I highly recommend the game for musicians or anyone interested
although as a metalhead, there could A LOT more metal bands
and rock bands like "Rival Sons" "Kadavar" "Trivium" "Suicide Silence" "Parkway Drive" and "Arch Enemy"
Deathmetal, deathcore, grindcore or generally PURE FOCKING METAL!
since it's more "soft" rock

other than that, it's awesome!
focking worth it

This game is a steaming pile of garbage when it comes to user friendliness. You can have the adequate level of hardware and still this game is darn near unplayable out of the box. Instead of just patching this piece of crap to fix the issues, Ubisoft posts guides on how to go edit the rocksmith.ini file. That is absolutely absurd; as a software company you should be utterly ashamed that you would have to instruct a customer to do that. I forgot how I initially fixed the 90% distorted sound way back when I first bought this crap software. So I started having trouble with the RealCrap cable picking up my guitar during calibration for a second profile I was setting up for lead guitar. I reinstall the game, and now the sound distortion issue is back. Don't buy anything from this joke of a company. Their glory days are long passed.

Really fun way to learn guitar. Along with a song selection, it has mini games which can be used for ;earning chords or just getting comfertable with the guitar.

Probably the best thing in the world to help you become a pro at playing the guitar, so helpful, tons of tips and tricks, and lots of songs to play! And.....MUCH cheaper than a guitar teacher! 10/10

Learning guitar can be incredibly hard.

One of the hardest parts is figuring out why does it say miss when I play it right.

Awesome game.. I really love it and play it often for a couple years now.. i have over 1000 hours playing and I have noticed a difference in my playing. Learing songs is cool and a good motivator to play but the session mode will make you a better guitarist. Something else that I dont see commented about the game and for me a perfect reason to buy the gaem if nothing else is the AUTHENTIC TONES. you can just select the tone from a song you like and your guitar sounds just like the guitar in your favorite song.. You can also create tones with sound from just about any guitar equiptment out there. The cost of just a decent amp is alot more than this game, and this game offeres you LOTS of amp and pre amp options, with pedals. soo much to play with. I have not p[ayed a game more than this in my life and im 39.

Amazing game to add to your guitar practice routine. I wouldn't recommend relying solely on Rocksmith to further your guitar playing, but if used in addition to normal practice, it's a great tool to either introduce the basic fundamentals to beginners, polish up some skills for more intermediate players or just to have some fun and learn some songs. Learning songs is very easy as you can slow down the songs or simplify them until you're comfortable enough to move up in difficulty/ speed. The ever-expanding library of available songs to add to your playlist is huge and you'll definitely find something to suit your tastes in the vast selection of DLC songs.

The only small problem I've come across is in the dropped tunings (mainly Drop C), where the low notes don't always register.

Overall 9.5/10

Self taught for years, just from 2 hours played I have leared way more. Definately pick it up, especially because it is on sale. The cord is expensive, but worth it.

Possibly the best way to learn guitar, picked it up a few days ago, can now play Stone - Alice in Chains flawlessly, it teaches all techniques, and adjusts difficulty. There is a built in riff repeater allowing you to slow down specefic sections of songs which you may find difficult to comprehend. My only concern prior to buying the game was the Song catalogue, but there is no need to worry, here are some of the bands, Alice in Chains, Slayer, Tenacious D, Iron Maiden, Def Leapord, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, naming a few. Another great feature is the ability to test out a huge selection of amps, from the marshall jcm800 to the orange tiny terror, there is a large variety, this serves as a try before you buy, and allows you to make some pretty nice riffs, either with a high gain crunch sound, or a low gain clean sound, its all up to you. You can even tune the amps!.
To conclude if you want to learn guitar, or master it for that matter, this is the way to do so, the UI might be difficult if you are used to tabliture but you can get used to it.
