Multiplayer Game Modes:
Skirmish --- Five objectives that can be secured to prolong your team’s survival. Each objective that is secured provides your team with an additional reinforcement wave. However, each team has a weapons cache objective that when destroyed will cut off this reinforcement gain. Matches often become an epic tug of war as both teams struggle to gain control of objective areas and cut the opposing team’s supplies. The balance of momentum easily shifts based upon a team’s strategy, where a crucial flanking maneuver can lead your team to a swift victory.
VIP --- One team must escort their VIP player to the extraction point. Both teams only have one life per round, so coordination is paramount. The VIP is only armed with a silenced pistol, but can pick up a weapon from a fallen enemy or teammate.
Strike --- This attack and defend mode has three weapons caches that must be discovered and destroyed. Blowing up a cache brings additional reinforcement and time for the attackers, while the defenders lose a reinforcement wave.
Search & Destroy --- Identical to Strike’s objectives, however both teams only respawn when a cache is destroyed.
Firefight --- Three territorial objectives, one for each team, plus one neutral. A team only respawns when an objective is secured. A skilled team can win a match by eliminating their opponent in less than one minute, so every life counts.
Cooperative Game Modes
Checkpoint --- Complete mission-based objectives in sequence against AI enemy. Each successful objective will respawn anyone who was eliminated along the way.
Outpost --- Survive endless waves of swarming enemy attacking your team’s location.
Classic Game Modes
The popular modes Push and Battle are featured on ported versions of the original mod’s maps, including Buhriz and others in progress.

So i played 31 hours in the past 5 days. This is THE BEST multiplayer only first person shooter i have ever played. I loved it years ago as a mod (and still do), and i love it now in early access. The way it plays is completely original with the fun and intense gamemodes that just dont exist in any other games. If you find a good squad (and team) the game gets really fun and intense. The voice chat is also awesome since everyone, including the enemy, can hear you from a realistic distance, and then when you get out of voice range your squad members can talk to you over the radio. Overall, this game is worth way more than 60 bucks, and you can get it for 20. So get it. Now. Hurry. Do it. Come on. Stop reading and buy it already. Whats wrong with you, why dont you listen?

Some people just haven't experienced FPS. Realism?.........Some people are wanting this nowadays. If you are one of those hardcore, patient, tactical and competitive FPS players, Insurgency can tide you over. I wouldn't believe it is quite as addicting as your typical shooter, but you will be more satisfied, I promise you. And this game would be one of my closest FPS titles to Realism. This game will punish you to an extent where waiting and peaking around a corner can be more satisfying then doing the same old stabby stabby in TF2. This game runs fine while also having decent graphics. The lack of UI....The fact that reloading isn't automatic.....The crazy recoil....The Slow Pace........All those make this game good, rather than bad. Of course though, when I write this, the game would have still been in Beta so many things are subject to change. I wonder why this game isn't as popular as it should be. Realism? This is the closest your gonna get.

this game is great! even though it is in alpha it really isnt. the graphics, gameplay is fantastic. I have yet to play a game where everyone is seriously working together to complete objectives. The maps are really great no map feels unbalanced and the game modes are fun and intense. This game has a ton of HOLY CRAP moments such as watching your teammate get shot down try to sprint and slide to cover, when your pin down your vision is reduced to nothing, or when your about to go cap a point and C4 explodes infront of you or a building is cleared out with C4. Guns have a great feel to the point where hip firing feels so good and accurate. $20 for this game is fair I would say about 8 game modes, 8 maps just dont expect a ton of full servers. As of now there are always 2 servers that have 24-30 players each and several co-op servers that are always full.

An excellent hardcore game, I recommend it to anyone looking for a realistic and intense shooter. Working with your teammates is vital to your success and you have to approach your missions with caution. I recommend playing this game with a good pair of headphones, it makes the experience more rich and exciting.
