Train Simulator: Hamburg Hanover Route kopen

Over deze content

The route from Hamburg to Hanover in Germany is one of the most important railway lines in Lower Saxony, running from the state capital of Hanover to Germany’s second largest city, Hamburg, and now you can take control of your own high speed passenger train on this arterial route in Train Simulator.

The main section of the route from Celle to Harburg opened on 1 May 1847. Nineteen years later, the line reached Hamburg, and by 1906 was open to Hanoverian station, today known as Hamburg Hauptbahnhof.

In the early 1970s, a number of trials took place to assess the line’s capability for high speed running at 200km/h. The trials proved to be a success and later that decade, a 78km (48 mile) section from Langenhagen to Uelzen was relaid to accommodate high speed trains, with the rest of the route upgraded by the end of the 1980s. Today, the 153km (95 mile) lines sees a busy mix of high speed and commuter passenger trains alongside regional and international freight trains.

From the major transport hub of Hamburg, the route runs south through Harburg, Lüneburg, Uelzen and Celle. Landmarks along the route include the Metronom Depot at Uelzen, one of the company’s main maintenance depots for its commuter trains, Hamburg Docks and Hanover Flughafen’s underground station.

South of Hamburg is also Maschen Marshalling Yard, Europe’s largest such facility and the second largest freight yard in the World. Covering an area of 280 hectares, the yard is around seven kilometres long and has a total track length of 300km, handling up to 11,000 goods wagons each day.

The line is probably most well-known for its record breaking feat – on 13 August 1980, locomotive 120 002 set a new world speed record of 231km/h for rotary current locomotives between Celle and Uelzen.

The Hamburg-Hanover route for Train Simulator is an accurate depiction of north Germany’s most important railway line, passing through spectacular scenery, unique stations and major freight depots. Enjoy this stunning route with the included DB ICE 2, DB Class 101 and DBAG Class 294.

This is a good route and it is full of life. It has everything you want: slow commuter services, high speed trains and freight trains. However, it seems a little over priced.

A very nice and very long 156 km/96mi route which will keep you busy for an hour in the ICE2. Max speed on this route is 200 km/h (120 mph) and is governed by the LZB system.

The Hanover and Hamburg stations/cities are very well modeled and the big plus here is that this isn't much of a hit on frame rates. I have the draw distance set to 60/70% which makes a heap of difference in frame rates. This is because the simulator has to load smaller chunks of data to render the next part of the route thus having to invest less effort to do so. Some routes show this. You see the horizon being built up. But on this route this is really acceptable. You don't really notice it.

And that makes for a very pleasant experience.

The scenery in between the two cities is beautiful. I had multiple emergency stops because the SIFA system kicked in while I was outside taking pictures.

One of my favorite routes thus far.

Cheers!

I am suprised about how good this route looks, especially when the route is from TS2013. However i am a little bit disapointed about that they did NOT includ Hamburg Altona, since that will be good for scenarios. But, i will recommend it.
It's a good route and again especially when it's from TS2013. Well done!

This is a very well done, quality route. There are large yards which allow for shunting and switching opportunities, there are opportunities for freight service, but there are also many opportunities for passenger service. Most of the passenger service is high speed, and after a while the high speed services can become fairly dull and boring. That said, overall this route is very high quality and allows for a wide variety of activities. I would definitely recommend this route.

So many PZB and LZB bugs in this route and half the scenario's can not be completed because of bugs*...
I can only recommend this route if you prefer to drive without PZB/LZB. If you do like to drive with PZB, buy the Koln-Koblenz route or get TS 2016 (which has Koln-Koblenz included)

*f.e. one scenario has a double locomotive in the front of the train, but since DTG decided to make the second one the main locomotive and the light turns red as soon as the first locomitve passes a signal, the LZB or PZB thinks the signal is red for the second locomotive => it applies emergency brakes.

If you like German routes, you won't be disappointed with this one. It's the first to use the more advanced caternary system. It has LZB and great for both long distance hauls both passengers cargo and cargo hauls. It has good performance, especially compared later routes. The only downside is once again DTG failed to implement the PZB system 100% correct for the whole route. Still it's a lot better compared to other German routes.

Primarily a high speed route add-on for those who enjoy the long runs at high speed and German traction. A mix of long and short distant scenarios. Since it dosen't take much to setup the cruise control and auto features on passenger trains to most of the runs can become rather bland or boring if this option is taken. However not setting them up won't cause issues and still be just as driveable.

Hamburg to Hannover is something what I would call as a possible success story in RSC's history, this route here features a stunning 153km (95 mile) route, and to be honest the route is actually so great that it barely have any kind of bugs or issues at all! This is truly one great masterpiece that someone tried to create out of passion to show the world ... "Yes, this is Train Simulator, and I want it to be the best in the world, not because I care about money, but because I want to amaze you, the player."

Of course this is not really true, imo, but still this is one of the best tracks ever released, even though the maximum speed is only 200km/h I still consider this one of the best tracks that is currently available for Train Simulator 2014 (2015 as of right now).

The only cons of this track what I can mention is that there are no kilometer signs next to the track, I couldn't find not even one anywhere on the track what I fould really annoying to be honest, there was just absolutely no way for me to use a list with distances to be able to time my breaking. The second problem is that it's not possible to make Quick Drive to have an all-stopper run, you will miss a few stops probably, but not all.

So anyway, I can recommend this piece to you truly, it is a masterpiece that is released yet.

I will rate this piece of DLC 10 out of 10. Even considering it had backdraws and issues, the pros overweight the cons so much that I can guarantee you that if you get this route you will love it, even at full price.

This is one of the best routes for Train Simulator. It gives opportunity for many diverse train operations: high speed, long distance passenger, freight, shunting. The route is great for HUD-less driving, as all speed restrictions have warning boards. With enormous number of loco DLC available, it is a good start for a large German collection.

The main gripe I have is that the route lacks its both landmark trains: Metronom and BR424. To enjoy it fully you thus have to add 28€ to its price.
