About This Game

Dungeonland is a co-operative hack and slash game that takes players on a deadly tour through a medieval theme park. Playing as The Rogue, The Warrior or The Mage, the heroes will need to work together as a team to get past the evil overseer of this “Tragic Kingdom” – The Dungeon Maestro.

The truly diabolical can even take on the role of the Dungeon Maestro himself and wreak havoc on friends. Unleash the killer rabbits, drop some exploding frogs in their path, or whip up a giant fan and blow them all away.

Key Features:

  • Strategic Co-op Gameplay: Utilize each character’s unique skills and weapons, combine their special powers to form all new attacks, or just plain hack and slash your way through this treacherous theme park
  • Competitive Multiplayer: Play as the Dungeon Maestro himself and unleash evil on your friends. Summon your minion to thwart the heroes, conjure spells or take control of a boss monster and get in the action yourself. Then push the Evil Laugh button and let your sinister cackle reverberate throughout the land
  • Replayability: The DM AI randomizes monsters, treasures, and dangers each session to create a unique experience; player choice in equipping items creates endless combinations for more variety

Gameplay and leveldesigns are awsome sadly this game is close to impossible to play by now. because all the servers are gone, wich is a big problem because it is a VERY Co-op heavy game.
I enjoyed this at launch but sadly It's unplayable now

A laggy version of the old game gauntlet, with a newer look. Free to play, pay to win.

So now the standard game rating:
  • Story: 2/10 (Deep-Dark-Dungeon Master owns a theme park centered around being a dungeon for heroes. no other story.)
  • Gameplay: 5/10 (reminiscent of the old gauntlet game, but if you're going to have a game this hard, you can't have the lag cripple the player. Unacceptable.)
  • Presentation: 8/10 (Looks good, but looks are deceiving.)
  • Soundtrack: 7/10 (It's there.)
  • Replayability: 10/10 (the game could have you grind away to play for a decent amount of time, or you could pay 1 payment of $9.99 and skip all of that.)

While it was a great game for the first hour or so, It began to become boring for the lack of content. half of it being locked for p2p. which sucked a little. Would become much more interesting if the game has more alternatives to classes. and if modes such as areans became enabled.

This game's pretty great, it has a few bugs and doesn't always run amazingly, but it's generally very fun, especially with 4 players (one as a DM). I don't feel that it's too repetitive, but I would recommend investing in the additional mobs for the DM after a couple of games as it helps keep gameplay fresh and interesting.

I loved this game! It is hilarious, easy to play, and fun. If you have ever played D&D, or pretty much any RPG game, I think you will find this game very entertaining.

It is definitely a casual game, and as such, I HIGHLY recommend playing it with friends! Without friends, you lose a lot of the "Gah! I'm going to get you!" dynamic, and it quickly becomes the same thing over and over. But with friends... infinite awesomeness!

(And no, I am not a bot, I just like what I like :)

I made my friend ragequit with muslcular spinning ducks, giant floating fans and giant flying spiders.(10/10)

But seriously, this game is like a RTS game...which doesn't take itself seriously at all.

Best thing about this game?
Explosions,blood,gore and murder

As others have said, avoid due to the servers being taken offline and the dwindling playerbase, not to mention numerous issues with the F2P model, DLC and apparently card drops too. The devs are lacking in the moolah department, so this is pretty much abandonware at this point.

As for the game itself, it's a weird one - there's a decent title struggling within a cocoon of poor execution that isn't allowing it to spread it's wings. The premise is solid, the humour is pretty good and with good netcoding, a thriving playerbase and a fair few tweaks around the game, this could've been much better than it is.

Sadly, Dungeonland is a prime example of a game that illustrates the pitfalls of lazy developer updates and shocking connectivity (in a game that advertises itself as a multiplayer experience, no less). If you've got a few buddies who're up for some local play, then it could be worth a spin. Otherwise, keep your barge poles at the ready.

Played this for a couple of hours now. I have not had a single round that I didn't enjoy myself. And recently got the DLC pack with even more evil spells in store. Watch out Heroes! AHAHAHAHAHA!

Boring, Buggy, Bad.

Was playing first dungeon on casual just to get the feel of it. You get coins in the game VERY quickly. Most the things in game is only for appearence, which isn't bad, but means boring repetitive gameplay. First mission I played, black screened at the end and became unplayable. (Characters could still move, but couldn't see anything) There are ONLY 3 classes, though they have different skills, the amount of differences you can get within the classes are almost insignificant. Its really bad.

Probably fun with friends since it seemingly has very good multi-controller support but when playing alone or online there are definitely better options out there for the sort of mindless ARPG mayhem this should deliver.

An I7 with dual titans could play this game at 640x480 at about 10fps, poorly optimised game that has graphics that don't justify the slow down even on moderately powerful systems. Should have been better can't believe I actually paid money for this before it went FTP, which I'm guessing was a ploy ressurrect this fetid corpse.

It was a fun romp, until the servers went down...

It is an exetremely co-op heavy game so having to play singleplayer with subpar bots is not fun.

Right now the game is unplayable, wait for a patch that fixes the server crisis.

This game is a fun with or without friends. You can play as the dungeon crawler or the dungeon maestro, which is a nice take on this genre. Its fun to choose your monsters with certain benefits that could combo with each other such as the troll (Health regeneration) with the valkyrie (Heals other monsters) along possibly with a healing spell. You can customize your classes or buy new monsters with INGAME EARNED MONEY. You hear that EA? INGAME MONEY. Earned by winning by killing the crawlers or defeating the dungeon boss (Which the maestro controls). Whilst there is some buyable customization, they are completely cosmetic, only two bundles add more monsters for the maestro and is around £2.00 each. If your a slick ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like me you will probably pick up the DLC in a sale.
