Antichamber is a wonderful exploration of the first-person perspective; it is both about understanding the conventions of FP, and about how those conventions aren't immutable, but are as the parallel lines axiom is to Geometry.

The minimal aesthetic helps immensely to underscore the focus on the puzzle design and mechanics; art direction is clear and consistent.

Soundtrack is a very soothing set of ambient pieces that would not be out of place on Hearts of Space.

In other words, it's right up my alley.

Fantastic game!

I haven't played a game similiar to this one, and I love to explore wierd and colorful worlds.
This unique game sucked me in and made me look for solutions for hours.

100% worth it.

But be aware! I never heard of motion sickness before and I didn't read any comments before i purchased this item, but I was feeling sick after the first 20 minutes of gameplay. I had to sotp for 2 hours before i could return.

I found out, that using speakers instead of a headset and Downsampling (NVIDIA: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dsr/technology ) help a lot.

Downsampling is great because it sharpens the blurry models used by this game.

Enjoy!

This game, oh this game, god damnit lmao

It's like life lessons put into a progressive, "freeway" puzzle game,
that is also a "serious comedy" that examplifies by itself said life lessons.

For example:
Fake floor -> drawing in the wall that says "Sometimes we fall into things when we least expect it"

It has some basic mechanics, and it makes great use of them. The rest is just situational stuff.

It also has those slightly trippy, topologically impossible space manipulations (turning 8 square 90º corners to the right)

The basic mechanic of the game is a "block gun" as shown in the trailer, which has upgrades that might sound trivial but in fact are very useful.

Sometimes, a few mechanics can get a bit broken and let you through what you weren't supposed to,
but in the first playthrough, you'll basically never encounter them.

First person puzzle game that forces you to think of 'other' solutions.
The major downside of this game is that it is not clear if you can solve a current puzzle or not. This can create situations where you give up on a puzzle while you need it to complete the game, or spent a long time solving something that you cant solve yet...

One of the best puzzle games I've ever played.

While the aesthetics are odd, mysterious, and sometimes even confusing, the world itself plays its role as part of the puzzles and challenges you have to get through. The game doesn't hold your hand, but when I overcame the challenges within it was always extremely satisfying, and the game continued to build upon your skills developed throughout. I don't want to say to much more as going into this experience as spoiler-free as possible (not that there is much clear plot) is what I'd consider to be the best way to play this game.

Anyone who likes puzzle games or enjoyed the mechanics of series such as Portal does not want to miss out on this game.

Antichamber is not only good for was it does, but also for what is does not. It is not linear nor is is open-ended. If you play the game, then you will understand what I mean. The game treats you well by constantly rewanrding you for succeeding a challenge and even failing by encouraging you to try again and find another way to solve the game's devilishly hard puzzles, or rewarding you wil new route around puzzles to solve something either easier or harder. The game, as a game, always tries to confuse you as well as study you in order for it to predict your mistakes. A truely wonderful experience. This review is not meant to be helpful, but only describing why the game is amazing without spoiling too much,

This is one of the best puzzle games I've ever played. I really enjoyed learning the game mechanics by playing instead of having a tutorial (although I did have to check a walkthrough to literally walk through a door).

A bit of a recommendation, always test your new "gun" to find out all the things you can do with it, the upgrades are not always so clear.

This game does more in 8 hours than most games can do in 60. By far the best puzzle game.

Antichamber cured my addiction of wow for good. I've been preaching for this game since 2013. A friend ended up getting it and finishing it in a single, 8 hour playthrough, in ecstasy at the end. Others, having received the game for free, are at 10 minutes play time.

Can't say exactly what it is about Antichamber that can cause a perma mental switch, but it hits some hard while it leaves others indifferent. As a side note, I've seen this game's influence on numerous newer titles, and it always brings back the intense feels this game inflicted ^^

Mind bending puzzles on LSD, along with life lessons for the taking.

10/10 Would see a doctor again.

In all honesty though, this is one of the greatest, most headache-inducing puzzle games I've ever played. Bravo.

Interesting puzzle game that challenges you with things such as. "walk backwards" or "look into here to teleport" mechanics. Having to complete certain sections with limited supplies or getting the newer cube guns that allow added effects to your game play.

One of the most interesting and exciting puzzle games I've ever played! If you like to be mind-blown, then this is the game for you! Even if you're new to puzzle games, try this one out! It made a mysterious and thrilling playthrough series for my YouTube channel! You should check it out! ;) Too bad the game was kinda short, though I don't think my brain could've made it any longer! xD

This game is confusing. But extremely well made, and as long as you dont think too hard what you're doing, its not too mind blowing. However, this game has been made to stop you from not thinking and therefore, i found i could only play it in small bits to stop me internally combusting from the head first.
Overall, i thoroughly enjoyed this game and would recomment it to anyone looking for a simple but not at all simple puzzle game.
