About This Game

Street Fighter® IV brings the legendary fighting series back to its roots by taking the beloved fighting moves and techniques of the original Street Fighter® II, and infusing them with Capcom's latest advancements in next generation technology to create a truly extraordinary experience that will re-introduce the world to the time-honored art of virtual martial arts.

Everything that made the legendary Street Fighter II a hit in the arcades, living rooms and dormitories across the globe has been brought back in Street Fighter IV. Players can play their favorite classic characters, such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Guile, along with new characters, including Crimson Viper, Abel, El Fuerte, and Rufus. Characters and environments are rendered in stylized 3D, while the game is played in the classic Street Fighter 2D perspective with additional 3D camera flourishes. Six-button controls for the game return, with a host of new special moves and features integrated into the gameplay system. Street Fighter IV brings a brand new fighting game to fans the world over.

  • High Definition stylized 3D environments and characters
  • Traditional "2D" Street Fighter six-button gameplay
  • 25 Fighters including:
    • Classic Street Fighter characters re-imagined for a new generation of gamers, including the original cast of Street Fighter II
    • New brawlers: female super-spy Crimson Viper, lucha libre wrestler El Fuerte, mixed martial artist Abel and more!
  • New special moves that go beyond any Street Fighter fan's wildest imagination, including Focus Attacks, Super Combos, and the revenge-fueled Ultra Combo system
  • New gameplay elements provide challenges for both newcomers as well as the most seasoned Street Fighter pro
  • Global Online gameplay
  • Exclusive to the PC version of the game, three visual shaders based on the "artistic" trailers give a new look to the gameplay: Watercolor, Poster, and Sumi-E ink styles

If you're a fan of fighting games, especially old-school Street Fighter titles, then you'll enjoy this. They do a pretty good job tapping into the charms of previous releases, with updated graphics of course.

Fun game but gettting a controller will really help. Keyboards are not meant for fighting games.

Oh My God. It has been a long time since i've played street fighter. I found this on the store and bought it even though i couldn't remember how to do any combos or specials. It was super easy to get back into the swing of thing with this game, and at the low $20 price tag this is a must buy for anyone who has any interest at all in fighters!

If you're looking for a top quality 2D fighting game, you've found one with SFIV. An excellent addition to the most famous fighting game series. Welcome appearances of the major characters of old and some new ones aswell. Superb graphics and sound. Still, it is difficult to master even just one of the game's characters and you may be put off fighting the high level of online opposition.

If you're a fan of the Street Fighter franchise it is mandatory for you to pick this one up. At this point it might be better to purchase Super Street Fighter IV as it offers a bigger rooster. Also, Ultra Street Fighter IV is scheduled to be released this year around the summertime.

There are not many old-school fighter games on PC these days. You have the remade Mortal Kombat, too, so there isn't really anything else out there for us PC gamers. Just make sure you have a controller as with the keyboard it is a pain in the ♥♥♥♥ to play the game.

Interestingly, the story takes place right after Street Fighter II ended. Chronologically, the game can be put between the 2nd and 3rd episode. Bison's Shadaloo organisation still exists and organises another tournament to gather the best fighters in the world - this time, however, instead of Bison you have Seth as the final boss. Seth combines the best moves of all the players out there - he has a lot of counter special attacks, very agile and overall a pain on harder difficulty settings.

Gradually, you can learn to fight with each SF character and can continue to play online. You need a lot of time and effort to master these fighters. You can unlock many more as you progress through the game.

Overall, this is a really good game. When I was young my parents bought me Street Fighter II for the Super NES so for me this game was instantly captivating.

Basic fighting game, although Super Arcade Edition is preferred,
however, this game gives good fun as well

although sometimes the challenge mode is quite irritating

I like this game. It brings me back to playing Street Fighter II in the arcade! I love when a new challenger joins the game. It's like lining up quarters. However, I didn't like that I needed to install X-box Live. If you get it for a good price then it's definitelty worth it.
