I wanted to like this game and for the most part it was okay... merely okay. The problem was the controls. The controls were incredibly frustrating and many ammo drops were simply not reachable. The game is full of bugs and glitches, and simply doesn't play well. The storyline is ridiculous as well. I'll try to play it again after only playing for about twenty minutes... and give it another shot. Maybe I'll revise my review, but I doubt it.

Open up a can of whip ♥♥♥ and plug in your gamepad, this game throws everything and the kitchen sink at the player in a non-stop blood bath of explosive beauty. If your not gutting them, your shooting them, and if that fails your tossing nades and lighting off the explosives, this game keeps on giving. When you think you've mastered the hurricane of hell the final showdown will throw you another curve ball. Get ready for a light show folks. This one's a kick in the ♥♥♥.

Narco Terror is a below average twin-stick shooter that services mindless explosion-laden action with a forgettable excuse of an 80s B-movie plot, with all the expected tropes, involving a DEA agent rescuing his daughter from a Peruvian drug lord.

Technically, the shooting mechanism and Magicka-styled ammo type combos are satisfactory, but some non-breaking glitches like unreachable ammo drops, ridiculous invisible walls, abrupt transitions and beamed down red shirts out of Nowhereistan still remind you that this is a mediocre game.

If you can ignore the cheap looks and nonsense narrative, co-op can scratch that Contra itch once in a while. 2/5
