Reviews

"A beautiful masterpiece that everyone should try ... it might be the most compelling and beautiful indie game I’ve played all year."

- Alex Faciane, Gamezone
"The creepy atmosphere, the single-minded focus on extremely minimal actions, and the mocking self-awareness all contribute to a deft statement on games and how we play them."

- Garrett Martin, Joystiq
"Should you play this game? YES. [...] The confused people wonder if Little Inferno is even a game. The impressed people write about how, as they finished the game, they got choked up."

- Stephen Totilo, Kotaku

This delightful, little, and simplistic game perfectly appeals to the inner pyromaniac in me.

Graphics are well done..
Music and audio are appropriate and nicely ambient..

Combo names may not always align well with the items burned..
there may not be a lot of replayability...
but...

who are you kidding..
if you get this game..
it's just because you want to watch the world burn
(but without the arson charges and prison time)

This is truly unique and amazing game. I would like to write something more, but I feel like with each word of description I would take away surprise and fun factor that this game has. So I will say just this much: this is an interesting experience and a game that stays in your memory long after you finish it. Try it.

An experience
"Little Inferno" is unique. The only game I can think of that is similar is "Papers, Please". The gameplay really takes a backseat in this game. But the way the story unfolds around you is amazing. You regularily get letters that tell the story, while sitting at your fire without seeing anything else but your fireplace.
Although the gameplay really gets repetitive after a while and the waiting implemented as "shipping times" kinda gets annoying, the story makes up for it. Even though I only played it once a few months ago, the story sticked and still has an impact on me even now.
So if it's on sale and you have time to sit down for a few hours, let yourself get immersed by this amazing journey with an amazingly cute artstyle, a uniquely told story and a connection to the characters without ever meeting any of them I have never seen before!
