Warning! The converter (as of 11/13/14) does not work with the latest CK2/EU4 releases. Don't buy until you can confirm that it is working.

Do not buy! This does not work anymore. It should be a crime to sell this product!

You cannot use your monarch points to skill up your idea's. The game will take your 400 dip and not actually skill up.

The bigger Paradox gets the less they seem to care.

As of Nov 15, 2014, this DLC is not functioning properly. You will get the borders (more or less) of your CK2 empire, but that's about where any similarity to your CK2 game ends.

The converter is almost always broken. The devs take so long to update it that it seems to never catch up with the current version of CK2. Expect crashes, missing cultures in EU4 and many other issues.

I can't recommend paying actual money for this product. Unless you're ok with the fact that you'll have to fix it yourself for it to be usable.

Good to see I have a new "export game"/crash button now. Totaly worth that $10. They should not be able to sell a dlc that doe's not work!

Outright BROKEN. The developpers themselves admit it is, yet continue to make us pay 10$ for a product that does NOTHING, least of all what it is advertised to do. This is outright theft as far as I'm concerned. Steer clear. (Preferrably also steer clear from any and all other paradox games. While they can be fun, paradox has shown time and again it doesn't give a rat's ♥♥♥ about its customers)

UPDATE: It works again, now, though it remains very buggy. I would still highly recommend not buying this, this kind of practice shouldn't be encouraged.

Got off the fence and bought EUIV because of this DLC... Spent well over 100 hours working my way up from Pictish tribe to a merchant republic spanning all of Britannia, Iceland, bits of France, Greece, Italy, Sweeden... anyway, very excited to take my 1.4 million prestige game into the next phase only to crash the first time I tried an export and once successfully completed, to be greeted with a notice that the exported game would not function as a mod in EUIV as the current version was not supported.

So, I cannot recomend this, as much as I would love to. The idea of being able to start EUIV from the end of your previously altered version of history was very alluring to me, and I had hoped at some point to see a new version of Victoria, and export tools for that and the latest HOI, allowing for a narrative of your empire spanning 1500+ years.

Do I still look forward to spending time in EUIV? Sure, but I am extremely disappointed in this DLC at the moment. Reaching the end of around 150 hours of play time to be greeted with a runtime error and a version incompatibilty was anti-climatic to say the very least.

I am giving this a negative rating, with the hope that this DLC can reach its full potential at some point.

Unless and until you can verify this DLC is working however, stear clear.

Since I've bought it, it didn't work at all! It's a shame. I want to bring all my savegames in the EUIV world and I can't do it! I paid for this DLC and I want you to let it work.

It was a fine idea, being able to continue your CKII games in EUIV, but it didn't really work out, did it, Paradox?
With Sweden and Poland having Muslim technology groups, Scotland and Wales having the Eastern one and pretty much nothing working I'd have to say this DLC is a complete failure as of now. Hopefully you guys will fix it in the future, because it is after all a really great idea, but right now it's fairly useless.

Needs updated to run on the current versions of EUIV or it's just a pointless money sink

EDIT: Works now as of the latest CKII patch.

DO NOT BUY! DOES NOT WORK! I waited until patch 1.9 in order to write this review in hopes that they might fix the problem. They have not. This does not seem to be a priority for them, as they have not yet even addressed these concerns.

Other than that, awesome idea.

A really neat addition that lets you export your Crusader Kings 2 game to Europa Universalis 4. You can convert the Crusader Kings 2 game at any time and however many times you want to with the press of a button in game. The conversion can be a bit buggy with some oddities in EU4 (had 5 perms and 2 cumanias), but otherwise works exactly as advertised. Plus this is the only way you can play some secret countries that have their own national ideas such as the roman empire and various holy orders (like the knights templar and Jomsvikings), as well as a whole tech group, high american.

And no, the export counts as a mod for EU4 and does not let you cheese achievements by starting an ironman game with an import where the Holy Roman Empire owns half the world.

Highly recommended if you own both CK2 and EU4 (obviously do not buy this if you do not have EU4), even though I rarely use it, its fun mixing up the world or fighting the super power you created in CK2 as the aztecs or whatever.

!!WARNING!!

Does not work with current EUIV. Needs updating to work.
This need to be disabled until fixed.

The game is great but this kind of action is an outrage.

This is an absolutely great idea with horrible execution. Only buy this if you are very forgiving of bugs and crashes. Overall it's a broken dlc product for an otherwise stellar game. Honestly, it's kind of a crock they charge for this.
