"An excellent indie puzzle game featuring many challenging levels which are neither too easy nor ridiculously hard. Both Funny and melancholic at times."

About This Game

World of Goo is a multiple award winning physics based puzzle / construction game made entirely by two guys. Drag and drop living, squirming, talking, globs of goo to build structures, bridges, cannonballs, zeppelins, and giant tongues. The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo are curious to explore - but they don't know that they are in a game, or that they are extremely delicious.
  • Mysterious Levels - Each level is strange and dangerously beautiful, introducing new puzzles, areas, and the creatures that live in them.
  • World of Goo Balls - Along the way, undiscovered new species of Goo Ball, each with unique abilities, come together to ooze through reluctant tales of discovery, love, conspiracy, beauty, electric power, and the third dimension.
  • The Sign Painter - Someone is watching you.
  • World of Goo Corporation - Congratulations! World of Goo Corporation is the Global Leader in Goo and Goo Related Product, including World of Goo Corporation Trademark Brand Soft Drink Beverage and World of Goo Corporation Trademark Brand Facial Exfoliating Lotion. Succulent!
  • Massive Online Competition - Human players around the world compete in a living leaderboard to build the tallest towers of goo in World of Goo Corporation's mysterious sandbox. World of Goo Corporation is contractually obligated to state that everyone is a winner and is enthusiastic to celebrate everyone's tower building opportunities equally.

    Congratulations, and good luck!

Played through the whole game about 1,258 times on WiiWare, iPhone and Android. Why? Because it's the dog's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (i.e. very good). World of Goo boasts a delicious art direction, a ridiculously good soundtrack, a surplus of clever & surprising ideas, constantly evolving gameplay, hilarious satirical humour and an incredibly well-written and well-thought-out story.
The game is also technically impressive, with mighty good physics to support the clever puzzles and fabulous optimization that makes everything run better than diarrhoea. It's also surprisingly atmospheric and even thought provoking at times.
One of the best games ever. 10/10, would bang, etc.

World of goo is a puzzle game about stacking "blobs?" all the way up into a tube. While this sounds like a terrible idea in theory, 2d boy pulled it off very well.

World of goo starts off easy. VERY easy. The normal missions consist of stacking the gooballs in various shapes (such as bridges and towers) to reach your goal.

However, for completionists world of goo's novelty begins to rot very quickly. With every level, included is an OCD, which is the game's way of saying EXTRA GOAL. This usually consists of saving more gooballs or doing something extra. The OCD system is ridiculous. It is so difficult, it isn't even funny. This is one of the times where you're actually happy to skip past 100% and get on with the game because it is so unforgiving.

In short, world of goo is a fun casual game that is plagued by complex and ridiculous puzzles for the attentive and curious ones. However, I still recommend the game.

The soundtrack alone is worth 10 euro. Gave me decent chills through the story, but the ending gave me so many chills that my adrenaline started pumping like crazy, not because of the story, but the music alone.

I always had this understanding that puzzle games are suposed to have a difficulty curve and not just drop super aggravating near impossible levels until the end.
Also I shouldn't need reflexes in a puzzle game.
