"Go around rooms shooting robots and taking control of others. Old robots die, new robots come in! My favorite Puppy Games title. Not many games like it!"

A fun , addictive shoot'em up. Easy trophies . The only thing , the later levels are about as difficult as kicking a lion in the face and surviving. Recommended .

Droid Assault is the perfect "coffee break" for the videogamer, a tasty indie game to drink and sip between an online multiplayer match and an intense session of your favourite MMO.With its retro-themed visuals and sound effects, Droid Assault looks sharp and plays like a dream. The deliberately simple designs of the droids and levels are heavily accentuated with stylish, mood-enhancing glowing light effects, lush explosion and fragmentation emitters, and sleek, pulsing damage animations.Droid Assault is smart, nerve-wracking, and intense.

Droid Assault might be the first game of its kind that I've played. It's your standard top-down twin stick shooter, but with the fascinating ability to completely hijack and become your enemies.

I particularly enjoyed the discovery of different powers of various droids. They range from being able to hover, to shooting lasers. Outside of that gimmick, though, I'm not sure what else there is to say.

I would have liked a way to scan the droids I am about to take over. As it is now, you have to remember what droids have what powers based on their appearance, which is kind of hard to tell since they all look vaguely alike. Also, the AI for your allied drones is just awful. I have no idea how to keep an army alive for any sort of boss.

There's a rudimentary upgrade system that is based entirely on random things dropped by the levels. I would have liked a way to upgrade things between levels as well.

Curiously there tends to be little reward for blowing up enemies. I guess survival is its own reward, but would it have been too much to ask for experience or cash? Something that makes me stronger.

I feel that the game suffers from its sheer lack of story or ending. At least Ultratron and Titan Attacks had a final stage before it loops to the beginning again. This game just goes on and on. It harkens a little too far back to the Atari days where we do nothing but play for points. I'm sure that style of gameplay appeals to some people, but definitely not me.

Overall, fun at first, but becomes completely and utterly pointless.

This is actually a really cute game. There are a TON of different droids, varying from: movement type, weapons, power output, battery size (for weapons), hull, armor types, and on and on. You start with one simple droid, and gain the ability to hijack others for your cause, assuming you have enough points to do so. Droids often drop permanant upgrades on death, sometimes armor and health boosts for your droids. Each level is all about domination, whether you do that by turncoating the enemies or simply killing them outright, you win. Droids you hack to your team stay on your team from level to level until they are killed. You can also swap between any droid in your little army.

Very, very fun.

You must own this game! It's the best of the Puppygames, and a great "taking quick break" game. Definitely revitalizes me when I'm coding or writing late at night.

Me encanta este juego. Eso de poder ir tomando el control de los robots enemigos es genial. La única pega que le veo es que no tenga modo cooperativo.
