About This Game

Brink is an immersive first-person shooter that blends single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay into one seamless experience, allowing you to develop your character whether playing alone, with your friends, or against others online. You decide the combat role you want to assume in the world of Brink as you fight to save yourself and mankind’s last refuge. Brink offers a compelling mix of dynamic battlefields, extensive customization options, and an innovative control system that will keep you coming back for more.

Brink takes place on the Ark, a man-made floating city that is on the brink of all-out civil war. Originally built as an experimental, self-sufficient and 100% “green” habitat, the reported rapid rise of the Earth’s oceans has forced the Ark to become home to not only the original founders and their descendants but also to thousands of refugees. With tensions between the two groups growing, Security and Resistance forces are locked in a heated battle for control of the Ark. Which side will you choose?

KEY FEATURES:

  • Not Just Another Hero – Brink's advanced player customization offers a near-endless combination of looks for your character – allowing for the appearance of your character to be truly unique. As you progress through the game and acquire more experience, you’ll have even more opportunities for customization.
  • Two Sides to Every Story – Choose to fight through the single player campaign as either a member of the Resistance or the Security and then take your same character online to play cooperatively or competitively against other players.
  • Blurring the Lines – Take your unique character online at any time you choose! Brink allows you to seamlessly move between your single player campaign, co-op with friends, and intense multiplayer action. Multiplayer takes the story online where you can play with up to seven other people (or AI characters) cooperatively as you take on the opposing faction or with up to 16 players competitively.
  • Play SMART – Brink uses the familiar shooter controls that you’re used to, without frustrating, artificial constraints and adds a new feature: the SMART button. When you press the SMART button, the game dynamically evaluates where you’re trying to get to, and makes it happen. Whether you’re a seasoned FPS veteran or someone just getting started, you’ll be able to make more intelligent decisions during the fast-paced action with SMART.
  • Context-Sensitive Goals and Rewards - Objectives, communications, missions, and inventory selection are all dynamically generated based on your role, your condition, your location, your squad-mates, and the overall status of the battle in all gameplay modes. You’ll always know exactly where to go, what to do when you get there, and what your reward will be for success.

Brink is the kind of game you'd seen making gargling noises and waving it's gigantic shlong at the checkout desk in sainsburys. Part of you just wants to tell it to shut the ♥♥♥♥ up and leave you alone but the other half makes you want to join it and dickslap the bag boy so he resembles Simon Cowell's jaded face after he burnt down the twenty-seventh orphanage this month.

This game is beyond the most strategic and action-packed arena game as of late. Indeed the characters are curiously modeled, but it's just Brink's unique graphics. No other arena game- save perhaps Halo Reach, has such a multitude of combinations to create a truly unique character.
I suppose there may not be anymore dedicated servers, I've never noticed a different between them and private hosted servers, which Brink has.
If you haven't bought the game; buy it. And if you own it, join the Brink universe again, get it back on it's feet.
Call of Duty has an impressive arsenal, sure, but there's absolutely no strategy involved, and I'm not certain as I've given up on that franchise, but as far as I'm concerned doesn't have character customizations, as with Brink, your character evolves as you progress.
And the combat, with some games it's too complex, or the game itself pratically fights for you, but with Brink you have inumerable ways to approach a firefight, with inumerable guns, and as a character with no equal.

A game that I hyped up to all my friends for several months prior to release. They got a lot of things right. They certainly had the e-sports scene covered with a well polished interface and flawless steam integration. However, the gameplay itself was lacking. Certain aspects of the game seemed more like a chore than enjoyment. For example, all of the classes required you to be right next to your teamate in order to heal them or provide them additional ammo. This is a problem when everyone is running all over the place in a combat situation. Battlefield's approach of simply dropping a medkit container or ammo supply box was much more enjoyable. The weapons were uninteresting and the pace of the game was far too slow to really capture anyones attention.

For all that hipsters and cynics love to mock it, we owe a lot to Brink. It was Brink that set the benchmark for how shooters looked and played in the HD era. It was Brink that redefined the FPS as all-action blockbuster, while transforming multiplayer.

The premise is interesting, albeit faintly ridiculous. In the near future a new power – The Federation – rises in South America and its influence begins to spread across the world. Federation forces attack a US orbital weapon and turn its weapons of mass destruction against the US, blasting half of the states back into the stone age and putting an end to North American dominance of the region.

Brink's one shining aspect is SMART (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain). Using SMART, holding a single button lets you navigate up walls, over obstacles, and through the game world. Depending on your body size, you can do more or less with movement, but overall this finesse is fantastic. Nothing in Brink feels quite as good as sliding under gunfire into someone, taking them out with a shotgun.

Brink is by far the worst ♥♥♥♥ing game my friends have ever played!

7/10 A Masterpiece.

I have a controversial opinion about this game
It seems that there are dynamics of battle, and like it is not.
Brink does not have enough speed, the speed of the gameplay.
I understand that this is a port of the game with the PS3 and xbox360, but why so few options ...
Brink can not be called ''perfect game for qick 420 blaze it qick scope'' etc.
Pluses + :
• Awesume history and adventure.
• Decent test system with stars passing ★★★
• Good game design (If it would be more game details, then maps be great)
• Wonderful OST and audio part of the game.
Defects - :
• Graphics for the 2011 years is nice, there weapons drawn perfectly, but when before you fly like a piece of pomegranate fuzzy soap impression that shet texture painted 6 years ago.
• Physics in Brink just puzzles many concepts of physics, such as a = (v₁ - v₀) / m the acceleration of gravity, then grenades and other flying wherever he wants.
• Bad online make this game so lonely...
♦ Outcome ♦
•This game deserves the attention of those people who like something non-standard.
One play will be boring after 2-3 hours of passing the mission.
There is something from the game The Club.
Console players will feel right at home here.

First time I played it, I was like SWEET THIS IS FUN....now I continue to see it in my library mocking me as servers lay empty and dead....as well as major bugs still exist in the game... Some day my CPU teammates will figure out how to build that bridge instead of jumping to their deaths and when that day comes then I shall rule the world of brink.

Save your money...like serious save it... wait until it hits the clearance bin.

The game I played was not the one I thought I had purchased. I was told I was buying a cooperative shooter like Left 4 Dead, but with customizable characters and gear. What I got was a Team Fortress 2 ripoff where you can replace one team with a pile of idiot bots, and a painfully grindy progression.

Enjoyed my time with Brink, gameplay great but it feels like half a game not sure why but just feels soo unfinished. The gameplay is great, the guns pathetic (only a couple feel any good), the parkour elements feel great and there was always room on the 2 servers that were up. The 16 people who used to play this game were always pleasant aswell, oh and the cap on unlocks wasn't sure why other games don't tend to do that, brink taught me why.
