About This Game

The Stanley Parable is a first person exploration game. You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley. You will follow a story, you will not follow a story. You will have a choice, you will have no choice. The game will end, the game will never end. Contradiction follows contradiction, the rules of how games should work are broken, then broken again. This world was not made for you to understand.

But as you explore, slowly, meaning begins to arise, the paradoxes might start to make sense, perhaps you are powerful after all. The game is not here to fight you; it is inviting you to dance.

Based on the award-winning 2011 Source mod of the same name, The Stanley Parable returns with new content, new ideas, a fresh coat of visual paint, and the stunning voicework of Kevan Brighting. For a more complete and in-depth understanding of what The Stanley Parable is, please try out the free demo.

If this game is on sale, it's one of the best games you can buy with money. As for games you cannot buy with money, it's about average. Seriously though, there are so many paths to explore and so much to discover! If you keep the baby alive for the time specified, there's a miraculous award.

Don't read the reviews, don't google any youtube videos, spoilers are everywhere! This game is very experimental and unique. Unfortunately, it is also very short.
You'll experience everything this game can offer in about 3 hours. If you can get it on sale, it's a no-brainer. Much harder to recommend at a full price.

Make sure to also play the 'demo' for this, which is in fact, it's own unique mini-game!

Wow this game is a disapointment. I thought doing everything the narrator says not to do would be fun but no he just makes you go into some lengthy explination about why youre wrong or how youre crazy or something. The broom closet was funny though. Probably gonna get a refund.

This game is fun. There are so many different endings, and the naration is great. Eventually you need to take the same path multiple playthroughs and they are just like "yea yea, you know whats going on" and just activate things right away. Very clever game to just play around in.

If you are an acheivment huner be warned, these can be annoying lol

Good story. The less you know about the game when you start, the better.

There once was a man named Stanley,

Who people considered so manly.

But the truth must be told,

He was not very old,

And was quite particularly gangly.

What Stanley liked most was buttons.

He pushed them like some kind of glutton.

He did it all day

In a meaningful way,

But his brain had long ceased to function.

Which is why he is in this parable,

And lives an existence quite terrible.

And if you are not strong,

And keep playing along,

You too will become quite unbearable (x2).

"This is the story of a man named Stanley. Stanley worked for a company in a big building where he was employee number 427...

Get comfortable, the endings are different but the intro will always be the same."

You play as Stanley and follow or derail a not really great story. The story is nonlinear as you listen to or disregard The Narrator.

I highly recommend this game but I really don't but The Narrator is holding me at gunpoint and I would suggest buying it but really don't because The Narrator will be after you too.

Have fun!

Okay, I wrote a good review, check for yourself!

Dude, I've done everything you've asked me to do! Can you please put the gun down?

!!!

Please! I have family and friends that I need to get back to! I promise I won't tell anyone about this!

It's worth a few dollars, you'll get a laugh out of it, but the $15 regular price on here is ridiculously overpriced for the time you'll spend in game.

A walking simulator done right. A game that's extremely aware of itself and the player, and uses its meta narrative in clever, inventive and enjoyable ways, unlike 90% of indie trash. Humor, horror, drama - it does it all and does it well. Has surprising amounts of replayability.

One of the few games to truly make me laugh out loud; the way the Narrator responds to your actions (or lack thereof) is just genius!
Whilst the game may be short, it is eminently replayable to discover all the different routes and endings.
Thoroughly recommended!
