A light hearted wonderful game with a great sense of humour.
McPixel is a fast paced indie game that stars “McPixel” a strange character that goes around saving the day from all things explosive!
You are thrown into various different situations in various different settings and given 20 seconds to save the day, how that turns out is down to you and your fast thinking. It is not at all a serious game and it’s very likely that 95% of the time you will blow something up on your first try. But it’s still fun none the less and the level comes back around faster than you can even think about it. It has a somewhat crude but hilarious sense of humour, with very bizarre gags in each stage.
There was quite a few times during my time playing that I just thought, “Who the hell would do that?” and had a little chuckle to myself. But there you go, that is the magic and charm of McPixel.
The music is extremely repetitive, but strangely enough it isn’t annoying. It’s more catchy then annoying.
The main game is pretty short and there is a load of free DLC for you to play afterwards if you want to. (So there are a lot of days to save!)
If you were to play this nonstop the whole thing would probably take you a few hours, and it’s probably a good idea to take breaks due to its fast paced nature.
Generally I really enjoyed it; I thought it was pretty fun; there are a lot of references and things to have a laugh at in this game. So it’s something fun to throw on when you are bored.
