This is the first racing game I've ever played so far and I'm absolutely into F1 and when I saw some videos, I really wanted to get it.

When I first started the game, I didn't have any problems at all and the Young Drivers' Test really helped me to understand and learn the basics. After the Young Drivers' Test you'll have your first ever race weekend in F1 2013. The Practice Session is really helpful to get used to the track and the handling of the car etc. It really takes some time to get used to the handling, the oversteer, the understeer, the track and I recommend to use the full practice season, or even restart it when you're running out of time. The driving assists really help and allow you to focus on the track and its hardest corners. I spent about 7 hours on the Melbourne circuit to get used to the car and the track itself. Once you got used to the handling, oversteer, understeer etc. it won't take that long to get used to the following tracks. If you really want to participate in leagues later on, you have to put a high amount of effort and time into it, but you will get rewarded with some epic battles afterwards ;)

All in all, the game is a worthy F1 racing game and I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in Formula 1. I also recommend buying a steering wheel if you don't have one already.

All important features are included, but of course there always are some things that would be nice to have, but you can't have everything. I'd give this game 9,5 out of 10 points.

Its a decent game not the best but not the worst. Theres some connection issues with the game in Multiplayer which is hard for league racing in terms of finishing races. But apart from that career mode is pretty fun if you have the motivation to complete countless seasons. Theres also scenario mode which is pretty fun to complete and you get some achievements complething them. Time trial is good practice for league races which i allways suggest to do which is how i practice for league races myself. Season Challenge is pretty easy and fast which i dont enjoy a 100% but its something to do if your bored and dont fancy doing career mode.

So i rate the game at a respectful 7/10

Considering I called F1 2012 a brilliant game, F1 2013 is... Well, even more brilliant? The cars feel amazing as the handling is completely different, and it also features a lot more content than its predecessor. Talking about content, of course I can't forget to mention the new classics mode, which most likely won't entertain you for longer than a few hours, but is still great and definitely fun. F1 2013 is what F1 2012 should have been. There was just one thing that's partially ruined the experience for me, and that's when the game randomly crashed and corrupted my entire save file - though that's not a fault of this game itself, as it's a problem of multiple Codemasters' games running on the EGO engine and they were apparently too lazy to ever fix it. So, if you haven't had the chance to play F1 2013 yet, go play it. And back your save file up at times.

F1 2013 has a really steep learning curve.

The controls are not kind to players using a keyboard or an X-Box 360 controller. This game is really so focused on technicality that only supported top of the line steering wheel controllers will enable proper car control.

Players will be required to be really spot-on with car set-up and tyre choice to even stand a chance of being in the top 10.

This game is so nit-picky it has lost all the appeal that F1 GP2 (Geoff Crammond's game for the old 486 platform) had.

F1 2013 has supreme graphics, great sound and ultra-realism, but for me lacks the one true ingredient ... fun.

5/10

Doesn't really innovate much on the formula, so if you own f1 2012 I would buy 2014 or even 2015. However, I would reccomend it as an update from f1 2011 or before.

According to Steams Global Achievement stats for F1 2013 after over a year out:
Podium Finish
Finish a race in the top three in Career or Season Challenge: 12.2%

over 87% of f1 2013 owners have never placed 3rd or, heaven forbid, actually WON a race in the MAIN part of the game.. way to make a FUN game codemasters.

I've been playing F1 2013 for 10 months now, and I still find it as thrilling as I did when I first bought it. My enjoyment of the game could be mostly attirbuted to my online multiplayer experiences, especially league racing. My one issue with this game is the unchallenging AI. Initially, I felt as if the AI was way overpowered, as I was struggling to keep up with even the easiest setting. However, as I've developed my driving style and got a better feel for the handling of the cars, I've found even legendary difficulty a breeze. I hope that this issue can be fixed in F1 2014. That being said, I would still recommend that a first time player of F1 games at least try F1 2013, especially since it will be significantly cheaper than F1 2014, which comes out later this month. 8/10

You'll Deffilentely play the hell out of this game for a while. Just remember that if you are not willing to constantly be up to getting better and better in the career your not gonna get very far and get pretty bored pretty fast. I also reccomend watching some vids on how to start your carreeer and getting far in it. Understanding how it works and so on. If its on a sale BUY IT if its not then think about if you are going to really play it for its huge price tag. Thats all i've got to say and i bought it on a steam sale for VERY cheap so it was a good buy.

F1 2013 - the only way to drive insanely fast without the risk of injury, or a court appearance.

Hot graphics. Realistic feel. Cool gameplay variety. Racing-wheel ready. Pro commentary.

A quality racing game. The gameplay is spot on and the Classics mode is fantastic. Its a shame that it gets released so late in the year and doesn't offer updates to the rosters. If you see it go on sale, its worth picking up for the Classics mode alone, and you should be able to get it for a really good price considering the latest in the series just came out.
