I owned Weird Worlds on my iPad and played it for hours before I found it on Steam, and bought it here too. I find it to be a great diversion, a light space RPG that I can blast through without any real time commitment. It doesn't have a huge variety of content - you'll see most of what there is to see on the first few plays, but there are subtle random elements which will lead to little surprises for a while after that. Exploration is by far the highlight, finding treasures and technology and using them to upgrade your ship. Combat is probably the weak point - it's quite basic and rather difficult in early game, best avoided until you have no other options. The variety of weapon effects is nice though.
Weird Worlds isn't a difficult game particularly, but as with any Roguelike there will be times when you just can't get a break. This is necessary to maintain a little sense of achievement when you do win, but for me the draw that keeps me coming back is to beat my high score and the two 'boss' events that occasionally happen.
