Novel mechanics, learn as you play and become even better at the game. Great community, interact with the veterans and the new players. Set your own personal goals and 100 percent the game!

Honestly, if this doesn't win "Best use of a farm animal", the system is broken.

The goats...the goats...

First things first: this is not RPG, although it may look like.
It's puzzle/risk management game with some style elements from RPG.
And it's one hell of a good puzzle. Even for the most straightforward and simple classes/races/dungeons there is really a huge stockpile of available tactical options.
My only complaints about the game are that it's somewhat repetative, though luck can be sometimes a decisive factor; and also I liked the graphical style of alpha v0.2 a bit more.

A very unique game that blends roguelike with puzzle elements in an extraordinary way. Now, if anyone would have told me that, I would not have been interested at all.... However, for some reason this just works.

It's tough as nails and will beat you up, but each death feels like a lesson ccompletely called for. The insane amount of depth it brings to the table makes you feel like a complete mastermind once you've nailed it. The developers have succeeded in generating a super balanced game that can always bring you a challange.

As a person who has a ton of hours in this game (Although not quite as many as my account suggests) I have nothing but praise for this game, it really is that good.

Simple but complex. Addicting. However, this is a puzzle game with a dungeon crawling skin. If you don't want a puzzle game, look elsewhere.

One of the most challenging and rewarding games out there. A fully functional alpha is available to test and try all the features pretty much for free too. This game brins a lot more to the table though.

I was offered this as a gift because "that's the kind of games you like, right?".

Right.

Every time I have 5 minutes free and my PC happens to be nearby, I play it.

If you want a puzzle/strategy/resource management game with the flavor of an RPG and some decently amusing writing, this game is a solid pick. Be warned, though: the dungeons you unlock get brutally hard after a while, and some people don't like that you have to unlock almost everything. If you see it on sale, I definitely recommend it.
(Side note: the DLC is not necessary, it just adds a bonus class which is purely for fun, since it doesn't earn any rewards from victory)

This is a great game! It reminds me of minesweeper, with a RPG dungen type twist. You never play the same map twice.

You start each dungeon/puzzle at level 1 and have to fight your way through monsters until you can fight toe to toe with the boss. Despite being "puzzle-ish" there are a lot of different ways to beat a specific dungeon, even if it does not seem like it the first time you play. Fighting a monster takes away health and mana, though you can replenish it by exploring. However, just make sure to consider in which direction you want to explore the dungeon, as the precious tiles run out faster than you think. There are also a lot of different items that you can unlock, which will help you to smack those monsters around. And to spice it up, you have also 9 gods to choose from. Each one will alter your play style, as they reward and punish(!) various actions. One god is easy to learn, but tough to master, but to use more than one and know when to worship which god will take time, but will give such a huge reward!

In addition, there are some fixed dungeons included, which only allow for one single execution of steps to beat the challenge. They are very smartly designed and will teach you the mechanics of the game (if you are observant). Very well done!

10/10 Definitely recommend

Neat little game that I supported early on, before release, because of a fantastic free, simpler version.

For this price, this offers a lot of content and variety. The gameplay is quick and easy to pick up and you can have quick or long play sessions. The game is humorous and the writing is surprisingly well done. Don't expect a roguelike with deep RPG mechanics. This focuses solely on min/maxing numbers. Overall, a great package for the price. This one took me by surprise.

Probably the smartest game I have played during the last couple of years.

This game is a puzzle game, that present a different challenge at every run, due to the random generation of the dungeons (dungeons layout, monsters, available items, spells, gods,...), the selection of the race and class of the adventurer and the preparation you bring into the dungeon. Each setup play very differently and regarding the huge amount of content available in it, there is literally several hundreds hours of gameplay in it.

What I like the most about it is that when you successfully finish a dungeon, you really feel like you have done a great achievement.

The downside of the game is that it is really hard, and you need to invest time into learning how to play it and how the different system interacts.

Highly recommended.
