This is the first racing game I've ever played so far and I'm absolutely into F1 and when I saw some videos, I really wanted to get it.

When I first started the game, I didn't have any problems at all and the Young Drivers' Test really helped me to understand and learn the basics. After the Young Drivers' Test you'll have your first ever race weekend in F1 2013. The Practice Session is really helpful to get used to the track and the handling of the car etc. It really takes some time to get used to the handling, the oversteer, the understeer, the track and I recommend to use the full practice season, or even restart it when you're running out of time. The driving assists really help and allow you to focus on the track and its hardest corners. I spent about 7 hours on the Melbourne circuit to get used to the car and the track itself. Once you got used to the handling, oversteer, understeer etc. it won't take that long to get used to the following tracks. If you really want to participate in leagues later on, you have to put a high amount of effort and time into it, but you will get rewarded with some epic battles afterwards ;)

All in all, the game is a worthy F1 racing game and I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in Formula 1. I also recommend buying a steering wheel if you don't have one already.

All important features are included, but of course there always are some things that would be nice to have, but you can't have everything. I'd give this game 9,5 out of 10 points.

Considering I called F1 2012 a brilliant game, F1 2013 is... Well, even more brilliant?

The cars feel amazing as the handling is completely different, and it also features a lot more content than its predecessor. Talking about content, of course I can't forget to mention the new classics mode, which most likely won't entertain you for longer than a few hours, but is still great and definitely fun.

F1 2013 is just what F1 2012 should have been.

So, if you haven't had the chance to play F1 2013 yet, go play it.

I might be a bit late on this one, but reviwig a sequel is very hard. Do you review it as an individual game, irrespectful of it's predecessor or judge it as what it is. So here it goes:
Individual Game
Well it's a great game with good quality game-play. Driving a F1 car is great fun and F1 '13 has captured it greatly. There's a huge verity of game-modes to chose from. Don't want to do a complete career, then do season challenge. There's quite a verity to choose from. The graphics are good, but not amazing. It also runs at a good frame-rate. The car models look good, and the tracks look like their real life counterparts, which all adds to the immersion. Overall it's a solid game, if you're a fan of F1 it's must have.
As A Sequel
Well, it certainly doesn't add much to '12. The only thing is Classic Cars, but as half of it's DLC it does feel quite cheap by Code-masters to do this. So it falls down when compared to '12. If you have it, just pick up a mod that changes the cars, and save yourself a load of money.

Best one out so far, super fun to drive the old cars especially after watching the movie "Rush" . Tyre wear is NOT a problem. If you can't manage to save your tyres you need to study your driving skills again and learn about something called throttle management. Fun career and overall a nice looking game graphically. The game does a great job at capturing what it feels like to be slicing through corners at fast speeds and how to handle a Formula 1 car. Nice balance between SIM and Arcade. Enough SIM to make it feel real, but not to much arcade to make it feel like you're playing need for speed. 8.5/10

Probably the best F1 sim ive played till date. Controls and vechile dynamics are spot on, the online modes make it a whole lot more fun when you get tired of your Career modes. also the addition of the classic cars is a very brilliant idea.

Great game without a doubt. Scenario mode as made great improvements since 2012 but classics feels a bit more like a DLC than the game it self. Online is starting to have lag issues but the gameplay is prettymuch spot on. 8.5/10

Its a decent game not the best but not the worst. Theres some connection issues with the game in Multiplayer which is hard for league racing in terms of finishing races. But apart from that career mode is pretty fun if you have the motivation to complete countless seasons. Theres also scenario mode which is pretty fun to complete and you get some achievements complething them. Time trial is good practice for league races which i allways suggest to do which is how i practice for league races myself. Season Challenge is pretty easy and fast which i dont enjoy a 100% but its something to do if your bored and dont fancy doing career mode.

So i rate the game at a respectful 7/10

This game is rewarding but extremely difficult if you lack a steering wheel or controller. It has a steep learning curve but it is definitely worth the cash. F1 2013 is a solid F1 simulator, through and through.

After 125 hours played:
this game is amazing, it feels very real, I play with analogic controls and have the traction control and ABS desactivated and after geting used to it and controling spins and braking lock ups the lap time is slightly improoved with respect to using driving assists. Despite tipical racing games F1 2013 doesn't feel arcade at all, other cars don't wait for you if you do a mistake (like in need for speed, gran turismo, GRID, etc) the radio comments are just fine, not annoying stupid things like in americanized racing games as Dirt 2. Damage simulation is not totally realistic, if you hit another car very softly nothing is broken, while in reality any contact will break some aerodinamic part of the car.

Have to say that I don't play video games since 6-7 years so obviously the graphics part looks like outstanding to me, even with a laptop graphics card (AMD Raedon HD8670M) the details, resolution and framerate are very good.

The sound is another strong aspect of the game, try to conect it to a good (powerfull) speaker or hifi system, and turn up the volume, the engine sound in the straight lines is astonishing.

In grand prix mode you can choose: 3 laps, 5 laps, 25% race, 50% race and 100% race.

I use to play 25% race, it lasts 20 minuts with 1 pit stop, managing the fuel maping is important, this strategycal aspect is one of the things that makes this game so realistic, pure race simulator no arcade game.

About lap times, they are quite similar to 2013 F1 season, maybe 1-2 second faster for a really good lap.

Problems:
At the begining the full screen mode didn't work, just change fullscreen from "false" to "true" in some file and problem fixed. After some update of steam it stoped working, fixed downolading the last drivers for my ATI Radeon GPU.

I have had great fun playing this game over the past year. Cars drive really well and codemasters have done a pretty good job at optimising the game to run smoothly. The gameplay itself is what you would expect F1 to be with the smallest mistakes leading to big impacts on your time, making the game challenging to play. Multiplayer is good fun, especially doing a full race weekend with friends. The few downsides to the gameplay is the voice of your race team is the same and can get rather annoying. Also the penalty system can seem like it is punishing you for another cars mistake. Other than that, brilliant game and I have had loads of fun playing it!

I have played F1 since codemasters started with 2010. Since then it has been steady improvements on some of the AI aspects as well as some features. Keeping up to date with the F1 season. This years is even better with the new 80's era mode. Where you can drive the F1 cars that legends like Senna, Prost, Lauda, and Stewart have all driven and won in. They sound different and even include the older tracks.

The career mode keeps the same format as years past but is still impressive. The team expectations and rivals features really give you something to look forward to season after season. Managing your fuel, tires, and driving to make it to the finish. Online play is fun, however I havent done to many races yet. Would recommend and if you can, get F1 2014.

I've been playing F1 2013 for 10 months now, and I still find it as thrilling as I did when I first bought it. My enjoyment of the game could be mostly attirbuted to my online multiplayer experiences, especially league racing. My one issue with this game is the unchallenging AI. Initially, I felt as if the AI was way overpowered, as I was struggling to keep up with even the easiest setting. However, as I've developed my driving style and got a better feel for the handling of the cars, I've found even legendary difficulty a breeze. I hope that this issue can be fixed in F1 2014. That being said, I would still recommend that a first time player of F1 games at least try F1 2013, especially since it will be significantly cheaper than F1 2014, which comes out later this month. 8/10

You'll Deffilentely play the hell out of this game for a while. Just remember that if you are not willing to constantly be up to getting better and better in the career your not gonna get very far and get pretty bored pretty fast. I also reccomend watching some vids on how to start your carreeer and getting far in it. Understanding how it works and so on. If its on a sale BUY IT if its not then think about if you are going to really play it for its huge price tag. Thats all i've got to say and i bought it on a steam sale for VERY cheap so it was a good buy.
