Heads up: Medical item usage was changed!

Hey everyone!

Some of you have been making posts stating you're having issues with medical items. This is because we made changes to how you USE the items in 1.09.0. Allow me to explain!

We made these changes to make the game more immersive. We had always wanted the player to have to use items, and we didn't like the videogamey "just click on it and magically consume it" setup we had since launch.

We finally got the animations made (courtesy of Rock) for ALL medical items. So now, in order to use a medical item, you do the following:
- Left-Click on the item in your inventory much like a weapon to equip it like a weapon
- Left-Click like you're attacking, and you'll apply the medical item to yourself
- Watch the pretty animation, and don't die in the process
- ???
- Profit!!!

If your still confused, Riley has made a step by step video tutorial and you can find it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VY5ANbddoSo
You may also like to know that we've added a new item, called "Gene Therapy" - This item is an experimental antiretroviral vaccine developed by the CDC, NIH and WHO. It can both CURE and IMMUNIZE against Infection.... BUT it has a slight chance of a side effect! You may go temporarily, partially blind for 10 seconds after use! So be careful! But you'll never be infected again ;)

We hope this helps, and leave us any feedback or questions in the comments below!

Post shamelessly stolen from Maxx :P

About This Game

"When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth."

A tribute to the highly acclaimed film series in which the above quote originated from, No More Room in Hell (PC Gamer's Mod of the Year 2011, ModDB's Editor Choice Multiplayer Mod of the Year 2011), is a co-operative realistic first person survival horror modification for the Source Engine. Taking inspiration from George Romero's "Of the Dead" series, the mod is set during a time in which the world is on the verge of collapsing into chaos from a disease whose origin is unknown. Many experts and organizations have their theories and ideas on how such a disease emerged and started to systematically destroy our very way of life, but one fact is clear to all. Whoever perishes from the disease gets up and kills, and the people they killed get up and kill.

The chances of you surviving this all out war of society and the undead are slim to none. Already, there are millions of the walking dead shambling about, searching for food to eat. There's no known cure. One bite can possibly end it all for you. However, you aren't alone in this nightmare. There are still a handful of uninfected survivors left in this god forsaken hellhole, and with co-operation and teamwork, you may live long enough to fight your way to salvation.

Features:

  • Teamwork: Co-operative play with up to eight players.
  • Voice and Text Communications Limited by Distance: The further you're away the harder it is for other players to hear you. Keep those walkie talkies close!
  • Dynamic Objective Maps: The next playthrough may not be the same as the last!
  • Survival Mode: Defend and maintain your shelter against the undead in the hopes of getting extracted to a safe area.
  • A Realistic Approach: In short, no crosshairs with limited "only when you want it" HUD. In addition, ammo and weapons are extremely scarce. With that in mind, aim down your sights and shoot for the head!
  • Multitude of Different Opponents: Ranging from the iconic "walking zombie" to the more contemporary "runners", NMRiH will keep you on your toes with a mix of dangerous foes to face down. However, the most dangerous enemy may not always be the walking dead...
  • Infection: One bite may be what it takes to bring you down. If infected, you must decide if you want to alert your team to rid you of your burden, or to keep quiet in the hopes of finding a cure...
  • 30+ weapons and counting, ranging from the diminutive .22 Target Pistol, to the almighty Chainsaw.
  • No pay to win items
  • No ads
  • 100% Free

Planned Features:

  • National Guard NPCs - Will they help you or see you as just another walker?
  • Full dismemberment - gibs for arms and legs instead of just the head
  • More gamemodes including a mode that mixes Survival with Objectives
  • New and varied zombie types - SWAT/Military zombies with body armor
  • More playable characters (including females)
  • Stat tracking along with Steam Achievements - With the possibility of unlockable items
  • More frequent updates with Steam support
  • More maps and overall content with Steam support
No More Room in Hell is a Half-Life 2 Zombification. The mod was founded in 2003. It switched hands and a new team took over in 2009. Beta version 1.0 was released on Halloween of 2011. This game is a good slow paced tactical co op zombie game
Ammo is a luxury, and a good gun is as well.
This game shows an apocalypse like it is- not only is mommy and daddy a zombie, but little Tim and Gabby are as well, so it has this creepy element to it with the children zombies. Oh and it's actually free and there are 0 microtransactions, and the devs should keep it that way.
Overall good game

This is such a good game, with great gameplay! You won't survive without teamwork, well you'd need a decent team at least, and sometimes you'll be the last one alive or you'll be making a sacrifice for your fellow comrades.

My advice for this game:
Stay away from nine year old mic spammers
Don't be a hero
Stick together at all costs
Learn that if you get bit that you still can hold some zombies back
Don't hog all the decent weapons and ammunition...
Be careful where you fire your SMG or throw your grenade
And don't bloody kill your team-mates.

No More Room in Hell is a zombie survival game. There are 2 modes, one called Survival and one called Objective. Survival is where you (and your teammates) have to hold down an area or multiple areas from waves of zombies until the extraction comes. If your area(s) go down to 0% HP, then you will not be able to be extracted and therefore, will have to restart. The other mode, called Objective, is where you (and your teammates) will have to do certain objectives leading to extraction. The objectives range from blowing up something to placing certain objects somewhere. There are 2 difficulties as well, one called Classic, and one called Casual. Classic is where you spawn with nothing, and you don't spawn at all when you die unless a major objective is completed or a wave is completed. Casual is where you will always spawn with a melee weapon, and you have respawn tokens. You have 3 when you join/start, but every 10 zombie kills will earn you a token. Each token will allow you to spawn in 5 seconds near a player when you die. There are 3 zombie types in the game. The most common is slow, walking zombies. These guys just walk very slowly and attack if you get close. Be careful though, because these are common they can swarm you if your not careful. Less common is running zombies, which don't appear too often in the game. These guys run towards you very fast and sometimes require good timing to take down. The last is child zombies, which are basically childs that are zombies. These little guys are slower then runners, but faster then slow zombies. They will attack you, and it will not do that much damage but they can attack fast and can be a pain. They have a lower hitbox therefore requires you to aim a bit down to hit them. They have less health too and will usually die by one or two hits by a melee or gun to the head. The game, overall, is really fun, especially with friends to play it with. The game, at first, may seem really hard to play, as guns and ammo are scarce, and melee you have the risk of getting hurt while striking. However, as you get more used to it, the game will turn out to be much easier. It is good to read the players survival guide for the game by clicking where it is located at the right where it says "Players Survival Guide" when you play the game at first, or if you need to be reminded about something. There is a good range of guns and melee weapons you can find, and even get achievements for getting certain amount of kills with them. The game's engine is the Source Engine, which means that the game might be similar to Valve games such as TF2 and CS, such as the Developer Console. There is a few glitches in the game which may seem to make the game easier or slightly break the game, however it doesn't seem like a major thing. Most games have glitches sometimes, so it's fine. The developers of the game are constantly working on adding new content and fixing glitches. The developers also interact with the community in forums, and such as get players' opinions on certain things, which is nice. It's also free to play!

Overall, I rate this game 10/10. Keep up the great work developers! :D

This game is good especially for a F2P but melee needs fixing because half the time some random takes all the guns. Then when I HAVE to melee people get angry I'm not going to just stand there and do nothing, but it takes like 3 hits from a hammer to kill just ONE. If a workshop comes out and possibly a system like Sniper Elite NZA where you spawn in a bunker with loads of guns / ammo etc at the start of the map the game would be better IMO. I would like to give it more of a chance but when I hardly got to actually play...

When I first started playing this game, I was a little bit sceptical about the engine it was running on.
As you all may know, it is running on source engine, the same which is present in half-life and the counter strike franchise (and many more games). The problem is, the game at first felt a little ‘’stiff ‘’. It is definitely nothing like Dead Island, and the gameplay mechanics are not fluid. However…..
After few tries, I definitely did get used to it. If you ever played counter strike or any other game running on source, you will have no problems with this.
Now, onto the actual game. No more room in hell is a basic cooperative survival zombie game. It started off as a mod for Half-life 2.
There are a few game modes, such as the survival mode, where basically you have to hold up as long as you possibly can, fighting off the waves of undead. The objective, where your team has to accomplish a task in given time. Also the developers have promised to release more game modes in the future.
There are 30+ weapons in the game, ranging from a small axe to FN FAL or a .45 revolver. You can use a hammer and wooden planks to board up an entrance, in order to keep the zombies out. You can actually get infected by a zombie that bitt you. There is also voice chat for easier communication with other players. The graphics are surprisingly good and I have not encountered any server issues or lags during my short game play. Even though at its early stages, NMRIH (No more room in hell) is a very polished game. If you have ever played DayZ….don’t worry, this game is actually playable in its standalone form 
Overall, this is a brilliant zombie survival game. It has a really gloomy feel to it and descent soundtrack, like any zombie game should have, cool looking maps and plenty of features to keep you busy kicking undead ♥♥♥. I thoroughly recommend it to all zombie fans out there. Definitely worth checking out and playing with your friends.

The game's gameplay is far more better than the title itself. I've never heard of this game's existence though it was out for years already. This is a great FPS Survival Zombie Game which has many contents presented. Great graphics, lots of guns and melees to choose from, and supply crates. The game has a few bugs, but is still worth it. You can even kill yourself, and steal other people's loot if they die before they even come back to get their items back! Awesome looking maps, and it's very fun to play with some friends. Though the lack of the popularity nowawadays, the game is still alive. It's worth playing since it's free!

One of the deepest, immersive and haunting cooperative experiences ever written and powered by the venerable Source Engine. The Zombie Apocalypse truly comes alive in No More Room in Hell; An eerie but spellbinding sountrack, incredible attention to detail in all areas, unparelled depth to gameplay and seemingly endless hordes which your few resources or weapons won't permanently end. This is the apocalypse done right, something that should be cherished by lovers of the co-operative genre. Remember to bring your friends......and be prepared to make some hard calls in the name of survival.

Honestly, this is a fairly realist zombie survival co-op game, theres other things I could tag it as but it'd be a pretty long list.

How the game is a objective based type of playthrough gives it a really good touch, gives it a reason to be a co-op game because with out friends, you're screwed over.

This game dosnt have great graphics, dosnt have plenty of special enemies and isnt fast as some of other games about zombies. Also its kinde "slow" because most of zombies dosnt run like in Left 4 Dead 2, but... But u wont have 150 for your pistol... If you have some luck u will find pistol with 10 bullets and in this game even 1 bullet can save u. And when u stand in fron of few slow zombies and slash thier heads with sledgehammer, when u move 1 step back after every slash u feel u r closer and closer to wall behind u. And closer to ur death... And u wish that none of "runners" r close or kids.. Cuz if kid find you aim for its head. If few kids find even if got gun u wanna run like never before without lookin back.

No more room in hell takes a realistic approach to a zombie survival game. Survival; You work together with your teammates to survive until rescue comes. Objective; Work together to get out of the area.

Unlike Killing Floor or Left 4 Dead where you get guns with so much ammo, this game requires you to search the area to find the weapons you need. No unlimited ammo, everything matters. You're hanging by a thread, use up the ammo and you won't get through.

This game basically needs patience, but rewards you with the achievements and gets you good friends.

8.5/10 Will recommend.

A 10/10 With friends. A 3/10 With other people.

As stated above, it's really fun to play with your friends, because it's a teamwork game, they won't let you down easily and the communication is real important too.
If you die in a campaign playing with other people you will have to wait around 10 or more of boring minutes before you can even play. (Not to mention you also have to wait when you just joined a server and waiting spectator mode) (So it goes like: Die, wait 10 minutes, restart, repeat.)
Whatever mode you are playing, weapons and ammunition will always spawn around you at the begin point and scattered throughout the map, not to mention, there is around 12 kinds of ammunition. What every round goes is like the following: people rush and take all the stuff they can, even if they have the wrong ammunition and gun, they will never share. (Some people don't even know how to drop it or use them!) Good luck there with your kitchen knife and a gun with no magazine. And guess what, melee needs real good momentum, and not everyone has that. People would die, turn into fast-agile like zombies which are really hard to deal with and most likely infect you and ruin your round.
Besides, if you play campaign. You could pretty much rush to the end point without killing any zombies.(Dodge and luring) But people just wants to kill them and eventually die by them.
If you play survival/defending with other people. They won't be defending ♥♥♥♥, but run around and solo the zombies then die like a fool. (Zone's get overrun, gameover. Restart. Repeat.)
You can't complete any campaign (Unless you are a skilled player and carry all their asses, like me, which has almost completed all the achievements) and survival/defending (Which has a 0% of winning even if you carry them so damn hard)

Summary:

Basically it's a huge time waster game and ♥♥♥♥ people with an IQ of 10 (30% of the people) AND greedy people (60% of the people) playing the game IF YOU play with public people that is.

So get your 3 or more friends on skype/teamspeak, join an empty server with a cap of 7 or less.
= Profit. (Everyone is happy.

Only worth with friends. Trust me. You'll be remembering this review if you just join a random server.
