I've been playing for about 2 hours and I can say...
This game....has a long way to go.
This is an alpha release, so expectations for it are lower.
I find that the survival is adaquately challenging. Under the sea has simple but functional mechanics. With elements such as a wound festering if left untreated was a pleasant surprise to me. However, healing yourself can be frustrating due to there only being one method to do so.
Another challenge to your life, is thirst, which generates randomly and quickly. This seems unneccessary but not unbearable later in the game
A large mechanic of the game and deserves its own statement. Last update put recipes on menu for easy reference and that got me to play again. There are many recipes and potential progress through them. This makes the game
I find that my windows laptop, which will run skyrim on basic settings with ease, hates this game on anything other than the lowest graphics. Therefore, while I've read it looks great, I can't say anything about it really. The smooth transisitions are nice but my computer takes a hit. On lower graphics the blur on everything makes crafting and reading annoying to say the least.
Music is lovely! I wish I could hear it when half of the time the island is in the middle of a storm.
I RECOMMEND THIS GAME, later. For now its okay to kill some time but until the major update not worth 9.99
