A game about increasing the amount of soup at the expense of non-soup substances.

The game showed MASSIVE promise in Early Access, especially when they added online coop, the sad thing is, it only got WORSE after the game RELEASED, they completely BROKE the working multiplayer by forcing a badly done 30fps cap, sure they added a toggle for 60fps but it does absolutely nothing for online.

I was able to flawlessly play with 2 friends online in early access up to the point where they gave you everything unlocked because the story was not done I believe.

Now though, post release, I tried to play online with a friend, the game will load and you will crash at 60 fps as well as run around for a few seconds before both your games freeze and you get the loading circle in the bottom corner and then you are greeted with unplayable and badly done 30fps.

It doesn't help that the devs have pretty much confirmed they have abandoned the game(for now) to work on a new game. So save your money and avoid this game.

This game is good. And I would totaly recommend this game.... For Singleplayer. In multiplayer this game is even better BUT! since the last update (Aug,15) U get a 30fps drop. Seems like the game thinks its out of sync and slows down the game. But it never goes sync again and you will stuck with a slow 30fps game. It happens in every game after 10-30 Sec. Till they dont fix it, I would not recommend NomNomGalaxy. Sadly....

I liked this game, but I didn't even finish the campaign (conquest) mode because it got stale quickly due to technical issues. I'd like to revisit this game when (or rather if) it's more polished.

Pro's
  • Funny visual style.
  • Enjoyable soup production management. It's cool to try new recipies and see how the market reacts.

Cons
  • Online multiplayer apparently doesn't work. I can't try it because nobody plays. That's a shame, because that's one of the things that attracted me to the game when I saw the trailer.
  • Every 5-10 mins or so "night falls", resulting in the statistics for the day. You then continue to play the next day. First of all, this happens way too fast, but also all resources that were not picked up during the day despawn. That ties into the next point...
  • The game is all about automation, but the AI doesn't work too well. There is a robot for planting and a robot for harvesting ingredients, but more often than not one of them fails to do their job properly (they just idle around), leaving resources on the floor. This doesn't only ruin the whole "automation" aspect, but the resources also despawn like mentioned in the previous point. This unfortunately completely breaks the flow of the game. This is a point that's been discussed in various forum posts and also attempts were made to fix this, but it seems to be in vain.
