About This Content

Defy hostile alien abductors and fight your way off of the massive Mothership Zeta, orbiting Earth miles above the Capital Wasteland. Mothership Zeta takes Fallout 3 in an entirely new direction – outer space. Meet new characters and join with them in a desperate bid to escape the Aliens’ clutches. To do so, you’ll wield powerful new weapons, like the Alien Atomizer, Alien Disintegrator, and Drone Cannon, and deck yourself out in brand new outfits, like the Gemini-Era Spacesuit and even Samurai Armor.

STORY

A strange Alien signal is being broadcast throughout the Capital Wasteland, originating from a crashed UFO. Is it a distress call, or something far more sinister? That question is answered when you find yourself beamed aboard an enormous Alien spacecraft, with only one alternative – to fight your way to the bridge of the ship and secure your escape.

KEY FEATURES:

  • Find and exploit new and destructive alien technology, like the Alien Atomizer and Drone Cannon.
  • Explore the vast Mothership and learn the secrets of the Aliens’ master plan.
  • Thwart the Aliens’ attempt to stop your escape, and take over the Alien ship before it wreaks havoc on the unsuspecting Earth below.
  • Fight against the Alien Invaders, their robot drones, and turn their own horrible experiments against them.
  • Ally yourself with an unexpected array of characters, both from the Capital Wasteland and from Earth’s past.

I do not recommend this DLC for one single reason.

Aliens.

This DLC single-handedly ♥♥♥♥ed the lore.

How you ask? Well it's very simple, in this DLC Bethesda said that Aliens caused the Great War. They took something that was purely an EASTER EGG AND FORCED IT INTO THE LORE. THE ♥♥♥♥?
This video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC9l4lCmlko&ab_channel=MisterCaption explains it much better than I but this DLC single-handedely ruined the series.

The DLC overall wasn't terrible, just not worth the time it took to play

Pros-
+Powerful weapons and lots of ammo
+Interesting setting
+a very cool ending
+Fun characters from different eras of time (Cowboy, Prewar solider, etc.)

Cons-
+Too long with out very much diversity
+Fighting aliens was novel at first, but got dull quickly
+not worth $5
+lots of shooting with few RPG elements

Overall: Only buy if you are into shooting and pushing buttons for 4 hours

i wont to vote no on recommending this dlc because its has so many glitches, but i voted yes, aside from the aliens being hard to kill and the TelePrompTers not working when you need them too. i hope the problems get fixed.

i´d buy this for the guns rather than the expansion itself it has bad and boring quests not to mention once you start it you cant go back until you finish it. this is the easily the worst DLC for Fallout 3 beside the guns there is no real reason to buy it

Mothership Zeta is definitely one of the best DLCs I've ever played on any game. if your character uses energy weapons, then you should buy this DLC.
It was extremely fun, and I loved the stereotypical aliens.

It's an okay DLC. But a bit of a let down for me personally.

Pros
+ Space setting is great
+ Cool characters from different periods of time
+ Very, very, very good weapons. Almost worth buying for just the weapons.
+ Great finale

Cons
- Feels very linear. You're just set down one path.
- Literally, go here, fight through loads of aliens and robots, press a few buttons and then repeat about three times. That is a large part of the DLC.

Worth getting, but most likely only when it's on sale or if you're really desperate for some cool weapons or more Fallout.

Punched an alien in the face with my fists.
Took the alien's electronic baton.
Hit an alien gunner with the baton.
Took the mysterious piece of alien technology.
Pushed a button.
An alien cow came from nowhere.
Shot the cow with my alien gun.
Repeated that 1,000 times.

Would do that again.
25/10

The DLC is very indepth and I love the way the story is introduced to the player. The fact that you havge so many choices in this DLC compaired to many others games are very astounding and show that this DLC is ready for playing and ready for beating.
