When I was young my grandpa smoked all of the time. My mother always told him to stop, that he will get cancer and die. My grandpa was old fashioned and stubborn, so he didn't listen. A couple years later, he passed away of lung cancer. I promised my self I would never smoke, for fear of getting cancer and passing away. I never smoked. Now I regret that decision, because this game gave me cancer anyway.

It's a game where you pay to look good and to basically win. To improve you need to go to a gym or training, which costs (in-game) money. This can take time to get enough funds and the cash you get at the start will literally be gone in seconds. You can buy a second in-game currency, which many people choose to buy because your player just isn't good enough going through the higher leagues. Overall though:

Pros;
- Easy to learn controls,
- Alright graphics,
- Can be fun (for a short ammount of time).

Cons;
- Gameplay is horrid,
- It's a play to win game,
- AI is shocking.

So to conclude, if you like footy, get it (because it's free) but do not expect to be very good because you have to pay to be good.

I've had a lot of fun playing this game (and still do, my steam time is not a true reflection as I've had it longer than on steam).

Just to start, it seems recently there was a gameplay patch, which improved some of the aspects of the gameplay, and made the keepers less stupid (somewhat). So it seems perhaps there is some interest in developing the game more.

http://news.footballsuperstars.com/post/113283197603/fs-gameplay-update-15v1-1 (Dated 10th March 2015)

There are some pretty big flaws though, namely;

The Community: - Generally, very unfriendly to new players. That said, I've had some really positive experiences on here with the community, actively trying to help (without request). Being an individual player on a team is a really nice idea, but when you get paired up with certain people, the game is incredibly frustrating (this can of course go the other way). Couple that with the fact people often just refuse to play their assigned position (usually defence) and that can really ruin it.

Lack of players: - The community is relatively small, (which can be a good thing to some extent), but often this can result in having to wait a while for games to start. This tends to only really be the first game in each session, once you've played your first you kind of slot into a cycle and games seem to get going with less wait time.

Pay model: - IF you are prepared to put some money into this game, you can outclass players of the same level (or even higher levelled players). Occasionally (albeit rarely in my experience) you come up against teams of people who seem to be "shopped", and who work as a team, and they will wipe the floor with your disorganised team. I can't speak for the top division, but otherwise you usually can still be competitive without spending money on the game (From experience).

Random bouts of lag: - I've not figured out yet if this is just me to be honest, but thought it should be mentioned.

Depending on how you view it, the gameplay / graphics can be a flaw. If graphics are super important for you to enjoy a game, then don't bother. Otherwise, after getting used to the controls and the clunkyness of the gameplay, it's actually more fun than frustrating and surprisingly, doesn't tend to get repetetive (other than perhaps, if you want to be a team player always seeming to be the de facto sweeper as more often than not, noone wants the job).

On the upside about this game;

The community: - it's pretty small, server population never in my experience exceeds "medium", whatever that is. This does however, mean that when you are playing you recognise people (which can go either way) but you can at least know what to expect. If you manage to get in playing with a good group of people (not neccessarily good skillwise, just who enjoy it and try to do the right things) it can be great fun. Unfortunately at the lower levels, this is more rare. Sometimes people will contact you to try and get you in a team with them if they decide you're less stupid than the majority of the playerbase.

There is actually a bit of depth and customisation to the game, briefly; fame points , equipment, active skills, passive skills, appearance (in so much as clothing) and the open world is kinda nice.

When you get used to it the gameplay is, believe it or not, enjoyable and the clunky nature of it almost endearing making it more satisfying when you pull something off.

Additionally, as you progress through the divisions, you can play 5 a side, 7 a side and then 11 a side. Which is probably sensible teamwork wise.

The game is far from perfect, and positives are probably outweighed by the negatives but if you get into it, it's a lot of fun and I would reccommend it.

This game is not even worth downloading, You get banned for bugs that you never knew about.

This game was great at first but now is just a game off chance... winning is just who payed most or how many friends you have.

I would stay clear off this at all costs, keep your money in your pocket,.

Maybe an angry post but im a developer myself and to have been banned myself for something i know more about than these admins is insane to say the least. the bug in this game that bans you is a code that was implemented, as we all know u cant hack a server from a client.

anyway stay clear and enjoy other non time wasting games
