About This Game

R.U.S.E™ is a one-of-a-kind real-time strategy game that allows players to bluff their enemies to lead their nation to victory, controlling the action using views that range seamlessly from the heart of the battlefield to the full theatre of war. Players will be plunged into the action thanks to the exclusive IRISZOOM® engine which offers an intuitive interface that allows for smooth, rapid transitions from a birds-eye view of the entire conflict, down into the heat of the battle and vice versa.

In R.U.S.E, your brain is your ultimate weapon as you fight a war of perception, where your ability to deceive and mislead your enemy determines success. A first in a strategy game, R.U.S.E reinvigorates the genre by using deception to give new-found depth to the gameplay.

Steps on how to R.U.S.E.
1.) Get some friends to play with you
2.) Beat the bots on hard
3.) Think you're the best at this game
4.) Join an online match
5.) Build some supply depots
6.) Sit there helplessly while they are blown up
7.) Realize the only people who play this game are already Gods at it
8.) Continue playing against bots for the rest of your life, and never exit the safety of a private match.

Good fun with friends and randoms, a true test of skill in multiplayer plus a fun campaign.

10/10 would use 500 katushwas to destroy one GI unit again

I think people who find this game repetitive and simplistic have missed most of it.

I have been playing all possible strategy games about war since the 90s and Ruse is for me the only one which captures most of the aspects of warfare into one easy to grasp, hard to master game. The trick is this semi-abstract gameplay which removes the burden of micromanagement and forces you to think much more on the strategic level to make game changing choices.

I play against the UK. They have the best planes so I watch for any sign of early airport, and there it is! So immediately I build Anti Air Base and start pumping AA units, spread it inside forests for best cover.
But it was a decoy airport, and the enemy was building tanks and infantry under cover on the other flank! With all the resource spent building useless AA, will I have enough to build a counter force?
Can I slow down the enemy assault with ambushed infantry, or make a diversion on the other flank with decoy units while I build artillery undercover ?

Ruse is the only RTS I know which offers so many possibilities, so many spectacular ways to turn upside down a losing situation. Watch commented replays they usually are fascinating.
