2 SIDES, 12 NATIONS, 750 UNITS: THE STRATEGY GAME REFERENCE IS BACK!

Richer, more beautiful and more accessible, Wargame AirLand Battle is the sequel to the explosive real-time strategy game Wargame European Escalation!

1985. After several months of tension between NATO and the Warsaw Pact, an incident in the North Sea suddenly sets the world on fire, starting an all-out war.

With the arrival of air forces, select from a phenomenal array of 750 units (including tanks, planes, helicopters, and infantry) to build your army. Engage in spectacular battles with unmatched strategic depth, on huge battlefields as large as 150km², powered by a new graphics engine.

Impressive in solo play, Wargame AirLand Battle is even more engaging online. The game features ultra-complete multiplayer modes, where up to 20 players do battle simultaneously!

Realistic, immersive, diverse and simply so much fun.
There are so many ways that you can play this game and so many different kinds of units for you to master in controlling. Playing with or against friends in multiplayer is especially fun, with endless possiblities and intense combat. if you know how to use your units wisely you can destroy your opponents without losing a piece, if you don't you lose everything without killing anything.

Requires time investment in studying units but once you get into it, you will be amazed

Very good game, especially for strategic geeks. It's complex game with tons of cold war equipment. Icing on the cake is multiplayer mode with pretty live community - I stronglly recommended that piece of art !!

Great job with the antipiracy, I can almost complete 50 percent of LAN games before online disconnect. Makes multiplayer pointless. It’s a very good game that is unusable because of this

If you get this game, be prepared to do a lot of Google searches to figure out how anything works, because there is no in-game help whatsoever. No tutorial (the so-called tutorial is just an easy mission with literally no explanation of anything), no tooltips, not even a list of controls. You have to use Google just to learn the controls! And when you do, you will find that there are some commands that, after 2 years, no one knows what they do. The game is THAT opaque.

PROS: Incredible-looking modern combat simulation. You can zoom from a mile up, viewing the whole battlefield, all the way down to ground level, seeing it from the eyes of the soldiers, which is very useful for determining lines of sight. If you've been looking for a modern successor to Close Combat 2: A Bridge Too Far or Close Combat 3: The Russian Front, this is it.

CONS: Total disrespect toward new players, not just from other players but from the company itself. If your idea of a challenge is taking hours to figure out something they could have told you in 5 seconds, this game's for you.

This game does a great job of being practical, authentic and extremely difficult.

If you're into military sim and RTS this is the one. If you're into Guy Fieri, this probably isn't for you.

Coming from being a console gamer with a obsession with RTS, this game blew my mind. Best strategy game ive ever played, super realistic, I always love improving my decks and strategies. Gotta love Stealth Bombers.

The only con I have is that is crashes suprisingly often if you do anything else. Alt-TAB? Crash, somone disconnected from the game due to sudden loss of connection? Crash. And the thing that annoys me most is most of these crashes arent just crashes, they force you to restart your computer, task manager will not shut the game down to allow you to relaunch it. Even after months of these same crashes, its still not fixed.

again, not too common, but when it happens its very frustrating. Even with the issue its not even close enough to prevent me from playing the game often and enjoying it.

The game looks somewhat complex, however practicing a while before playing multiplayer is really recommended. Good graphics and commands for RTS' games. I really recommend it.

Watched an entire unit of Soviet made T-34-85s modernized get butchered apart by a basic AI armed with French main battle tanks in basic configuration after charging down a central road on the map, then returned the favor by calling in enough air support to make the Luffwaffe envious on their units, and the matche ended with both sides in smoldering ruins.

10/10, Would employ Soviet tactics again.

Nice looking game but annoying controls and camera views. Very frustrating on single player as the computer is too hard to beat. Definitely not developed for solo play as the AI is cheating. Seems like the programming is not thorough enough to make it fair for human player in a fog of war aspect, as the AI knows where all your units are and can deploy counter measures way too quickly. Recon unit stealth is a joke. Multiplayer is fun if you can find gamers online. Realism is average. Only buy this game on sale to get most value.

AirLand is a highly time consuming, and addicting RTS. Not so much in the battles themselves, but in designing army types. From armoured columns to air forces, the customisation of your "deck" of units is mind boggling.

The battles in and of themselves are simple enough in their objectives, however the outcome will depend heavily on tactical thinking. Classic military strategy pays dividends, using infrantry and support (be it artillery in the form of rockets, howitzers and mortars, or light vehicles) as an anvil, and MBT's, ground attack aircraft and assault helicopters as the hammer. However, the incredible variety of units can be used to great effect in less conventional ways. Inserting commando squads (which vary by the 12 nations) to systematically remove your enemies' anti-air capabilities, followed by saturation carpet bombing by low level attack planes, can be very effective.

In the end, the tactics of each player will vary wildly depending on thier choice of units and nation.

As for the games requirements and such:

A touch of a memory hog, though there is a lot of game here. Not too hard to run in very pretty settings, and easy to pick up and play, assuming you have some grasp of military tactics and equipment. A good singleplayer experience to be sure, but the game shines most in multiplayer, when coordinating with your allies in calculated joint attacks.

Better than most, Wargame is a solid RTS, well worth buying, especially if on sale.
