About the Game

What Happened to the Humans?

Set in a post-apocalyptic world strewn with cast-off machines, Primordia tells the story of Horatio Nullbuilt, a stoic robot who values his solitude and independence. Horatio spends his days studying the Book of Man, sparring with his droid companion Crispin, and tinkering with the airship they call home — a peaceful existence that becomes threatened when a rogue robot steals the energy source that the pair needs to survive.

When Horatio and Crispin’s search for energy brings them to the dazzling city of Metropol, the simple quest to recover their stolen power core leads to unexpected discoveries about Horatio’s origins and a new understanding of the legendary humans who walked the earth before him.

Primordia is a point and click adventure where you start off as Horatio, a robot that desperately tries to get back his power source, along with his faithful sidekick. You inevitably end up in Metropol, the city of light, where you discover its history and remember your past. Personally, I find the story more interesting than anything wadget eye has had to offer so far (better than the blackwell series and gemini rue imho) and it is the main reason I recommend this game.

+ Interesting dialogues and story
+ Funny sidekick
+ Graphic style is old but pretty
+ Multiple endings

- Humor can be a bit silly at times
- Low resolution

A beautifully pixel-rendered adventure game with a surprisingly deep and almost haunting plot that leaves you pondering well after completion. Players will experience nostalgia as they are transported back to the glory days of point and click adventure games with Primordia's art style, environments, atmosphere, script, voice acting, music, and puzzles. Additionally, the ingenious inclusion of multiple endings and Steam achievements create replay value (seldom seen in this genre) and the main character (Horatio) is wonderfully voiced by none other than Bastion's Logan Cunningham.

I highly recommend this game to any and all adventure game fans.

Good story. Enjoyable. Play it. That is all.

Seriously, I understand the main character, I know when someone steals my things I go to a distant city, solve the riddles of my own creation and blow stuff up.
