(20h+ of ps3 RUSE gameplay)
RUSE is a rather unique basebuilding/strategy game. You play with the minds of your foes by tricking and decieving them with different intel and so called ruses. You can decieve an enemy, luring them with decoy units, fake your unit types on the enemy radar, hide your units from enemy sight and much more. Use propoganda to scare away enemies or to rally your troops to fight until the end.
There are tons of unit types at your disposal, ranging from infantry, tanks, aircraft, artillery and prototype weapons. Most units are balanced with both strengths and weaknesses that you can abuse for your advantage on the battlefield.
My only problem with the game is that the resources on the map eventually runs out, so slows down long games unless you have prepared with an armada of expensive money generating buildings.
- Really interesting ruse mechanics and intel management.
- Unit variety
- Huge battlefields & maps
- Long battles turns quite hard to finish
- Bit lacking in building variety
