:

  • Act III + Nightmare
  • Collectables
  • Act II side dream to push out
  • Hub World “feature”
  • Key Bindings
  • Checking the games ‘Flow’

And here is what the “Dream Team” is working on right now. It’s important to stress that while we have listed the main things on our to-do list, we also tinker in other areas such as Design, Story and just generally collaborating:

Ash - Technical Babble [ Key Bindings - Scripts - Character Animations & Logic - Collectables! ]
Lewis - Arty Farty Things [ Act III Effects, Models, World & Secret things ]
Sam - Master Planner [ Bug Fixes, Act III Puzzle’s ]
Gary - 3D - [ Populating Act III and The remaining side Dream for Act II ]

And the top priority beta jobs:
  • Items and Inventory UI ( better flowing inventory )
  • Mech improvements ( E.g Look at system )
  • More and final options (Such as toggle player mesh, resolution and fixed menus)
  • Story implementation
  • Level tweaking and populating
  • Localisation
  • Backstage tweaks (Implementing hidden tracking features etc)
  • Engine Upgrade (Performance and stability improvements)
  • Oculus Update

While these are listed there are still a lot of things that will be added/removed/changed and overall just improved based on your feedback and development progression.

Thanks for your support and patience, hopefully the next update will be both Keybindings and Collectables. I’m still tinkering with Key Bindings ( More here ) and the basic implementation is there but the Aesthetics & “UI Friendliness” are not. I know this is a very important feature for all of you so it might be pushed out as is and then improved in Beta; we’re still discussing this but please, what do you guys think!?

Dream is an adventure game with a focus on narrative and exploration. Play as Howard Phillips, a young man whose waking hours are filled with feelings of dread and despair, but whose dreams are clear, lucid and powerful. Do these dreams hold the key to Howard's future? Journey through the subconscious mind in a quest for self-awareness and truth.





Dream is currently in Early Access and is still a few months away from being completed, you can expect the following if you get the game now.

  • Two of the three main Acts in the game are available; a total of five dreams to explore.
  • A Nightmare for each Act so far released.
  • Oculus Rift support for all current content.
  • The game is currently PC-only and English-only.





Unique Interact-able 3D Environments
Every environment in the game is lovingly hand-crafted by our close-knit team of four and with no worldly restrictions to the environments we can have a vast range of aesthetics and puzzles.

Non-linear Narrative and Gameplay
You are free to explore dream environments where puzzles can be completed in different orders and the story progresses according to your choices. The paths you choose affect which dreams you experience and how the finale plays out.

Collectables, Items and Secrets
Each dream is filled with secrets and collectables that help the player progress and contribute to the story.

Soundtrack
Dream features an original soundtrack by composer Norman Legies.

Oculus Rift Support
Transform how you experience the game through the use of the Oculus Rift.

何度かアップデートされ、かなり内容が充実してきたのでもう一度感想とか書きます

このDreamというゲームは文字通り夢の中を彷徨うゲームです
夢ならではの狂気と混沌に満ちた世界、夢だからこその美しい情景
そしてそのゲームプレイを邪魔せず、盛り上げるBGMや独自など、かなりしっかりと作られています
肝心の謎解きは難しすぎず、簡単すぎず、丁度良いバランス
世界観に合った趣向を凝らされた謎解きはあなたを楽しませてくれるでしょう
また、美しい夢だけでは無く、悪夢や現実がだんだんと夢の世界のようになっていくステージなど、一筋縄では行きません
現実世界に置いてあるモノが夢の中に反映されたり、夢の中のオブジェクトが凝っていたり、思わずニヤける展開もあります

あなたが探索ゲーを求めるのであれば、このゲームは間違いなく期待に応えてくれるでしょう。

追記 このゲームが夢に出てくる場合もありますが、人体に害はありません。安心して夢の中を彷徨ってください。

First of all i need to tell averyone that i bought this game last year with only one place to go and now a days, Dream is one of my favourites games in my Steam Library. I got it with the discount on it, but i can say that if you pay for the original price, you'll be REALLY happy.

This game conteins things that i cannot explain, things that fits perfect like the combination of place - music. I'm a music student in the university and i can say that the "Dream OST" is SO GOOD that im actually learning it on piano.

I feel very comfortable with the game in all the aspects, and i like that thing of making us collect pieces of paper that contains information about the meaning of these objects or things that we all have in our dreams.

¿What about the nightmares? You'll see how much you can sweat with a good enviroment and the correct sounds in the perfect time.

For me, this game it worth what it cost, and i give Dream 4.5 Stars out of 5. Why? Because it's still on Alpha, maybe then i could give this game 5 stars when alpha finishes.

Thanks to the Devs for such a good experience :)

I enjoy this game alot, sadly being so paranoid i didnt expect it to have such a high horror aspect and so i cant play much of it without freaking out. Anyone looking for a puzzle / horror game this is the right place, narration is great and the environment will make you feel the game when playing it, worth the pickup

A very different kind of game, one that may not be for everyone. Though I enjoy this very much, and it clearly has a lot to tell, especially if you are the kind of person that enjoys atmospheric, beautiful games. You'll be in for a very twisted fun journey with this one.

タイトル通り、夢の中の世界を探検するゲームです。
現実のような世界もあれば、全くの幻想的な世界もありーので、考えてみれば中々こういうゲーム無かったなぁって感じがします。
ドキッとする仕掛けもチラホラありましたが、まぁ死の概念は無いので気にせずにプレイ出来ちゃいますw
あとトレイラーでもちょっとありますが、「悪夢」というのもよく考えたな~とプレイしてて思いました。夢の中だから出来ることですよね!
ただ、ちょっとそこでバグが発生しますけども・・・(修正に期待)
まだ早期アクセスということで、1ステージとちょっとぐらいしか遊べないので今後に期待したいです。

---2月21日追記---
先日Act2のアップデートありました。ようやく続きが出来ますよ!
トレーラー等、動画でよく見る砂漠とは全く別のステージが舞台でした。今回は現実寄りな感じがします。
とはいっても、やはりそこは「Dream」というだけあって、現実では有り得ないようなところもあったりと今回も探索してて楽しかったです。ステージの最後にはちょっと狂気を感じる部分もあったりなかったり・・・(?)
あと前回の悪夢のところのバグが解消されたようです。これでちゃんと出来ますね!
