Zen Studios did a great favor to all the digital pinball enthusiasts - they didn't go for a simulation.
Let me explain it before I get back in the game. You can always try to be more realistic, more physics-respecting, more simulating game. And you will probably fail miserably because there's a sweet magic of analogue mechanisms of pinball machines no computer will be able to understand and process... EVER.
BUT... if you take a concept of pinball game which says 'keep that ball up for as long as possible and score as many points as you possibly can', slap it on crazy fun tables with various themes and make playing digital pinball FUN thing to do, either solo or with friends - yes, you will be coming back for one more and yes, you will never stop.
So, thank you, Zen Studios for nothing making Pinball FX2 mediocre simulation pinball game, but a super fun arcade pinball game.
