Scavenger Hunt
  • Looters now spawn with 1/2 Attributes when the Infection Level is 5/10 and higher
    • Defense Attribute + 1 Random Attribute
  • Hoarders now spawn with 1 Attribute at Infection Level 12 and higher
  • Hoarder respawn timer is no longer reset upon reaching end game (night time)
  • Looters now always spawn at a minimum in-game level of 3
  • Barricade Run
    • The Roaming spawns before each barricade should now have a 100% spawn rate and should consist of the same type of zombies for all teams
      • Note that special type of zombies that spawn during the Barricade Event can still be random
      • Note that there can be a difference in number of "static" walkers on the way to the barricade (walkers that are sitting, eating, etc)
  • A team can no longer overload their trucks with supplies. Players will be unable to deliver more supplies and flags will stop generating supplies once a truck is full.
    • You will be able to deliver supplies and flags will start generating supplies again If another team denies victory by stealing supplies
    • This change will make it impossible for another team to deliver more supplies than the winning team during the countdown - Reaching the supply limit first is still the victory condition
  • Base Turrets attack range slightly increased
  • XP Table has changed
  • XP granted from hoarders are now based on a static value

Scavenger Expedition Map
  • Paths leading up to hoarders have been slightly reworked

Kill-Feel Updates
  • Players now uses rag-dolls similar to zombies to enhance the effect of dealing a killing blow
  • A "gravestone" effect spawns on the location where a player dies. Standing near the gravestone will allow you to resurrect the player.
  • First Player who kills an enemy player is awarded with "First Blood"
  • Killing several players in quick succession awards
    • Double Kill
    • Triple Kill
    • Quadruple Kill
    • Penta Kill
    • Monster Kill
  • Killing 4 Players without dying awards Killing Spree

Scoresystem Update
  • Scoreboard now display damage done in Scavenger/Crossroads
  • Scoreboard now display healing done in Scavenger/Crossroads
  • Scoreboard now display "Takedowns" instead of Player Kills. Takedowns is a combined value of Kills and Assists (in Scavenger)
    • By assisting another player on your team you are rewarded with a Takedown.
    • Assist will count:
      • if you are nearby when a player on your team struck the killing blow
      • If you dealt damage to a player killed by an ally within a certain time-frame
      • If you healed/buffed the player who struck the killing blow
  • Scoreboard now displays score. Score is awarded when performing certain actions in Scavenger Hunt
  • Hovering damage/healing/takedowns/score displays details about this value in a tooltip

HUD
  • HUD has gotten a facelift. Most HUD elements have been updated with new art and new design
  • Level Up system has been updated to better relay information about each upgrade and to make in-game levels more obvious
  • A buffbar has been implemented displaying passive effects, buffs and debuffs.
  • A new statistics screen has been implemented displaying stats and perks in-game (Default bound to the hotkey 'V')

Characters
Armored Amber
  • Focus now properly increases damage output of Infested Minion.
  • Updated character roles (In Crib) for several characters
  • Additional voices has been implemented for several characters

Crib
  • Weapon tooltips now compares your currently equipped weapon with the weapon you are hovering.
  • An additional character tab has been implemented displaying a summary of a character's different qualities and an expected play-difficulty
  • Item Info - Right Windows
  • All window types now rescaled to have the same size on the item-display part (top half)
    • New background added to the Item-Display
  • Reward window
    • Flow for daily rewards reworked.

Starter Quest Changes
  • Steps lowered to 5
    • 1. Play Scout

  • Steps can now be played in any order

  • Players are now invulnerable for 2.5s in Crossroads after respawning

Co-Operate or Compete


It's you versus them. Or you versus them versus them versus them.

We’ve got two core modes – either team up with 3 other survivors and take on the zombie menace together in PvE co-op Crossroads mode, or take the fight to other players in our three-team "PvPvPvE" Scavenger mode where you'll battle it out in a competition to grab supplies, hold key points, outsmart the competition and blast through hordes of zombies.



Fight for your survival in our PvE-mode Crossroads. You set up camp in the morning and carry out four different missions over the course of a day in ever-changing maps and mission types. The missions range from freeing trapped characters and gathering supplies, to fighting off hordes of zombies or defeating bosses. Zombies have different attributes and change the way you fight them: From range-damage resistant to faster running, harder hitting zombies - you will have to adapt how you fight the virus.
Crossroads also rewards and tracks your performance, scaling the difficulty of the next mission accordingly.


“The enemy of my enemy is my friend” – at least for a while

Epidemic’s PvP-mode pits three teams of 4 players each against each other in zombie-infested maps. The third team adds a new dynamic to this competitive mode and requires you to re-think your winning strategy: Do you build up enough of a lead to win before you are being dismantled by two teams? Or do you play it smart and align your goals with one of the adversary teams temporarily? The goal is to capture and hold strategic points and gather as many resources as possible to be victorious.

Combat




Take direct control of your character with the WASD keys plus mouse input and react to situations on the fly by switching between melee and ranged weapons.



Build and adjust weapons to your playstyle:

  • Earn blueprints from six different categories and build your weapon arsenal
  • Most weapons come with unique features and fit a specific role
  • You also earn weapon modifications which can be installed on to your weapons and add various attributes



From rotund, fanny-pack wearing badass tourists to redheads wielding weaponized crabs – and everything in between. Epidemic has a constantly expanding roster of unlikely heroes supporting varying play styles - whether you like your action up-close and personal, at range or through supporting your teammates.
Each character has an array of (often very bizarre) skills with which to wreak havoc - use these strategically in order to inflict maximum punishment on both the undead and those-you-want-to-be-dead.

Divertente, divertente, divertente, divertente!

Lati negativi:
- il Single-Player non è altro che un tutorial composto da pochissime missioni
- le partite in PvP sono decisamente poco equilibrate! Le squadre sono miste ma può succedere di beccare una squadra di ultramegafantastipro e una di ultrameganabbi

Lati positivi:
- grafica semplice e cartoonesca ma maledettamente gradevole e dettagliata
- gioco abbastanza leggero anche per un pc non molto performante
- PvP comunque divertente (ma vi prego miglioratelo xD)
- missioni Co-Op: sono il fulcro di questo gioco e sono a dir poco stupende, soprattutto quando nella squadra c'è collaborazione
- possibilità di craftarsi le armi
- crafting semplice ed immediato
- gioco costantemente aggiornato
- difficoltà nel PvE graduale con fattore divertimento direttamente proporzionato (in breve: è divertente xD)
- comandi semplici ed intuitivi
- server quasi mai laggosi
- matchmaking praticamente immediato (tempo di attesa medio 11 secondi)

Per concludere: Dead Island Epidemic merita un bel 9/10! Estremamente consigliato

My first impression of the game was it seemed too cliche as there are so many zombie-related videgames in the market nowadays. However, you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

I love this game simply because it has both co-op and PVP modes; something that always draws me in a game. Since it's still in beta mode, I cannot wait to play the actual finished product. So far I've had tons of fun, and it's always nice to level up and gain items for your character/s.

My only concern is that this game probably won't be as much fun as it is for me if you don't have someone to play it with (as with most games, really). Also, since it probably doesn't have a large demographic yet, sometimes the queue takes a while.

Overall, I would recommend this game to everyone who likes killing zombies with friends really.

Some people hate it, others love it: I count myself to the latter group, because DI:E offers quick matches, long-term motivation to craft new weapons and it gets quite challenging once you reach a certain level. It's both free and still in beta, so we get to see some nice patches in the future. Unlocking new characters needs quite some farming, but hopefully the prices will drop partially. So why not recommend it? Crafting a level 15 weapon would take around 10 hours of farming in PvE, whereas you could simply buy it with real money for less than 5€. Sounds fair? Not at all. Thanks for the 50 hours of free entertainment, but that's all I will spent in DI:E for now...

Very fun and addicting game. It has changed A LOT since i started playing. Some for better, some for worse. But considering how it's still in BETA, I have even more faith that the game will only continue to improve. For anyone who says it's "pay to win" is a liar. They made their micro transactions very balanced and it is more than possible to become as powerful as you can get without spending a penny (like me). Let's go over some Pros/Cons.

Pros:
1.Fun and addicting, easy to learn
2.Balanced progression that is steady and doesn't hit a wall very often
3.PVE and PVP modes offering tons of different play styles
4.Several characters that are all balanced in their own fun and interesting ways
5.Tons of weapons and weapon mods to suit anyone's play style
6.Varying difficulties to suit you current level

Cons:
1.PVP is NOT noob friendly and low level players often screw over the high level ones
2.Matchmaking system is still rather garbage at times
3.Not too many characters are viable in PVP
4.The fact that an extremely low level player can still join high difficulties....... (FIX THIS)
5.The occasional lag spikes that are completely server related (this may be fixed soon)

All in all, I highly recommend!!! Have fun slaying zombies

i really enjoyed this game lots of fun nice and fast paced, only thing bothering me tho is the end game scoring system in which i had noticed players who have started a game and disconnected wil win the match compared to others overall great game keep up the great work

Have to say I love this game.

This game has a very high impact on player skill. People say play 2 win, but then again, people don't really understand the P2W term. If you take a bad player and give them crap and they become op, then fine, P2W. I've only purchased an additional character and still can be top on the zombie kill ratio. I haven't seen any of the P2W guys out there in the many many matches I've done so far.

Anything that you can buy you can also get just from playing. So if you don't want to spend money to advance, then fine, just requires a few more hours of playing.

Now, that also being said I don't really do the pvp right now. I'm sure you can face abit more formidable people in there. I've tried it one match and didn't really die over and over, but wasn't on the top team either.

In the end, enjoy the game for what it is. If you've come here for fantastic graphics and a good story, then look elsewhere. But if you just want to fight with monsters, zombies, and other players, for a completely free and addicting game, then you've found a good spot.

Very cool game, I do wish it was a regular, pay $19 bucks and play everything, but at least at level 10 I haven't had to spend a dime and already have a few hours into it. I can see that probably changing, but so far, its been a blast, they mixed a few genre's together. I haven't done the PvP yet, I heard the match making takes a bit, but PvE has been fine.

If nothing else give yourself a cool 5 hour treat for free!

I'll still leave it at a thumbs up, but it is getting really grindy after a while. There isn't enough gear, or enough variety, the stuff doesn't work differently enough, and it needs better pacing. I even had some of the bonus exp stuff from starting off, and it was still slow going and very repetative. This only has longevity through the grind if you have friend playing it, and if you, then you may enjoy it longer.

It is a really good game but the have to elimiate the 'Crib' window, everytime the game finish and goes to the Crib window it uses the Game Window resolution and can only see a part of the screen and to fix it i have to close the game, it is a bother.
