About This Content

[p]The shadow of the mighty Galactus approaches Earth! His herald, the Silver Surfer, has discovered our lush planet and called the ruler of the Power Cosmic, who is already on his way. A menace to the entire galaxy, Galactus wants to consume the Earth by converting it into pure energy. Only the Fantastic Four can face this challenge, as only they have enough power to obtain the Ultimate Nullifier and with it coerce the ruler of the Power Cosmic to depart. But before the Fantastic Four can meet with Galactus, they have to deal with Doctor Doom and his Doombots, invading Skrulls, and much more.

I agree with the positiv reviews, and especially the playability ofthe table. My all-time high is on this table here. Only one complaint; Grim DOES affect the ball's trajectory when he stops on the table, and I've lost more than one ball when he does that to the left gutter. :/ That seems like a design flaw to me. Jus' sayin'. LOL

WARNING: Since May 12, 2015 you can't play this anymore without accepting a disgusting EULA which essentially changes this into spyware. They even did it after the fact to anyone who bought it when there was no EULA at all (which is illegal at least in Europe). They promised a solution, but never gave one, even after four months have passed now.

This is one of the best tables that Zen makes, and as an added benefit it's also great for new players of video pinball.

Theme - This table is based on the comics, not on any of the movies. It manages to 'get' the fun factor of the Fantastic Four in a way none of the movies seem to get. It's fun smashing Doombots with the Thing, and it's fun watching Mr. Fantastic reach out and grab balls off the table. The color scheme and artwork are not the most beautiful, but they work extremely well for being able to keep track of where the ball is and where you need to shoot for.

Mechanics - This game has good flow without the table being overly fast. The ramps and other shots are generally easy to hit. The modes are more challenging. This combination makes it a very very good table for beginners and experienced players alike. The ball-saver being activated by hitting slingshots is unique and gives a fun graphical flair. Scoring is moderate.

Definitely one of the best tables for Pinball FX2 at the moment. The table isn't crowded, special events aren't ridiculously impossbile to complete, and the ball rarely does wonky physics stuff like on some of the other tables for this game. Overall, it's a very fun table to play, unlike other ones I have tried.

If you can only afford a few tables for Pinball FX2, this should be at the top of your list. I also highly recommend the MARs one as well.
