"A beautiful masterpiece that everyone should try ... it might be the most compelling and beautiful indie game I’ve played all year."

- Alex Faciane, Gamezone
"The creepy atmosphere, the single-minded focus on extremely minimal actions, and the mocking self-awareness all contribute to a deft statement on games and how we play them."

- Garrett Martin, Joystiq
"Should you play this game? YES. [...] The confused people wonder if Little Inferno is even a game. The impressed people write about how, as they finished the game, they got choked up."

- Stephen Totilo, Kotaku

A charming interactive experience. Made me reflect on consumerism and human interaction. However has no replay value.

It may appear like a simple, unsuspecting toy of a game at first, but play on and you'll be pleasantly surprised...

Less of a game and more of a sandbox with some trial-and-error matching puzzles, Little Inferno is primarily a dark comedy about kids playing with fire. Behind the irreverant venier, however, can be found some interesting philosophical questions about the concepts of "ignorance is bliss" and "freedom vs. security". A very intriguing interactive experience, if rather straightforward. Keep your speakers turned up, because when the music swells, the music SWELLS.

Seems like a good way to pass some time, or to let off some steam...
I wish it had a section with personal stats on it, but I'd probably burn that as well...

The graphics for the fire is pretty good, and at least you can unlock more catalogs to purchase more stuff to burn. Would be fun to burn them, though.

Hey, kids! Do you like toys? Know what`s more fun then play with toys? SETTING THEM ON FIRE!!

I have passed this game 4 times. All catalogs was completed for gold and all combos was found.

So, In this game you can burn everything, that you wanted to burn. Starting with credit cards, ending up stars and planets. Every of this you can burn and find combos to unlock next catalog.

Personally, I liked the sounds in this game, there realy good.

If you feel the story of main character - little boy, which burns everything, this game will leave you with positive memories for a long time. Final of this game is realy great (without spoilers)
This game is definitely worth this $5. Thank you, Tomorrow corporation, for this great indie game.

There's a lot more to Little Inferno than meets the eye, but let's start with the basics. Do you like to burn things? If, like me, your answer is YES!, then the Little Inferno Entertainment Fireplace is for you! Additionally, if the idea of squashing and/or burning spiders appeals, then this product is also for you. If neither of these hold long term appeal, never fear - you can collect coins and purchase products (to burn and begin the process again). Everyone enjoys purchasing digital junk! Not you? Well, what about progressing through catalgoues and collecting GOLD STARS? And COMBOS. What about combos? Everyone likes combos!

It's this commentary that makes Little Inferno great - it has something to say about the state of games, about itself, about you. Yes, it is a ridiculous game, but you'll get more than you bargained for from it - or at least you should.

So, how does Little Inferno actually play?

Well, it's best described in three easy steps:
Step 1: Burn items.
Step 2: Collect coins.
Step 3: Purchase items.
Rinse and repeat.

But I'm not a pyromaniac. What's the point?

The point is to burn your way through catalogues of items to unlock new catalogues of items to burn. If you're a completionist, you can get gold stars on all of your catalogues. If this (understandably) isn't enough, there's combos - these are likely what you'll spend most of your play time on. These are Little Inferno's puzzle aspect. From the title of the combo, you have to work out which items to burn together to achieve the combo. This gets a bit trickier towards the end when you have multiple catalogues of items to choose from. That's about it for Little Inferno's gameplay. As for the /point/, well, you'll have to find that out for yourself.

But, as much as there is more to this game...

10/10 - would spend a day burning fake items in a fake fireplace again

This game is therapeutic for pyromanics, but much much safer

Seriously though, its fun, casual, and has some decent puzzles, as well as an intriguing storyline, which I honestly didn't expect when I started playing. Its a pretty quick game, I finished in 3 hours, but I don't mind short games. Main con though is that It has basically no replay value. If its on sale, you should get it! I luckily got it with a Humble Bundle. Otherwise, not sure if its worth $10.

I would never have imagined, that tossing toys into the fire is so much fun!
I like the ending, it hides a message and somewhat turns the point of the game upside down :)
Buy it, find out. :)

A gem of a game that everyone should try.
The mechanics are very simple, and the gameplay doesn't last long, but it's totally worth the price, especially if you buy it during a sale.
The music is great and I enjoy listening to it when I'm not playing. The graphic design is cute and original, it really stands out. The story is great.

I keep playing even after finishing the storyline, simply because burning stuff is fun!
