Awesome expansion. Makes the game a lot more dynamic and interesting! I like the new actions, activities, clothing and more that are included. The seasonal festivals are a lot of fun, and the alien abductions are... a strange feature in this particular expansion, but I love it!
This and Pets are the first two expansions I would recommend for the Sims 3.

First things First, Don't get me wrong I love this E.P

Gives fantastic variety to everday Sim life, Adds in events and activities not seen before in the Base Game.
I love the aspects of Winter and Summer etc andIt makes for a lot more realism and you even have to dress accordingly to temperatures etc.

However...... If Your Sim is an Outdoors type.... BEWARE

I have my Seasons set to full 28 day length and ALL Options activated (Rain, Hail, Fog, Snow etc) as i dont see the point in getting an expansion then disabling half the options........

Basck on topic..... If Your Sim is Outdoor type Beware as it Rains, and it Rains, and it F@ck%ng Rains. And then it Rains again.

The ONLY time it went 2 days without rain was during Winter.... in which it Snowed.

Oh and by the way your plants will not grow in ALL of Winter and on some colder days in Fall and Spring.
Some /Most will even need to be disposed of and replaced after winter as they still grow but do not bear fruit

Sims outdoors in Rain will need an umbrella, or they will end up soaked, It can really make enjoying regular outdoor fun difficult.
Though if your Sim loves curling up inside watching TV or Writng Books or Painting etc then all is fine, as Personally I myself love warm indoors on a nice rainy day.

Found it odd that no matter how many jackets and gloves and wooly hats my Sim wore (Outerwear) he still suffered cold and was warned to get indoors.

Clothing also gets a bit Glitchy as your Sim will often automatically select Outerwear on cold days but then once indoors may randomly end up in Unerwear or Swimwear and then try to go to bed in Work Clothes etc.

All in All a very worthy E.P just be prepared to either take it as it comes or pointlessly disable half of the options you just paid to buy.

7/10

Would be higher if it weren't for the seemingly endless rain.

Honestly it raind for at least 80% of the days it isnt snowing.

Winter.
I'd honestly get this pack just for winter.
Besides that, it adds the most and feels nice and fleshed out.

Honestly, the only reason I'm recommending this is because seasons should've been implemented in the base game, but because EA likes to squeeze as much money out of you as possible, it's not.

Why are aliens in this expansion pack? No clue. If it isn't your thing then you don't have to worry about it too much, but if you like it then that is a whole new element to explore.

Seasons is probably my favorite expansion pack (Pets being a close second) just for making the game more realistic. Your kids can get snow days, Sims can get sunburns, you celebrate a holiday each season (ones very similar to our own), allergies and the flu can affect you, etc...

Overall, this expansion pack is a huge leap forward for this game. After you get it, you'll wonder how you played without Seasons in the first place and didn't get bored.

I love this EP because you cant have seasons without it. But one thing I would watch out for is that when I and a lot of other people bought this game it created a startup problem, how I fixed this is I went to Google and searched on how to fix this, then I went to the sims3.com website info page they had. If this does happen to you good luck! If not have fun playing this AWESOME EP!

The Sims 3 is a great game. I only have one expansion, but so far Seasons has been great. Unfortunately, because of Steam's stupid law, I had to buy it twice because the disc version wouldn't work. Seasons is definitely an interesting expansion, maybe not worth 20$ though. It adds, of course, the four seasons. In a household of eight, I found that there wasn't much to do. I visited the summer festival and was a little confused, but once I participated (and won) the eating contest I fell in love with the festival. I went roller skating as well. I used my tickets to buy some fireworks, but when I started it in my front yard, it blew up and left a black scorch mark on the grass.....One of my Sims was abducted by an alien when she was investigating something. At first I thought it was a rainbow, but then I was like, aliens! I've heard your male Sims can have baby alien specimens placed inside them....creepy. There are a few new Traits and activities like Water Balloon Fights and Snowball Fights. The Online Dating feature was very interesting and useful too. The holidays are really cool, although I was a little shocked that you skip work/school on that day. Each season is one week, so you are skipping one fifth of your work if you have two days off. In winter there are also snow days for school (removes all school in winter) but they are really glitchy and the school bus will still come. Altogether I would say it is worth the money, although it doesn't change the game drastically, only adding realism and ambient effects like rain and seasons.

How My Game Went:

First Thoughts: I've heard that this is the best expansion pack, but dosen't it only add seasons?

1. Creates new game. Makes a bachelor dressed fabulosly in a Hotdog suit.

2.Starts in fall. Immediately walks to to town festival. Goes into haunted house and becomes a ghost.

3. Its Night-time now, so I slowly walk home.

4. Around 3 AM, sparkles in the sky greet me. Sim goes out to investigate. Sim then gets abducted.

5. An hour later, the sim comes back, with an abducted moodlet. I then try to wait it out.

6. After it is waited out, he rapidly gains weight over a period of 3 days with an "Unexpected Weight Gain" moodlet.

7. On the third day the sim has an action where he looks like he is having an anurisim and diahrrea at the same time.

8. Male hot-dog sim gives birth to alien baby. Raises alien baby untill its freezes outside during the winter. Sim ironically burns to death during the summer.

9. Takes off headset, and walks away from computer, to the window. Sees flashing lights in the sky, and promptly runs into cellar. Turned out to be a helicopter.

Warning: Title "Seasons" is extremely deciving

Not what I expected, but 11/10, Would have sim probed again.

Best DLC for the Sims 3 that I have yet to play. Seasons introduces summer, fall, winter and spring, snowmans, seasonal fairs at the park, and even alien abductions (what does that have to do with seasons? idk....). Don't stay out in the sun or you get sunburned. Don't stay out in the cold or you freeze to death. The fun just keeps going on and on.

It is NOT, however, worth twenty bucks! Buy this when it goes on sale, don't waste a $20 on any of these expansions. They are horribly over priced.

This is one of the best expansions I've ever had, the other being Generations. I had the same problem at first, where the game would not show up, but I just reloaded the game and there it was! There's not that many new clothing options except for outerwear, but that's alright! The seasonal festivals are really fun and all sorts of season-related activites are here! The game didn't turn my computer into dust like I thought it would. It handled snow quite smoothly, but rain went okay. I don't know about fog or hail because I didn't try them. Trick-or-treating doesn't always work out but that's what the vending machines from UL are for. I wish Grasshopper Pie was possible to bake. This game is amazing and brought, surprisingly, an even better experience than TS2. I would totally recommend this game, and if possible make it your first expansion pack. I have never had so much fun in my life. (P.S.: Get a huge household and a lot with a bunch of trees, so in fall you can have a rake-a-thon :) )

If you want weather, seasons, seasonal festivals and aliens in your town, this is the expansion for you. Like all Sims expansions it's not worth $20, so wait for it to go on sale. The only downside I can think of is if you have an older/slower computer you'll have noticeably more lag.

Very fun, but had to update to install. Fun to play but you have to be careful in diffrent seasons (like don't stay in the cold or heat too long). Great game! Recommend to all sims players!

Probably the best expansion pack for Sims 3. I would buy it before Showtime or Supernatural.

I'd say it's the best DLC for The Sims 3. Gives a nice nuance, and frankly, makes the game much more natural and realistic. A lot of new activities and suitable fashion for each season, and recurring holidays. So if you have to buy only one, make it this one!
