About This Content

Create and control Sims by customizing everything from their appearances and personalities to their homes. Then send them off to university where they will enjoy new opportunities, like social connections and career growth. From class activities to major-specific objects, your Sim will find new ways to learn! And university isn’t just about hitting the books. Join a protest, flirt at a bonfire party—there’s a lot to explore outside of lectures at the student union. With new locations like the bowling alley and SimBurger to visit, and new activities like juice pong and spray painting murals to enjoy, your Sims are sure to have the time of their lives!

  • Major Excitement: Each major comes with its own special Sim enhancement. Play with an anatomically-correct skeleton as part of the Science and Medicine major, or broadcast a radio show with the Communications major.
  • Be the Big Sim On Campus: Joining a prominent social clique—Jock, Nerd, or Rebel—can lead to unique job specializations: Sports Agent, Video Game Designer, and Art Appraiser. But your Sim will have to work hard to rise to the top.
  • Master Procrastination: The surrounding town has a wealth of options for exploration and entertainment. Down java at Roasted Toasted Beans or argue superheroes at Keith’s Komics. Anything to avoid studying.

Make your Sim succeed and earn their degree with the highest honor, while you fail your courses and drop out of college drowning in debt because you spent all of your study time playing this game. 10/10 would play again. XD

This DLC is also quite fun. If you have some money and plan on buying Sims 3 DLCs, then this is the one to get right after Late Night. I highly recommend waiting until it's on sale, however.

It's alright. Not my favorite expansion, but definitely not the worst. There are some new social interactions between the sims which are fun. Some college themed furniture, but still very similar to the base game items. The introduction of social groups is a nice touch. There are fun things like having your sim stage a protest, spray painting buildings, and dumpster diving. I would have liked this expansion to be a bit crazier... It introduces some college themed parties, but it still ends up with sims just gathering together and kinda standing around aimlessly even if you have their free will on.

I recommend being cautious about how many credits you sign your sim up for in a term, otherwise you end up with your sim stuck at school all day and hardly any social interaction. I guess that's just like real life, haha!

So I created a household of 3 sims to send to college. I had one sim start a blog. Life was going good, until my roommates caused fires, and lots of them. I then had my sim fall in love with a firefighter and then the three sims went home, but they couldn't contact their boyfriends (all 3 of them are girls), which sucked. When I got my sims out to the real world, they started working and their "house" was just a bed and a science machine, so, back to college! The whole time my sims were there they were keeping up on academics and maintaining their needs. On other profiles, with sims in college, they could never get stuff from coffee shops and my same old roommates in Malan Hall were geniuine pyromaniacs. The often crazy, cramped schedule sends my sims home with low needs. I would recommend sending your sim around with candy bars and if you have generations or island paradise, give them a sleeping bag or tent, so that way they can maintain their most crucial needs between classes. I had fun with my sims at college, sending them to parties and maintaing blog posts and academic studies, but it wasn't really everything the trailer advertised. Also, it was insane, trying to get plantsims, but in the end I got 3. So I guess I would recommend this. Just remember that candy bar trick.

Very, very fun but to be honest sometimes it does get a little boring, mostly just classes, studying, and all that kind of stuff, but that is what the game is all about :) I would definately recommend this, at first I thought it would be super boring but it turned out really fun :)

    Sims 3: University Life

This is fun if you do not plan to have a family to begin with. I would strongly suggest not make more than one sim to start with. It is really fun if you want to meet new sims quickly. I would suggest this to people who want to make their sim(s) party all night and sleep in the day, or study 24/7. Its a fun game after youve got a good idea of where you need to go everyday.

Tell your friends to get steam if they dont have it already, so they can play this game

The game in itself is fun. New content. As this is my very first expansion pack in Sims 3. New two skills. New reputation added from university life. (New actions to obtain rep in a certain group) House parties are insane depending on the group you join up with. New shops in the University world. I did enjoy my time but read further. Before you do, I still will play the game but I am going to start a legacy family (google this). Just, remember to always save seperate files on big events during the game :).

As you download expansions you may face some conflict. I faced the conflict of my very own sim not being apart of her family anymore by a small glitch that I don't know I received. She couldn't even interact with others BUT once she came back to the household after her semester ended she was able to but no family connection but the relationships she had with the sim were restored besides the family connection. YOU MUST NOT QUIT MIDWAY THROUGH UNIVERSITY. You could face a glitch in where you may have an F even if you graduate. You'd have to download a mod.

Great DLC! A week is one term which you can use to study, go to class, party (which you will get plenty of invites to), sleep, or go hard at school with studying and going to class :0. Whichever you choose will ultimately decide your grade for your end term. Simple as that well built in my opinion hours of fun! Just getting back into sims and very glad I did!

Trailer is full of dead memes.
Has a bed your sim can get stuck in, suffocate and die. (Or just a get a phobia)
    Portable Laptops
    Sketch book

    That's really it.

I was excited to get this game because the trailer shows alot of people studying outside, people in the swimming team, cool looking dorms, and alot of other cool stuff... but it has NOTHING it shows on it. The dorms are boring and dull, nobody studys outside and plays games, and there is no swimming team! Here are some glitches too... Everybody gets stuck outside the doors, when you wake up out of bed you get stuck and cant move for like 10 minuets (sims minuets), and you cant go inside another friends dorm if you are invited or just want to go in. This is so bad, I have to write a negetive review to the game I love the most. Don't buy this, its a waste of 20 DOLLARS.

Its a great university experiance and in many ways like what you hear college is like and even simular to many of my own experiances. The main differences is that there is normally more od a divide in school between groups once you've established being with one its harder to be with another. In this you can reach 10 in more then one group at least when going by the npc which isn't that realistic.

It takes a little bit to figure out the how to to Ace everything in fact i failed all in my first week the second week onwards I got the deans list and it became a bit dull from there. There are few variations of parties and while you will be called up alot and can have your romantic affairs. On the great side of things do well in college and you can get up to 5000 simlons every few days which really helped both during college and when it was over.

I got an A for my diploma and was mildly disapoointed about there not being more effects or actions that went along with it though I do get to hang it on the wall if I choose to. A somewhat offical printable looking degree would have been a nice touch at the end.

However despite what it doesn't do and how my house mates kept catching the place on fire. It did get me a much better paying job then I had before leaving for college and the funds I got while there were plenty to immediantly go again or to buy one of the businesses. So it did save me a lot of time so overall I would say that I would recommend it because it does give you that univerity experiance even if its only a basic one.

its a great game but bad for its glitches. i have to cope with a broken mailbox where if you try to collect mail they just teleport a few feet away and all actions they had qued deleted. this wouldnt be a problem if i didnt have generations. why? how am i suppposed to collect my imaginary freind from the mail when the mail box is broken? i tried using the debug menu to fix it but it broke when i had another baby and another imaginary freind to collect. i dont like having to delete my save just to get a few hours of a decent mailbox only for it to break again after said few hours. other glitches included : plant growing to harvest but then never being able to be harvested (bummed me out when i was growing a plant sim)
then the entire people just stopping in their tracks standing still not ever moving. one time i did get one where i couldnt click on my sim everything else i could but not my sim. now above all this you want to know where these glitches happen? in starlight shores. so its even worse if i want to be singer or anything else there

I was having an absolute blast with this game... until I couldn't leave University. I tried every solution I could find on the internet, but everything failed. I put a lot of time and effort into my sim (I've played for much longer on origin) and am very frustrated by this known bug. It's a great game, I would actually recommend it as long as the player knows of this problem.
