TJD: Chapter Two Soundtrack available now!

The official "The Journey Down: Chapter Two" soundtrack has now finally been released on bandcamp, with a whoopin' 100% of the revenue going to brain tumor charities and to fund young musician awards in the memory of the soundtrack's awesome composer, Simon D'Souza.

If you're into moody and film-noirish big band jazz, you don't wanna miss out. Besides, could there possibly be a better cause? I doubt it.

I had much fun with this game! I like the humour and art style even if the soulless black eyes creep me out bit. Game is maybe too expensive comparing to how short it is. If second one is as short then I will wait until it is in sale before buying. I look forward to see how story continues in that!

The Journey Down: Chapter One is a good looking, but terrible to play point and click adventure. The game's artstyle is appealing and all the backgrounds and characters are well done, but thats about all the praise this game will get. The story itself is bland and the delivery is atrocious, the "puzzles" are so easy and unchallenging a monkey could probably do it. Additionally some of the characters are extremely annoying as they try to play it off as funny (I am not even sure if this game has a target audience based on its subject matter). Now given the above I'd almost be willing to count this as a good feature, the game is also insanely short, you can clear it in literally a couple hours. I do not recommend this game to anyone, there are good point and click adventures out there that offer challenge or a good story, this has neither of the two essential elements.

This is a clever and well executed point and click graphical adventure series.

The quality and finesse are up there with such classics as 'Monkey Island' and 'Grim Fandango'. The characters are lovable.... the puzzles are just right....the story is intriguing and has you hook from the start with it's African theme. To top it all off, the graphics and animations all add additional flavour to the experience. - Superb!

I'm not quite sure if I like this game or hate it. The puzzles are bleh, made me feel like I was playing a childrens game. The story is alright, but the characters are kind of uniquely-scary voodoo doll looking, Freaks me out. I like point and click games, but this one is so short to complete and leaves you in a -.- mood when done. For the price, I would say no, on sale I would say yes. Where is the maybe recommendation at ffs? For now, I will just say no and stick with The Walking Dead game.

I understand that there is no accounting for taste, but I just don't enjoy the game. The style is very cool, but the dialogue and problem solving just didn't meet my standards which are, of course, personal and arbitrary.

At least this game was worth the money I paid. The content matches the price. It is worth a look, but I just... don't... like it....

Wow - on sale for 69 cents? Worth that in spades. I paid full boat last February. No complaints though.

Made me and the kids laugh. Good music. Sure wish it was more like "The Wold Amoung us" in that you pay once and get all the chapters as they come out.

Was a really fun game, a little short, but fun. The characters are weird looking but if you take a look at the special features you'll see what inspired them, and the backgrounds and music for the game are very well done, Chapter One will definitely leave you hanging, and wanting to play more! The only complaint i really have is the transition from one place to another is a little slow, and one of the items was really overly difficult to spot, but this may not bother most people. All in all, not a bad little game for about $6, would definitley recommend it.

Note: I have not yet finished this game. Review subject to change.

I was playing around with different amateur game engines a few years ago, and during that time, I tinkered with AGS for a few weeks before moving on to VXAce. An early demo of A Journey down was one of the games made on the engine that stood out to me as having the of potential to really shine. I'm happy to see that Sky Goblin has been making progress all this time, and I'm excited to see where the story goes.

Great atmosphere, and charming music. There is no denying that the game has potent mojo. Rough around the edges in that forgivable way that most indie games are. All in all solid point and click adventure. Recommended to fans of the genre.

Got this game for free from the developer.

I gotta say this is an amazing point & click game, with a great story and an awesome soundtrack. I will definitely continue the storyline which is in Chapter 2.
