This is the first racing game I've ever played so far and I'm absolutely into F1 and when I saw some videos, I really wanted to get it.

When I first started the game, I didn't have any problems at all and the Young Drivers' Test really helped me to understand and learn the basics. After the Young Drivers' Test you'll have your first ever race weekend in F1 2013. The Practice Session is really helpful to get used to the track and the handling of the car etc. It really takes some time to get used to the handling, the oversteer, the understeer, the track and I recommend to use the full practice season, or even restart it when you're running out of time. The driving assists really help and allow you to focus on the track and its hardest corners. I spent about 7 hours on the Melbourne circuit to get used to the car and the track itself. Once you got used to the handling, oversteer, understeer etc. it won't take that long to get used to the following tracks. If you really want to participate in leagues later on, you have to put a high amount of effort and time into it, but you will get rewarded with some epic battles afterwards ;)

All in all, the game is a worthy F1 racing game and I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in Formula 1. I also recommend buying a steering wheel if you don't have one already.

All important features are included, but of course there always are some things that would be nice to have, but you can't have everything. I'd give this game 9,5 out of 10 points.

Its a decent game not the best but not the worst. Theres some connection issues with the game in Multiplayer which is hard for league racing in terms of finishing races. But apart from that career mode is pretty fun if you have the motivation to complete countless seasons. Theres also scenario mode which is pretty fun to complete and you get some achievements complething them. Time trial is good practice for league races which i allways suggest to do which is how i practice for league races myself. Season Challenge is pretty easy and fast which i dont enjoy a 100% but its something to do if your bored and dont fancy doing career mode.

So i rate the game at a respectful 7/10

Doesn't really innovate much on the formula, so if you own f1 2012 I would buy 2014 or even 2015. However, I would reccomend it as an update from f1 2011 or before.

According to Steams Global Achievement stats for F1 2013 after over a year out:
Podium Finish
Finish a race in the top three in Career or Season Challenge: 12.2%

over 87% of f1 2013 owners have never placed 3rd or, heaven forbid, actually WON a race in the MAIN part of the game.. way to make a FUN game codemasters.

F1 2013 has a really steep learning curve.

The controls are not kind to players using a keyboard or an X-Box 360 controller. This game is really so focused on technicality that only supported top of the line steering wheel controllers will enable proper car control.

Players will be required to be really spot-on with car set-up and tyre choice to even stand a chance of being in the top 10.

This game is so nit-picky it has lost all the appeal that F1 GP2 (Geoff Crammond's game for the old 486 platform) had.

F1 2013 has supreme graphics, great sound and ultra-realism, but for me lacks the one true ingredient ... fun.

This game is a great simulator of the last year in an era of F1, as we play the final season of the V8 powered F1 Car. Great track design and outstanding amounts of user created content make this game worth the steady 50 USD price tag.

Bought the game a while back only because it was on sale. Haven't played until now. The game play is awesome for a wheel game. I have no idea how well or not it plays on the controller. F1 is not really the racing genre for me. Still though, the force feedback actions are just out of this world.

Not sure how true to life it is. Its easy enough to be called arcadey. Graphics could use much improvement.
Some people think they want true to life games, and find they are not what they expected. This could be for many reasons, maybe they dont have the right equipment, or the settings are not right. Tunning a sim is hard. But out of the box this game is very playable on my Fanate Porche GT3rs wheel with crs elite pedals, inverted.

I have tried the online part of this game. There is no one online.

As I have learned most of these box titles have little to no online audience.
Sadly all the free to plays are getting the online audiences.

The market for F1 games is quite small and its hard to find one that is good. By good I dont just mean the graphics but the physics of the game. F1 2013 ticks all of these boxes. It looks good, plays good and the driving feels how you would imagine a F1 car to. An improvement on its predecessor in visuals and the fact that you dont get flags nothing.

The only thing I can fault this game on is that it isnt really suitable for a keyboard, if you want manual shifting, DRS and KERS than its a little hard to position your fingers.

All in all a great game.

As a fan of the series since the F1 2010 game. F1 2013 is nightmare from F1 2012 – a lot of wheel spin and lack of downforce in low speed corners.

The Classic Edition is scam - you get few unrealistic Classic cars and tracks, the rest are DLC/Premium (no classic McLaren or Ayrton Senna)

The first time out on this game, no setup done, no prep, I got pole in a Williams in Melbourne on Legend (hardest) difficulty. And Race finished 6th position 100% race distance.

The only improvement, graphically, is that the from-driver perspective is more realistic. The AI is slightly improved too.
