About This Content

The Class 377 ‘Electrostar’ is Britain’s most common Electric Multiple Unit and a favourite of London commuters, and now you can drive this advanced passenger train on Train Simulator.

Replacing the popular slam door trains on south coast routes, the Class 377 is a common sight on routes out of London, primarily on mid and long distance services, and can run on third rail and overhead line power. The first Class 377 units entered service in 2002 and currently total more than 200. They are also considered to be one of the most advanced commuter EMUs, with a sophisticated train management system, CCTV and air conditioning as standard across the fleet.

The Class 377 for Train Simulator is available in First Capital Connect livery, with features including working cruise control and dynamic in-cab display screens. Also included are three scenarios for the London to Brighton line.

The London to Brighton Add-On (available separately) is required to play the scenarios with this Add-On.

Scenarios

Three scenarios for the London to Brighton Add-On:

  • FCC Class 377 Introduction
  • FCC Evening Commuter
  • FCC Winter Worries
More scenarios are available on Steam Workshop online and in-game. Train Simulator’s Steam Workshop scenarios are free and easy to download, adding many more hours of exciting gameplay. With scenarios being added daily, why don’t you check it out now!

This train is really like a reskin of the Southern 377 from the London - Brigton route. Charging $20 USD just for a reskin and scenarios is wrong, I agree with everyone with the reviews here that it should be cheaper. If you don't have the Thameslink Midland Mainline route which is London St. Pancras to Bedford then I would recommend you get it through the twin pack which I got this through so that way you could save money. If you own that route already then I would rather say wait for a sale to come by to buy this train alone.

There's even no scenarios for MML so no wonder why they had inculded this in the twin pack.

This train is a reskin of the original 377 from the London to Brighton route. But costing an extra £12. Buy it on sale or not at all.

Felix.

Charging full price for a reskin is just plain greedy in my opinion so I can't recommend it on its own. However, there are loads of scenarios that use it and the repaint itself is fine so is still worth picking up either on sale or as part of a package.

It's just a reskin and an addition of an AC 25kv pantograph, but it's certainly worth the buy, when on sale.
