About This Game

Trials Evolution: Gold Edition marks the Trials franchise’s triumphant return to the PC gaming platform. RedLynx’s signature franchise, the Trials series first made its mark in gaming with the 2008 release of Trials 2 SE for the PC. That breakout indie success led to further success on the Xbox, but ever since then PC gamers have been clamoring for more Trials. Trials Evolution: Gold Edition is what they have been waiting for.

The Gold Edition Is Two Trials In One

Trials Evolution: Gold Edition will contain all the content of the original, best-selling XBLA game Trials Evolution. In addition, all of the single player tracks and skill games from Trials HD will be found in Trials Evolution – effectively doubling the content offering with two complete games, neither of which have ever before been available on PC.

OPTIMIZED AND ENHANCED FOR PC

Trials Evolution: Gold Edition will be optimized and enhanced for the PC gaming platform. All of the features of its forerunners – from the in-game editor, player sharing of tracks, and global Leader Boards, will be re-integrated into the game in a way that fits the new platform.

This game is absolutely fantastic and the inclusion of the HD levels is much appreciated if you never had it on 360; it really is like getting two games in one, and it makes progression through the more frustrating later levels a lot more tolerable when you can switch off between the two.

That said, I really wish they'd port this somewhere else -- I try to avoid getting Ubi and EA stuff on PC because of UPlay and Origin, and the port itself is also kind of janky; it requires DX10 so it's not likely to ever work in Wine, and performance is a little worse than it should be. For my money, Trials Fusion isn't nearly as good, but unfortunately that's the one they've chosen to support an OpenGL variant of on the PS4.

I for one, am having a lot of fun with this game. The physics are a little more challenging than some of its competitor games but that's to it's benefit. As for uplay, I'm putting my bet on them quietly slipping away from this game and disappearing like so many of steams other competitors.ie:gamespy,gfwl..and a myriad of other small time game services that have vanished into internet history.

You have to download Uplay to play this game. Its not even that good. No. A game on steam that downloads DRM? Might as well be selling me a virus. Go to hell Ubisoft.

Lesson learned about reading the reviews before buying a game. it installs a DRM and demands an account creation to play this thing. I would have gladly paid $20 for a pile of dog♥♥♥♥ but this game doesnt even come CLOSE to the high standards that dog♥♥♥♥ demands. Its like playing excitebike while on a bad acid trip. I'd rather play excitebike to be honest.

Very hard but awesome game! Nice graphics, cool community stuff and awesome music.
I recommend it to buy it on uplay because then you don't have to use steam. Otherwise you have to play it through steam and uplay.

I really enjoyed as far as I could get after that it really became more about precision rather than enjoyment. I haven't tried playing with a controller and would like to see if that changes anything. The customization of motorcycle and appearance was nice. I would reccomend this game to anyone who is interested in platforming games and linear puzzles.

The Trials games have always been fun and challenging games to play, however Trials Evolution takes it up a notch. Along with a huge amount of tracks (including endless amounts of user made creations), but there room for customization for both your rider and the bike.

Once you get in the saddle you'll be faced with an easy enough start, take to mind that the bike you ride is limited to leaning only, leaving turning to the game. This said the game eventually throws some serious challenges your way, with the highest levels proving to be vastly hard at times.
Coming out on top and going for gold will require patience and practise.
So if you don't have time for that, this isn't your game, but if you love to be challenged and you love explosions and crazy physics levels.. Well this is your kind of game!

One of the best games from Finland (don't get confused because Ubisoft is only publisher of this game and developer RedLynx is finnish studio). It's so addictive and you just want to break your best time/score in every track many times.

Absolutely worth of money, only negative thing is Uplay required to play this game!

Why is uplay involed. It ruins the game as I can't join friends due to stupid nat errors which I have done all I can to try and fix but the game won't have it. The game it self is good fun but uplay makes it impossible to play with friends.

Just plain amazing good old fashioned arcade fun. VERY highly recommended if you are a gamer, even if you don't have the faintest idea about motorcycles!

This game is a must-have. Despite some issues with Uplay (that's pretty obvious) the game offers endless hours of repeatable gameplay, and a fun-based biking experience for any user. No matter how many times you fire it up, you'll be relieved knowing that you did so. It's got excellent controls (even on a keyboard), beautiful graphics, wonderful gameplay, and an overall genius multiplayer mode. I highly recommend Trials Evolution!
