No Time To Explain at EGX London! Plus updates.

The latest version of No Time To Explain's upcoming remake will be playable at EGX London this weekend in the Rezzed area!

Stop by, say hi, play the game :)

Controller support!

It will be controller-enabled and gives you an idea of how we want all versions to control. Putting it simply, you control it with just the dual-sticks.

Left stick to run around. Click to jump.

Right stick to beam yourself around. Click to use shotgun guy's/alternate guys' abilities.

Reworked visuals!

The game has some reworked visuals. It took some effort to transform everything from Flash to Unity, but we're nearly there.

Things like the crab boss fight having physics-enabled flame bombs, lots of snow particles, really nice fog particles in the spaceship levels.

The game also runs at a solid.... 250fps? At least on my machine.

Reworked soundtrack

MrFuby has been busy reworking the soundtrack and came up with some insanely good songs. Some are completely original, some are remastered versions of previous songs.

Current status of the game

- As of right now, all standard levels are done. Standard levels are the ones with the "normal" beam guy character.

- Shotgun guy levels are done.

- 1st boss (Crab fight) is done

- 2nd boss (Shark) is done

Everything up until the 2nd boss is demo'd at EGX.

We still need to do all the other bosses, the special characters, the two scripted levels (flight and runner). The good news is that the engine is now done, and it even supports multiplayer.

See you at EGX!

At this point it's not worth buying. It's incredibly laggy to the point where it's too frustrating and cumbersome to enjoy what humour and creativity the rest of the game supposedly offers. When they come out with the rerelease later this year (entitled "No More Time To Explain") then it may be worth a look.

This game is an absolute mess, incredibly buggy, severe lag and the developer's solution, wait for the remake.

The games crashes, gets stuck on the pause menu, you click 'unpause' twenty times and the game will still be on the pause screen.

The options menu is god awful, resolution is pictured as - and +. The game also forgets your settings for the game and reverts itself back to default, honestly this was stuff sorted out in the 90's.

The only thing they did right with this game is the peculiar story and the option to turn the incredibly annoying screaming guy off.

Wouldn't recommend, don't buy even in a sale.

A sobering reminder of darker times where doing anything in Flash was considered acceptable, and why it can't finally disappear soon enough. An actually playable remake seems to be on the works, so if you're curious, wait for that instead.

A very simple platformer that is easy to learn but hard to master.
The only goal is to kill the boss at the end of the stage! Spoiler: and then eventualy your evil self that you accidently free

And plus theres amazing voice acting. Especialy with the person that screams at you through out the game.

Extremely laggy, makes all most impossible to play and destroys any enjoyment. Comedy aspect isn't great either, just some guy screaming about how much pain he's in. Gameplay is confusing and uncomfortable, but can't complain too much as this may just be personal preferance. Paid 99p for this and regret it

A newgrounds flash game that managed to somehow get on to steam (Oh wait everyone can these days).

This is one of the most insulting games I have seen. A game with so little content, so many bugs, and such horrible design that dares to charge to play it.

There is no life system which means all of the dangers in the levels mean nothing. You simply restart the stage (Each stage takes about 1-2 minutes) or if its a boss fight you will be unable to shoot for like 2 seconds.

The puzzles are pretty much 'find your way to the end' type mazes. Nothing here will challenge you.

The humour is alright I guess but couldn't get more than a short exhale of breath in amusment once or twice.

The soundtrack is actually good and about the only thing I liked about the game.

To top it all off it is VERY short at 2 hours.

There is no controller support which would have done the game wonders especially considering the game DOES NOT LOCK THE DAMN MOUSE. What this means if you have more than a single screen is you will constantly get alt tabbed out of the game which doesnt pause and have to alt tab back in. The resolution option is a simple + or - and doesnt actually tell you what resolution you are picking.

This is ♥♥♥♥ing rediculous and should be ran out of town in the same vain as the free to play dungeon keeper title EA released.

Do not buy this game. Even at $1 its to much. This sould be a free flash game on newgrounds that a student did for his final project.
