Hmm..1 of nice planes games. Not bad game play, much nice camouflages and nice plane models. But story..Russia - enemy, after mission - Russia friend at war vs Russia :D Or at one mission I have to save my slave, but the fact that the slave should be behind me, but he front. Anyone who flies in front - the leading and rear - slave :) And i got for select few planes: few USA and few old from USSR :D So, i must at suck planes kill Russian Ac and nice plane Su-35 or Su-37 :D I don't remember :3

So, that game pretty good :3

If you want a flighty sim then avoid this one. You have too many weapons, your wingmen seem to be there just to give radio chatter and get6 in the way and you seem to be able to fly through falling ironwork without worrying about it. I reall don't see what others see in this game.

This is the worst combat flight simulator that I've ever played. They might as well have named it Ace Combat: Lets Fly in Circles Around Eachother FOREVER.

I didn't expect much from this game but it still managed to disappoint me utterly. I don't even know where to start.
The gameplay is horrible. You basically have 3 ways of destroying the opponent and none of them is fulfilling in the long run. You either press B (on an XBOX controller) to shoot a rocket when the square mark on your opponent turns red and hope it hits. It usually doesn't so then you enter the dogfight mode. This means pressing RB+LB which puts you just right behind your opponent and then you again have to wait for a circle mark to become red and press B to fire missiles. Sometimes when you're in the dogfight mode a script activates and you can see a cam shot of your opponent exploding, which gets boring really fast. The last way to kill an opponent is to do a turn around on him when he tries to rocket you from behind. In that instance you wait for two arrows to cover each other and- guess what- press RB+LB to appear behind the enemy in the dogfight mode again. The whole game is basically a big, repetetive, boring QTE event.
Flying itself is really disappointing. It feels nothing like a plane and every plane model flies exactly the same, despite different stats. The controls are unprecise. Also, I have to mention the camera work- it's just atrocious. The FOV is way too low which makes you see nothing apart from your own machine and after some time spent in the dogfight mode I started feeling dizzy.
You can also fly helicopters- don't get too pumped, though. It comes down to pressing LT when your crosshair is set on a land target and then pressing RT to shoot it- the end. It also induces the most camera problems- cockpit view is the only way to play (it's an opposite story with planes- the cockpit view is utterly useless).
The story is forgettable (blah blah Russians blah blah betrayal blah blah Murica).
Initially I wanted to praise the soundtrack but it becomes repetetive fairly quickly, especially that it plays one chosen track during each mission and hearing it over and over again during missions that can last over 30 minutes makes you sick pretty fast. I'd also like to mention this game features the worst French accent in the history of gaming but it's not a big deal- the voice acting is decent overall.
I'm also under impression that the game tries to artificially prolong your gametime, usually by excessive time pressure, at least in higher levels of difficulty.
Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy this game for more than initial 30 minutes- and I've raged through my playtime all the way. It's cheap but I wouldn't recommend buying it. Heck, I wouldn't even recommend playing it for free.
If you're looking for a pleasant, semi-challenging game featuring planes (including jets) try War Thunder. It's free and it doesn't try to be something it shouldn't be.

A good air "Modern Warfare" version game. (Note: I play this game using keyboard & mouse, if you use controller/stick, your opinion/review MAY be different)

Pro :
-DFM/ASM are really helpfull if you NOT play this game with a controller/stick (For aircraft)

-DLCs are included (CFA-44, ASF-X, F-4, and color scheme for other planes and helicopters)

-Customable color for all planes/choppers (Including the DLCs)

-A lot unlockables (Not mention the DLCs, aircrafts, and choppers, though)

-Unboring mission/campaign

Cons :
-Play this game with "Original" control type for aircrfat, it little bit hard if you NOT use controller/stick, especially when use ASM/DFM. While "Optium" is grant more "advantage" to DFM/ASM, it's make original feeling of previous Ace Combat is fading

-Customable color name can't be changed

-Skills making more easier for me (But, its helpfull when play on Hard or Ace difficulty)

-(For myself) Lack of the "Legendary" Aircraft form previous AC's series (Ex: ADF-01 FALKEN, ADFX-01/02 MORGAN)

Overall, it's a good game to me. Bring me to memories when i play previous Ace Combat series, altough lack of Falken and Morgan, though

10.5 of 10

This a funny game. Don't expect realistic flight physics, but an entertaining arcade dog fighting game.
It perfectly fits in the Ace Combat patern, a lone plance/helo against tons of poor bastrad you'll gun down (with style !)

As a person that has played all the ace combat games i find this game a big let down, the story is very uninspired all the characters are plain and boring. Dog fight mode is forced down your throat, most enemys in the game can only be taken down in it some of them is even scripted were you unload hundreds of bullets and missiles in to a bullet spunge air craft till its over. one other thing for some strange reason they decided not to show you what the Jets look like when you go to choose before a story mode mission with is diffrent from all previous ace combat games.

I Love Ace Combat Series, it's perfectly made-well.
but maybe it's little bit different from the other series.

Overall it's good.
The game is boring, repetitive, and kinda disappointing.
BUT the STORY is good enough to note.
maybe the good point in this game that
it has story in it, too bad is not the same "world" with other
ace combat series

Hardcore fans like us are disappointed, DFM is a terrible thing implimented, and scripted single player is bleh, with multiplayer being extremely random as well, it does warrent a try. Beautiful visuals, 60 FPS is nice, Project Aces attempt at something new didn't go well as planned.

Not a bad game! Exciting at many points, but the action can be stale at certain points. My absolute favorite feature in this game is that Ace Combat takes a new approach on aerial combat; not just from airplanes, but now from helicopters, bombers, and helicopter door-gunners for example. DFM or "Dog Fight Mode" is a new innovative feature never used before in aerial combat games: when you engage DFM you and another plane are fighting in close quarter combat. If the opponent is able to decelerate enough, they can pul of a pretty awesome cinematic counter which puts them in the attacking position adding to a new fun and more fair way of fighting in single and multiplayer. Interesting campaign, nice variation of planes, and exciting levels to explore.

An action flight simulator to the end, AC: AH offers all the Bay-esque action you expect.
If you are looking for explosions, frantic radio messages, obvious betrayals and machismo, look no further.
If the thought of a hard mission or two, of non-realistic flight behaviour or a bland story puts you off, stay away.
