♥♥♥♥ing RPGMAKER.
Where to start? Let me begin by saying a quote from the devs themselves...

"Simple enough for a child, powerful enough for a developer"

Seriously, that says it all. Its REALLY easy to use, and POWERFUL. Look at what i've done, my SECOND demo within 24 hours of total use time with this is a little decent. I even gained 15 subs already.
But im not here to brag, because i'm nowhere near the "holy ♥♥♥♥" subs.
This "game" allows you to create RPG games. However, if you know how to code, you can change EVERYTHING.
EVERY.
THING.
Everything, even if you can't code, is editable and you can even wipe away HEALING or DEATH entirely. You can break the game as much as you want!
Your game, your rules!
Want damage to heal, and heal to damage? SURE!
Want to have "WHERE THE HELL DO I GO" The entire game? SURE!
Want to make it to where NO COMBAT EVEN HAPPENS? THAT TOO!
I feel powerful when I use this, I finally get to put my little worlds into a viewable form.~
Seriously, if you don't have this, GET IT.
You should even buy this at full price, considering how much effort was put into this!

You can even draw things, write music, and all that, and throw them in! You have the power for EVERYTHING in RPGMAKER.
Plus, To The Moon, IB, and Mad Father were all made by the RPG MAKER series!!!!!
IB.
♥♥♥♥ING, IB.
Get it. Now. Throw your wallets at this. NOW.

RPG Maker, a program so easy my mom could use it! And she thinks that a screenshot means sticking an injection needle into your monitor. The interface is simple dropdown lists, these lists basically do all the 'programming' for you. I don't even need to script much to make my game, but you can do so much more when/if you use scripts. The best part is you don't need to script at all. (I only use a persistant event positions script to be safe) The layout is simple as well, and it's not hard to find what you're looking for. Pretty much every bit of programming is boiled down to "point and click at this, type that in please, select okay and you're done" and fixing errors is easy as well since you can playtest right in the program itself. There's a little bit of a learning curve, but nowhere near as heavy as other tools I've tried, such as Game Maker. For the price you pay on the program (by the way, it's on sale this month at Humble indie Bundle) it's a powerful tool for making your games with.

It's lacking a few features though(I would love to be able to check if an actor's health is ABOVE a certain percent, I would love to have more weather effects too, and well I'm just nitpicky about certain things.) but to be honest if you want an easy way to make an old school RPG you can certainly use this software to get the job done. My only complaint is that the help document doesn't really explain how to do certain things with the program but there's tons of youtube videos and the steam community is usually pretty friendly. Would I give it a perfect rating? Probably not, but it's worth at least a 9.5/10 for the effort and the ease. Especially since you can sell your games and you own all the rights to the content and dlc you buy.

Well worth the 4 pack guys /girls and robots. This is the tip of the iceberg , very easy to use and get going creating some indie games. Great to see what you can come up with the dlcs are worth it too. Tons of dlcs create ingame battle scenes , outside , main map , inside map, interiour , make a grand speech line drawn indie game.

If you're a complete beginner at making games, this is a fantastic place to start. There are tooltips for practically everything to hold your hand with anything that isn't already straightforward enough.

On the other hand, if you already know programming you can try your hand at scripting completely custom game systems.

Lastly, you get a commercial license for everything which alone pays for the product if you ever intend to try to sell one of your creations or use the assets elsewhere.
