Duuuude.... This game. Wow. But also, like, short. It's a good game, but has some surprising scenes, definetly not expected, but a good game all in all. I would recomend this because it's fun and interesting, controlling two characters at once can be a struggle at times, but it's a great concept with good graphics and good looks.

Brother - A Tale of Two Sons is a short storyline game.
The game was a pleasure to play through, even though it was short (finished in about 2-3 hours).
With pleasing visuals I would recommend anyone to play through this game.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this game as much as I did, but it turned out to be the most fun I've had playing a platformer since I was a kid. The controls can be tricky at first, as you have to control both brothers at the same time throughout the game, but it was worth the effort to get used to. One thing worth noting is that you need a keyboard that can handle more than the typical three inputs at once. My Sidewinder X6 gaming keyboard couldn't do it, but fortunately I had a backup AULA SI-859 cheap gaming keyboard ($23 on Amazon) that worked like a charm.

Recommended?: Yes, when on sale

I have been playing shooter after shooter lately so I thought I'd play something completely different, this isn't a genre I've ever really played before but I have to say I enjoyed it a lot.

Overall it has to be one of the most beautiful games I've played, the design is spot on in so many different ways but especially the landscapes which are gorgeous and varied throughout. The puzzles are fun but not too challenging, the little mechanics that are added as the game goes on keep it fresh and the pacing feels just right, the game doesn't overstay its welcome like most games tend to do these days. I would highly recommend you play this in one sitting like I did, it's really best experienced like that. Next time it's on sale I'd highly recommend grabbing it, it's well worth and if you go into it blind to the story you'll enjoy it so much more (which is why I've avoided talking about it at all).

Brothers is an incredible journey with an entirely diverse set of environments and ingenious use of its controls. The importance of the game's controls becomes particularly imporant later on in the game.

I would absolutely recommend purchasing it at any price.

This game was the worst game I have played. It has cool graphics and has some great moments but this game is by no means meant for kids. Be prepared for lots of blood and violent scenes in what I read was a non violent game.

Not recommended for kids - definitely for adults that are not squeamish.

You should at least explain the controls and game mechanics. Maybe it is a great game and experience. But i will never know because i don't have the patience and time to guess how the controls are suppossed to work.

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is an Action Adventure game set in a fantasy world.

You're Naiee and Naia, two brothers whose father is dying. After taking him with the village’s doctor, he says the only cure lies in the waters of the Tree of Life, then, Naiee and Naia embark on a journey to the tree, hoping to save their father, but the world is huge and dangerous, beautiful and dark.

Words don't do it justice, I've played many games over the years, but nothing like this, something not only enjoyable, but also soul touching. Here, you’ll forget about everything, while drowning in a beautiful story, worth every praise it has already gotten.

this is a beautiful short game that's pieced together admirably, and it's one that i've become enamored with ♥

it's certain that the story itself is the pillar of this game's foundation while puzzle-solving stands as an inferior element. i personally didn't find that to be an issue since i'm not opposed to a non-challenging game as long as it still has its merits, which in this case, it does. although the playthrough (generally between two to six hours) is quite momentary, the wonderful quality makes it worthwhile.

i was pleased by the unique, simple-to-grasp gameplay and non-complex obstacles that merged flawlessly with the story's fluidity. each transition was a passage full of adventure-- i found delight in being met with lovely little surprises like riding mountain goats and sailing on a sky glider. i'd also pace my course throughout the scenic journey so i could appreciate the landscape encompassed by an enchanting ambience. as for the brothers, they were personable characters with a charm suitable for the heartfelt story. my fondness towards them progressed alongside the heroic tale, and with that, so did my devotion to their valorous pursuit. inevitably, this endearing story steadily tugged at my heartstrings until i fell in love with the entirety of it.

A beautiful game with a story line fit for a movie. It is truely an amazing tale of the unfairness of life and how two brothers over came them . Everything is a gamble in life and this game shows that no outcome is truely without consequence.

The graphics are creative and diverse, from mountain tops, to tree forests, to the depths of caves and water. This game brings to life an epic journey through its amazing artwork. Lastly the sound (music and voices) are not overly done, by being subtle in the background. This lets the visuals shine and be the true show case of the story telling.

I highly recommend this game for its amazing ability to tell a story of life, with it's realism and understanding, without becoming predictable or boring. Congratulations to the developers and I wish more games were this memorable and immersive!

I give this 5 out of 5 Beers!

Cheers,
Frost

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is often named as one of the best example of games that use the tools proper of the video game medium in a way that no other does.

The main "gimmick" of the game is the fact that you control the titular two brothers at once, using one analog control stick and one "action" button for each.
This mechanic, alien at first, quickly becomes second nature, letting you fully enjoy your travels through beautiful scenery following the brothers on a quest to find a cure for their dying father.

Talking about storytelling, that's another way Brothers sets itself apart from most other games, as the simple, fable-like story is told using gameplay and rare in-engine cutscenes.

You find out the personality and quirks of each brother by the way they interact with each other and with the people and creatures they encounter during the journey. You understand the power of their brotherly bond by the way they help each other out solving puzzles or getting out of difficult situations. All of this without ever having to read or hear a single word.

I would 100% recommend Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons if it wasn't already clear enough, as the way the game marries its storytelling to its mechanics is truly fascinating and definitely worth the 2 to 4 hours needed to complete it.

Beautiful game and beautiful story.

Having just finished it, it brought this poem to mind;

"The waves are high and the sunset’s red,
So now it’s time to go to bed.

The tide is up and the wind does rip,
But this old ship’ll never tip.

We’re far at sea , days from land,
But if you’re scared just take my hand.

Just hold on tight boy-o-mine,
In my arms you’ll be just fine."

Great little game that challanges your ability to control 2 characters at once - it is not easy to always use each hand for each brother simulatenously.
I like that in this game I cant fall of cliffs by accidentaly walking too far, for once i welcome invisible walls.
It was a bit hard to play all game with Steam Controller, Xbox or PS controllers could be easier because of 2 sticks, one for each brother. I had to swapt to keyboard a few times, especially for little brothers controls in some parts of the game.
Although there are some fun moments in this game, the overall mood in this game is not he happiest one.
